Sarkozy orders deportation of foreign rioters

The latest on the Muslim riots in France from AFP, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

PARIS, Nov 9 (AFP) - Interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy on Wednesday issued orders for non-French rioters convicted in the wave of urban violence to be deported -- a measure directed at youths of Arab and African background living in the high-immigrant neighbourhoods involved in the unrest.

Sarkozy told prefects, or regional governors, to apply the order to foreigners including those who have valid French residency visas.

He told parliament that "120 foreigners, not all of whom are here illegally, have been convicted" of taking part in the nightly rampages that have occurred since October 27.

"I have asked the prefects to deport them from our national territory without delay, including those who have a residency visa," he said.

Somehow I seriously doubt this will happen. After the press demonizes this statement and calls for his resignation, sympathy will continue to be drumed up for these,"poor unfortunate youths". It's going to go on and on until eventually, even the muslim apologists are eliminated. Right before their heads are about to come off, they may come to their senses. Too late of course.

Shrewd man this Nick Sarkozy. Only one among Dhimmi French Leaders who appears capable of DOING anything POSITIVE. Corrupt Chirac slobbering over the female President of Lithuania's hand whilst Paris burns is hardly an edifying sight whilst Dominique de Villepin has nothing to recommend him save well cut suits and immaculately manicured nails! The weaknesses of these latter pair of morons should lead to their swift removal from office...

It seems like the only individual who is capable of dealing with this situation is Interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy. The Moolies hate this guy! I would'nt be suprised if there were attempts on his life by these neophyte jihadis. But one must stand up against this pyrojihad or things will get worse. Signs of weakness are taken as encouragment by these "people".Being poor and disenfranchised is no excuse to go and burn the world. What about the two electrocuted youths? They seemed to have been lost in all this. It's all just a sorry ass excuse to go destroy....which is what, from what I can see,is all jihadi "culture" is good for.Savages.

There will be calls for his resignation over this. He will be called islamophobe, and a zionist.

You can already hear it coming.

Somwe of these youths need to be stripped of Frnch citizenship and deported to their Islamic homelands. Arsonists should be shot on sight. It seems they do their best to spare Muslim and African cars. To torch French cars.

I have to disagree with two of the points made above:

1. De Villepin's suit was poorly cut, overly padded and obviously designed to give him presence - but comes off looking clownish.

2. Sarkozy is very sharp but his deportation remarks are an attempt to grab some of the popularity now going to Le Pen. Le Pen has been saying for years what panicked French politicians are just figuring out.

This jihad is just the logical extention of the Palestine model.
1. Establish "victimhood".
2. Justify terror through "victimization".
3. Obtain lands
4. Repete 2&3 ad infinitim

1&2 are given, 3 is on the table.

Posted by: kevin [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 9, 2005 4:23 PM

Mr Christian, calling the French frogs is not helpful to the cause. You don't recruit allies, win friends and influence people by calling them names.

And whether you realize it or not we can't go it alone, and I discount any bravado macho statements that infer we can. And it is my personal experience, that the loudest mouths are the weakests, the real surrender monkeys are the ones who cry "you'll get my gun from my cold dead hands".

2. Sarkozy is very sharp but his deportation remarks are an attempt to grab some of the popularity now going to Le Pen. Le Pen has been saying for years what panicked French politicians are just figuring out. Posted by: rafael699

I posted on an earlier thread, the following Is La Pen running France? as Robert says read it all.

The real problem in France is not the immigrants (legal or illegal) contratemps Sarkozy's statements, it is the 2nd and 3rd Generation Muslims born in France. They claim to be denied acccess and respect, but at the same time they insist on isolation and retaining their Muslim values, which sooner or later Europe is going to have to recognize are incompatible with the West.

There is a trial going on in Germany of a Turk and his brothers who killed their sister in an honor killing, on Deutsche Welle TV the camera and reporter went through a Turkish enclave in Berlin, and mentioned that many of them, though they have lived here for generations, don't even speak German, and the women, for all practical purposes might as well still be living in rural Turkey.

Too much money, too many profits, too many markets and contracts with Iran and the Muslim nations at stake, for anyone to dare mention the obvious, that the Muslims are not here to assimilate, that Islamic values are the antithesis of western values, that there is no way to appease the Muslims except by capitulation, and by the time they get it, if they ever do, it will be too late.

And the only reason America hasn't erupted yet (and I'll be there are hundreds if not thousands of honor killings in America, just not reported as such) is that the country is too big and the Muslim communities are ensconsed in their own enclaves which can be isolated like Houston, Dearborne, Detroit, Lackawanna, Phoenix, Paterson City and Jersey City.

Then again I wonder what the administrations response would be if they aped their brothers in Europe? I suspect another capitulation, after all the Saudis own a huge chunk of America, not to mention the dependence of UNOCAL, Exxon, Haliburton and Becthel on Arab and Iranian oil and money.

Posted by: Nariz [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 9, 2005 4:27 PM

I sincerely hope that France carries out this policy of instant deportation. No trials and coutless appeals as in Britain - just out you go. If it starts to do this, without concern for the fallout, the riots will cease immediately.

The most punitive measure the West can take against islam is hurting the umma i.e., stopping the growth of islam. We can do this quite legally without infringing the freedoms that we are accustomed to - in contrast to the policy now, which hurts everybody.

Deportations is the way to go. When these youths and their families (minors were involved in the mayhem, which makes their parents responsible), find themselves back in dar-ul-islam, with no social security benefits, no state provided education and health care, and nothing to burn, they will soon turn on each other, not just for their personal loss but the harm done to the cause of islam. They will also be condemned by the locals for having lost the opportunity to take Europe.

If a good argument convinced people, then most would agree that e=mc2.

Most people do agree, in fact, that e=mc2; but most people agree not because it makes better sense than any alternative but because most people have no idea what it means, only that everyone agrees that e=mc2. Only an idiot or a fanatic would disagree that e=mc2. I'm no idiot, so I agree that e=mc2. Furthermore, :) = ! To which I claim: o{=. So, my points are proven.

Comes to mind the poster from the 60s, an anti-war poster, the cut-line being: "Just because you killed a man doesn't mean you changed his mind." Some logic is unassailable.

Let's look at the Indian population, much of which is Muslim, much of India being Pakistan now. Did they sit down and think through the glories of Islam? Not from what I've read of the histories. No, they converted out of fear. What kind of argument will make them abandon Islam? A good one?

Most people believe what most people believe. Killing people doesn't convince the dead but it sure convinces the disbelieving to keep quiet their dissent until such time that everyone does agree with the new line. a bit of shear unreason is often very convincing.

(I don't really believe that e=mc2. I just say so because I don't want people to think I'm weird.)

Sarkozy has some decent points. He doesn't speak of "destruction of islam" like the whack jobs here. He only wants to deal with crime in these neighborhoods and get the police back to patrolling them. Anybody who commits a crime should absolutely be deported. But Sarkozy also says that there is discrimination in France and something has to be done about employment discrimination. He seems like a well balanced figure and he does make some sense.

The Suicide Bombers Among Us - Theodore Dalrymple

I asked him whether he thought that, in order to deter him from his course of action, it would be right for the state to threaten to kill his mother and his brothers and sisters—and to carry out this threat if he carried out his, in order to deter others like him.

The idea appalled him, not because it was yet another example of the wickedness of a Western democratic state, but because he could not conceive of such a state acting in this unprincipled way. In other words, he assumed a high degree of moral restraint on the part of the very organism that he wanted to attack and destroy.......Muslims by the rest of society not entirely irrational, though such suspicion and hostility could easily increase support for extremism. This is the tightrope that the British state and population will now have to walk for the foreseeable future; and the sweet dream of universal cultural compatibility has been replaced, in a single day, by the nightmare of permanent conflict.

How islamic, how very islamic!

And "Ryan:"

The "whack jobs" in France who have now smoked more than 6000 cars and damaged the host country with hundreds of millions in damages, probably billions (not to speak of the pensioner beaten to death, policemen shot and wounded and an old lady roasted alive, I know that doesn't interest you) yeah, those 'whack jobs' they want to smoke Szarkosy too, and they say so, in front of running cameras, without balaclava,'Ryan'.

We know they are out to kill. But for you it is the same if we call for the "death of Islam"- which is nothing but a perverted ideology?

Yeah, Muhammedans are rather touchy when it comes to that...But only to that...

Posted by: sheik yer'mami [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 9, 2005 5:48 PM

sheik yer'mami

Two months have gone by and NOT ONE muslim fanatic has been deported.

It is hard not to come to the conclusion that New Labour is doing its best to avoid deporting any muslim (Electoral reasons jump to mind). Yet it has to give the impression that its is striving to do so. We see this in the attempts to pass new legislation on terrorism that are quite unnecessary. The present laws, and there are laws going back a 1000 years, which are more then sufficient to deal with the situation. What is necessary though is the will to implement them - and that alas is not apparent.

Ryan posted: But Sarkozy also says that there is discrimination in France and something has to be done about employment discrimination.

If that were so, Chinese, Vietnamses and others would also feel the same way. They dont. In Britain, the unemployemnt figures for muslims is the largest. Yet Hindus, from the same part of the world as muslims, have no problems getting jobs - and good jobs as well. Hindus in Britain are better qualified and educated then Whites, and as a result have lower unemployment then even Whites. Muslims though are better represented in prisons.

Ryan, it is commendable that you are taking a tolerant and generous attitude to the rioters. Unfortunately this sort of attitude by the elite, specially the media, is a form of condescension that does no one any good, particularly the rioters.

Posted by: DP111 [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 9, 2005 7:13 PM

Obviously this whole thing is about control first and the root of the problem second. If the Muslims want change in France they should first condemn the actions taken and support the French Gov. in their efforts to stop the violence. Then become involved in finding a solution to the problem by being involved in the process. Not just standing back and blaming the French for their problems.
The Islamists want the chaos to reign down so they can strike fear into the Liberal power base and draw more consessions out of the already wildly socialistic state.
Everyone knows that the Liberals blame themselves first for everything that others accuse them of. Common sense dictates personal responsibility for your actions or there can be no real change. Meaning you burn cars you are a criminal. Whatever the French Gov. does should be based on this before they try to address the issue of inequality later.
But the French responses to confrontation in the past leave little hope for their people of stopping the violence or the take-over of their country by radical Muslims. Only the French people themselves can save them from this onslaught. The people of France should take to the streets and defend their country from this maadness. I know if it was in the U.S. there would be no tolerance of such madness.

The Eurabian dreamers set out to create a “Brave New World”, yet they created a monster that scares the hell out of them, they were willing to change History and even to join in with religion of peace rhetoric that reigns throughout a once proud continent, now, alas Europeans are being shamed into believing that it’s we that are the problem, we are not willing to give Islam a chance.

If we allow those who constantly pander to Muslims remain in power,we will no longer have Europe. France burns and they scratch their
heads, all the while blaming themselves for not being more understanding of Islam and its traditions. France are allowing Islamists
to finally practice what they have preached for so long, Muslims threatened civil unrest over the head scarf ban, now France is in flames and soon maybe the rest of Europe. Our Politicians are of the opinion that the solution to this is to allow Turkey into the EU, what kind of logic is this? We can’t control or trust a great
number of the Muslims already living here and they want to allow 70 million more of them, all inspired by the new master of poetry /jihad, “Erdogan the Dark” . The European dream is over, all that now remains of it is their “multi-cultural wasteland”.

"to cause discomfiture.."
-- from a posting above

Lovely word, discomfiture. Creates the very opposite of what it describes: a feeling of ease. Its mere appearance elevates the tone -- and god knows the tone here and there could stand some elevating.

Beautiful in itself, and also for what it so easily summons, such as "deconfiture" which, deprived of its privative, gives us "confiture," as in "confiture de fraises de bois" which might then lead us quickly from the banks of the Seine, by a commodius vicus, to the riverrun of the Liffey, where in a back room of a pub two doors down from the hazard that is just across from 7 Eccles Street, and where recently the postman found an arruginated key that looked as if it had been lying on the grass without complaint for 89 years, a jam session is in progress, and there are flourishes and licks of Jelly Roll Morton, and...

Like Keats's "forlorn," the very word "discomfiture" turns out to be like a b..--well, like a book, to take us lands away. Or like a candle, to light up the dark. Or if not book and not candle, then most obviously a bell, the Liberty Bell, that bell which rings its own changes to become, as an admittedly un-Grimm Law legislates, a bill, the Bill of Inalienable Rights.

And among those inalienable rights we hold to be self-evident is the right to free association which, if not precisely guaranteed by that capacious document, the American Constitution, is guaranteed by the mind of man, and turns out to be the most pleasant and profitable of all rights to exercise. And we all need exercise -- don't we?

It is my understanding that those evil French Presbyterians and French Huguenots are rioting and burning cars again tonight. Remember the massacre at La Rochelle. Vengence...Is Medina burning yet, how goes Mecca?

Stop...

Sorry, got my facts all mixed up again. I am merely floored that allegedly Muslims are rioting in France. Muslims and violence don't go together, do they? This MUST be a first.

Quoting from 'The Church of Our Fathers':
"Calvinism spread also into France, and for a time seemed on the point of winning the day until wars of religion broke out--fierce wars in which no side showed mercy. Protestants wore strings of priest's ears and a Roman Catholic commander asked his men: "Why do you crowd the prisons with Protestant captives? Is the river full?" ".

So maybe it will all be decided by who is to go into French rivers...native French or foreign immigrants from North Africa.

A familiar quote;

"Better to die on your feet than live on your knees"

But these are not the only choices. You could fight, resist, win back your home while standing with your brothers and sisters. Defend what is important to you, on your feet. Some may die on their feet, they die now, around the world where free men fight to stay free.

And kneeling is not an assurance of life, it only assures that the choice is no longer your own. Kneeling can be the last act you ever complete, Ask Pearl and Berg, and uncounted others. When you go to kneel, you are already dead, and your death will satisfy or sate nothing.

For a second there, I almost pee'ed in my pants when I heard that the French were growing a backbone but alas I am fooled again.

They're a dhimmi nation now and I am completely finished mourning the loss of this country. The French no longer care to survive as the nation that they once were. It was their choice to allow such a tremendous shift in demographic immigration. It is their fault for assuming that a demographic assimilation of Muslims would follow. It is their burden now that the Islamic agenda is intent on destroying Europe and they are too weak to oppose this Islamic conquest.

Apparently the French government values little and as they will soon discover according to their Islamic guests, human life equally cheap and easy to disregard.

As the fate of the French unfolds, simply remember that they chose this fate. I see no further need to holler and rant at them for their failed society. They can only blame their dismal lack of vigilance upon themselves in the face of this Islamic threat.

If a grave is the goal of the French, let them lay in it.

From post above:

"A Frog with a spine?"

A cartilaginous one, with lots of flex and no rigidity -- The amphibian, almost unique in the phylum of Chordata also reserves the right to scuttle back into the swamp and stick its eyes out just to watch, wait, and see... Most frogs also utilize extremely passive defenses such as hiding and camouflage in order to avoid confrontations, for which they is largely unprepared....

I'm sorry to hear that deportations of those involved in the insurgency, will not after all occur.

Never mind. They were only going to be a handful anyway, a figure around the hundreds at most. This is too small to affect the larger issue of the millions of muslims in France and their demographic growth rate, and the political cost for such a small figure of deportees would be higher then its worth.
