Home Depot jihad?

Ali R. Warrayat sounds crazier than a bedbug -- and "deeply religious." What does this all add up to? Probably just a lone nut doing nutty things. With enough fuel from his religious texts to stoke the fires of his hatred. "Crash into store was a personal statement," from the East Valley Tribune, with thanks to Brenda Walker:

TO OUR READERS: The following story is based on witness accounts and a police report released Wednesday.

He placed both hands on the steering wheel, stared straight ahead and barrelled toward the front entrance of Home Depot.

Ali R. Warrayat hadn’t slept in days, planning this moment down to the last detail. Now, his face was void of any expression. A store employee jumped out of the car’s path. To drown out the man’s yells, Warrayat reached over to his car radio and blasted Arabic music before crashing through the front doors.

The scene was only the beginning of a violent rampage through the Chandler store on Dec. 18. For the 24-year-old Arizona State University student, the motives behind the attack were personal.

He told Chandler police he was angry at Home Depot, where he worked as a paint stocker, about not getting a proper raise. He was mad at the United States for proposing a 700-mile fence along the Mexican border.

He wanted to make America "more free."

So the Jordanian-turned-U.S. citizen devised a plan to make a grand statement by crashing into the store at Alma School Road and Chandler Boulevard and setting it on fire.

At first, he wanted to wear a Palestinian flag, but later decided to place it in the trunk of his car, along with a copy of the Quran and a necklace....

After crashing through the doors at 6 a.m. that Sunday, he expertly navigated the aisles and headed straight for the paint department, slamming his car into the flammable goods.

He jumped to the roof of the car, looked around for a second and then hopped to the ground.

He used a lighter to ignite the blaze, and loud explosions followed as store employees ran for safety.

Many employees recognized Warrayat, who worked in the store six months ago but transferred to a Queen Creek location after having difficulties with a supervisor....

As Warrayat headed for the exit, he swept merchandise from the shelves and then sat on the curb outside waiting for police to come and arrest him.

But his cooperation ended there as he kicked and struggled with officers when asked to get in the patrol car.

When an officer asked if he understood his Miranda rights, Warrayat shot back in a foreign language. The officer asked if he understood English, and Warrayat replied in English, "Do you speak Arabic?"

He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and arson, causing about $1 million in damage. He is being held without bond at Maricopa County’s Lower Buckeye Jail in Phoenix....

Co-worker and friend Joaquin Bustamante said Warrayat was "gentleman-like and respectable with everyone."

"When I saw him on TV, he did not look like the Ali that I know," Bustamante said. "He was a hard worker and worked circles around everybody, and he was a very private person."

Bustamante said Warrayat was deeply religious and had a Quran hanging from his rearview mirror.

In police statements, Warrayat referred to his religion often. He said a swastika was once painted on the mosque where he prays, so he had the mark tattooed in red and black on the bottom of his foot. In his religion, stepping on things is considered disrespectful.

He also described trying to put the dog in his trunk to show it the Quran. He said dogs are "filthy" and that was why the dog didn’t want to be in the trunk with the holy book....

Initial images on his computer depicted men lighting Molotov cocktails and a cartoon of two bloodied and dead children with a Middle Eastern flag in the background....

Well can we expect to see him beating his own head on the Defendant's table at his trial, and screaming allahu akbar as he tries to get an insanity verdict?

Why I am still amazed at the number of incidents that can be viewed in an Islamic context? I read about this a few days ago (without the details) and it did not occur to me that the perpetrator was muslim.

On a related matter, I have noticed that there are an increasing number of somalians being arrested in northern australia for violent crimes or crimes against women and children. For example, mother and daughter found in a burnt out house with a male relative outside. No further details anywhere and yesterday a stepfater appeared in court for sexually abusing three children under his care (10, 14 & 18). One was told she was his slave.

Is there a pattern here that is being ignored or are incidents like the article above just making me read too much into things?

You think so? ;-)

"or are incidents like the article above just making me read too much into things?"

You were right the first time.

It's not that people of other or no faith don't go
whacky on occasion, it's just that islam provides
all the tools to do it in a violent way.

"He was mad at the United States for proposing a 700 mile defence fence along the border of Mexico"
Well, that was the main secret night route ,the jihadies were taking to enter States, after USA clamped severe ristrictions for them to enter after Sept.11.
"He wants more freedom in USA".-For what?
To bring in more of his kind so that they can procalim Islam is fastest growing in USA?
To draw free Welfare money for doing Jihad work?
This person should be immediatly expelled from USA. But will the concerned System dare do It? CAIR will twist the story as "yet another young frustrated ,angry Muslim'!!.

The dog doesn't want his head chopped off.

To keep out the Illegals storming the fences with ladders...

He stated well thats over there...

But I guess driving through Home Depot Stores is not disrespectful as long as it is done under the banner of jihad.

Jingoist,

Fences to keep Muslims out are becoming popular...Israel, Spain, India, and soon the US.

Check out this news item about India's new 2500 mile fence along the Bangladesh border.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2089-1869575,00.html

Think the Muslims might take a clue from these fence builders? No, neither do I.

Jingoist

Problems resulting from immigration are TABOO. Only racists worry about the effects of immigration.

Illegal immigration has introduced leprosy and penicillin resistant tuberculosis (virtually incurable) to the United States FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ITS HISTORY. Contrast, legal immigrants get screened for contagious diseases and sent packing. Yes, they did that at wonderful Ellis Island at the turn of the century. Anyone with the dangerous contagious diseases of the day DID NOT ENTER. If no other reason than epidemic control, having 11 million unscreened immigrants enter your country is INSANE.

In 2004 Los Angeles County LOST 4 emergency rooms. What is happening here is that hospitals WHO HAVE EMERGENCY ROOMS must accept literally thousands of seriously ill, illegal immigrants without insurance and pay for their treatment. The hospital must admit them if they are seriously sick and the hospital cannot discharge them unless there is somewhere to send them. Contrast Mexico where emergency rooms are NOT required to accept....emergencies UNLESS the patient demonstrates ability to pay, something to watch out for if traveling in Mexico. By the way, I will not vacation in any part of Mexico.

Back in the U.S. one Arizona hospital was stuck witha $1,000,000 bill for treating a seriously ill illegal alien for six months in-patient care. Of course, the liberals screamed about releasing the illegal back to Mexico where he had never gotten a smidgen of medical care in his life.

What happens? New hospitals DO NOT INCLUDE emergency rooms. No emergency rooms, no illegal alien onslaught. Nice, huh? EXCEPT what if you are a legal citizen and you have an emergency there may not be an emergency room close enough to where you got hurt to help you in time. Your ambulance driver may be driving PAST hospitals without emergency rooms.

This is what the liberals have down to California, to the Southwest and soon to the whole country. There are huge nieghborhoods in Los Angeles where English is never heard. One police chief of Los Angeles called the international Mexican-American, illegal-alien, drug-running, quasi-military gangs "a national security issue." He cannot get the help he wants because no one can claim that illegal aliens bring crime, the party line is that they are "hard-working people." Yup, working hard at pushing drugs and extortion and armed robbery.

One third of all prisoners in the federal prison system are illegal aliens who are there for non-immigration related crimes.

I need my meds now. God Save America.

Re: "He said dogs are 'filthy' and that was why the dog didn’t want to be in the trunk with the holy book...."

The real reason the dog didn't want to be in the trunk is because it is a smart dog who understands what kind of book he was going to be alone with in the trunk.

Sometimes animals are smarter than humans. In this case, the dog was smarter than his Muslim master.

Oh, this man is a cultural jihadi as well. Too bad that he didn't have the music of the newly converted Muslim Michael Jackson blaring in his car stereo. This would surely get the Home Depot customers running out of the store.

LOL!!! Jonathan, good one!

I spoke with a young guy today at lunch who told me he had been in Iraq for 6 months. He said once in a while it was really scary, most of the time it was really boring, but the thing he couldn't get used to was THAT HORRIBLE ARABIC MUSIC PIPED OVER THE LOUD SPEAKER SEVERAL TIMES A DAY! It woke him up before he had to wake up everyday. He said he always knew when it was time to eat because the music would come on.

Catherine!

Welcome back! Haven't seen your posts for several days now and I missed them.

At least in Arizona you can defend yourself against the onslaught of illegals.

Here in 'Kalifornia' they'd like us all to learn to speak mex so as not to offend the freeloaders.

Personally, I'm sharpening my bayonets and ordering up more ammo for the Garand. We can deal with the illegals but it gonna take some spine on the government's part - not just talk.

We need a fence like the Israelis built to keep out the mad bombers just so the state can stay solvent with the flood of illegals.

San Francisco, NRA Make Deal on Handgun Ban
The city of San Francisco and the National Rifle Association reached a deal Wednesday under which city officials will delay enforcement of part of a voter-approved handgun ban.
Voters on Nov. 8 approved banning the sale and possession of handguns in the city. Residents must get rid of their weapons by April 1. But the NRA and city agreed to extend from Jan. 1 to March 1 the deadline for banning sales.
In exchange, the NRA agreed to drop its bid for a temporary restraining order and will instead have the issue litigated in court, which should resolve it more quickly.

Playing the Judas Game
Philip V. Brennan
Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005
If you spot a mushroom cloud looming over a nearby city, thank the media – some of them have now done everything possible to make it happen.
If this were fiction, most people would shrug it off as improbable. How could members of the press openly betray their nation in such a horrendously important matter by blatantly undermining the government's responsibility to protect Americans against a nuclear attack launched within our borders?
Well, it's not fiction. It's the bitter truth and it lays bare for all to see the real nature of much of today's mainstream media. And it's not a pretty sight.
I'm beginning to suspect that if many of those among the mainstream press began publishing pictures of their editors in chief, it would be an image of either Benedict Arnold, or even more likely, Judas Iscariot.
In recent days we have seen two of the most egregious exercises in media betrayal of the United States of America emerge from the fetid swamps where liberal journalists lurk – in the first instance, from the pages of al-Qaida's chief propaganda organ in the United States – the New York Times – and in the second, from the publication Laura Ingraham derisively calls "MacPaper" – USA Today.
In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, while searchers in the ruins of the twin towers of the World Trade Center were still seeking to find the bodies of some of the 3,000 victims, the Bush administration undertook to monitor communications between al-Qaida operatives abroad and suspected al-Qaida sympathizers in the U.S.
This was a supersecret program, exposure of which would for all intents and purposes be rendered useless if brought to light. The New York Times, in obvious pursuit of the twin goals of discrediting President Bush as a means of giving the Democrats control of the Congress, and of causing the United States to lose the war in Iraq by a premature withdrawal of our troops, blabbed the story on its front page.
This set off a media and political firestorm over the utterly phony issue of privacy – the liberals' favorite battle flag when promoting such things as the right of mothers to murder their unborn babies and the right of some Americans to betray their country unimpeded by government vigilance.
And it all but gutted a vital weapon in America's national security arsenal. But that's perfectly justifiable, the Times and its army of liberal apologists tell us – it's all a matter of freedom of the press and the public's sacred right to know, which translates into the media's right to publish every damn thing they please no matter how damaging it might be to the security of the American people. That, after all, is allegedly how you sell newspapers or attract viewers to your network news broadcasts.
The Bush administration stands accused by the Times and the rest of the Marxist media and their Democrat champions on Capitol Hill of "eavesdropping" on American citizens – they never bother to mention that these "American citizens" are suspected enemy agents and some even non-citizens to boot – and of failing to obtain permission to monitor overseas-to-U.S. communications from a special court.
They scoff at administration claims that the threat to the U.S. was so deadly serious and imminent and the ritual of seeking and obtaining court approval both cumbersome and the outcome often uncertain, that they were forced to act as they did.
The crtitics ignore the very obvious facts that the U.S. is at war with an enemy that slaughtered 3,000 people on 9/11 and that wartime requires swift and decisive measures, and the astounding success of preventing any further 9/11s since 2001 – one sign that the program worked.

READ THE WHOLE THING!!

The Times' betrayal of the national security and the damage it did to our safety was bad enough, but the action of MacPaper was not only sheer and unadulterated treason, it also imperiled every single American by exposing them to the real potential of a homegrown potential nuclear attack – a potential that still exists today.
On December 22, 2005, USA Today had a Christmas present for al-Qaida: the exposure of one of the most vitally important anti-nuclear terror operations being conducted in the U.S. – the monitoring "of radiation levels at over 100 Muslim sites in the Washington, D.C., area, including mosques, homes, businesses and warehouses, plus similar sites in at least five other cities."
And it was all done ... gasp ... without telling the subjects they were being watched by not having warrants issued that would have alerted them.

[Interesting Fact: Rigoberto Alpizar, the mentally disturbed man aboard a plane allegedly claiming to have a bomb, who was killed by an air marshall a few weeks ago, was also an employee in Home Depot's paint department.]

Why wasn't the Ali Warrayat story more visible in the news??? A search for "Warrayat" at Drudge's site yielded 0 results. Anytime a Muslim with a Koran hanging from his rearview, plus another alongside a Palestinian flag in the trunk, ADMITTEDLY tries to blow a place up, I think it is a newsworthy item. And I think the religion of the perp IS an important element of the news story.

I cannot believe I am just now reading about the flammable antics of this Ali Warrayat. Where was the coverage? Where was Drudge?

To everyone who is concerned about the illegal alien invasion.

Go to http://www.fairus.org. They have all the latest updates on legislation, action faxes, etc.

We will have to fight to keep our borders secure.
The latest bill that was passed by the House will be going to the Senate in January or February. Of course, they will try and water it down, so we need lots of phone calls and letters to your Senators, to enhance their backbones.
Given that I am in California as well with Boxer and Feinstein, figure it will be a very uphill battle.

Do we need to build a wall to discourage illegal immigration and terrorist infiltration? India has a similar problem with Bangladesh and they are building one. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0%2C%2C25689-1961065%2C00.html

"The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Joe Arpaio are well known for a lot of things - Tent City, pink underwear, green bologna, and chain gangs are just a few.

I can just see him strutting around the Maricopa County Jail in his pink underwear, that is if CAIR doesn't start claiming that is an insult to the cult of islam. I hope he enjoys his time with Sheriff Joe.

Actually, in the original story, the following lines were also included, but left out here. The dog, unfortunately didn't make it. There was also a cat involved.

At first, he wanted to wear a Palestinian flag, but later decided to place it in the trunk of his car, along with a copy of the Quran and a necklace.

He then grabbed his cat and his uncle’s pit bull and brought them along for the ride with the intent of killing them in the fire.

Many employees recognized Warrayat, who worked in the store six months ago but transferred to a Queen Creek location after having difficulties with a supervisor.

Inside the car, the dog, named Tyson, crouched against the floorboards trying to escape the flames, eventually dying from the toxic smoke.

The cat was never found.
