Knesset Members Rally Arabs for Syria; US, Israel are īSpiders'

Israeli "oppression" alert: Knesset members freely and openly agitate for Israel's mortal enemies, without any reprisal or retribution at all. An update to this story from Israel National News, with thanks to Sr. Soph:

Arab MKs continued to arouse anti-Israeli support in Nazareth. Legislator Barakeh said a strong Syria will help divide Jerusalem. The crowd sang the Syrian national anthem. Israeli Knesset Members Mohammed Barakeh and Azmi Bishara, along with Moslem clerics, denounced the United States and Israel at a pro-Syrian rally in the Galilee city on Thursday.

Barakeh told the crowd of 500 Arabs and Druze, "A strong and resistant Syria will bring closer the day in which Jerusalem will become Palestine's capital."

The rally was the second time in two weeks that Arab MKs gathered in Nazareth. Bishara rallied crowds against Israel and called for a return to the 1947 Armistice Lines.

"I will never recognize Zionism even if all Arabs do," Bishara declared. He had spoken the day after returning from an illegal visit to Lebanon, where visitors without Interior Ministry permits are considered as having entered an enemy country... We are the original residents of Palestine, not those who came from Poland and Russia."

Barakeh addressed the Arab and Druze crowd, comparing the United States and Israel to a large and small spider, and accused the two nations of trying to create a crisis between Syria and Lebanon. "We can clearly see the cobwebs" of the spiders, he told the audience as it cheered and waved Palestinian Authority (PA) flags and pictures of Syrian president Hafez Assad.

Moslem cleric Sheikh Ra'ad Salah stated, "We are facing an American-British-Israeli monster that threatens to swallow us all."

Yes, I'm sure the 1947 Armistice Lines look quite attractive when, after trying furiously to change them, you repeatedly get the shit kicked out of you. What a laugh!

They obviously do not know their Scottish history and the inspiration Robert the Bruce got from a spider.

Funny that Saddam Hussein, a good Muslim, was found hiding in a spider hole, isn't it? and they call us spiders, lol!

Posted by: Bohemond_1069 [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 30, 2005 2:51 PM

I happen to be quite fond of spiders.

Indeed, spiders are cool.

Isn't there a notion of "treason" in Israel? OK,
given my handle, I should be one to talk, since
lawyers seem to have conditioned that word out of
us here. Isn't what this guy is saying "beyond the
pale"?

Oh well, here's to you, little Portia spider, from
the big tarantula!

Sorry Boehmond. Saddam was not a good muslim, he was an apostate, and a subject of a fatwa by Osama.

What's with you anyway..anyone with the slightest bit of knowledge knows that, Hugh knows it as well.

Maybe you belive that if you say something over and over again, it will eventually be believed to be true.

hey Nariz, A good muslim is one that kills non muslims and bad muslims.. l dont see a difference with saddam or a good muslim, they both kill same people. l dont have to repeat it, as the results are the same.

Bishara is a dhimmi islamo-christian. Any native infidel groupt that takes acting the dhimmi too far will be destroyed that much faster, which is the case with christians in the holy land.

SPIDERS???

I guess they're diversifiying beyond the animal descriptions. I miss the days when they called us "pigs" and "monkeys". They need to settle up on one of those or the spider reference.

Now, if they decide to stick with "spiders" can we call them "sand mites"?

Lulu, Saddam was the poster child for many muslims because he thumbed his nose at the UN sanctions for so many years and was such a pain in the ass to Western democracies. Bin Laden issued a fatwa on the plight of Iraq on February 23, 1998, but it was against US involvment in that country and Saudi Arabia, not against Saddam. Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein had an operational relationship from the early 1990s to 2003 that involved training in explosives and weapons of mass destruction, logistical support for terrorist attacks, al Qaeda training camps and safe haven in Iraq, and Iraqi financial support for al Qaeda--perhaps even for Mohamed Atta--according to a top secret U.S. government memorandum obtained by THE WEEKLY STANDARD. There are 66 pages on the Iraq- al queda link in the government report on 911. I suggest you get your facts straight. You might try here for starters:

Lulu, you said "Maybe you belive that if you say something over and over again, it will eventually be believed to be true." I don't, but is that why you posted the same reply twice??? Your Freudian slip is showing my dear.

bishara was formally charged in the past but the Israeli Supreme Court pretended that he didn't say what he really said. Bear in mind that Bad News bishara is a toady for the Syrian regime of the Alawite Assads. The Assads and their clique are now attacking Israel more than usual to deflect international pressure on account of their murders of Lebanese personalities, such as Hariri and Tweini. They also want to deflect Arab attention away from the Lebanese scandal and win Arab support by attacking Israel, through their toady Bad News bishara, inter alia.
I'm fed up with these courts with their fake concern for civil rights.

btw, Raad Salah was in jail for a while, where he belongs. It seems that Sharon let him out.

Israel is not prepared to charge Bishari with treason because that would mean it would need to take every muslim off the street since many Muslims in Israel say the same thing he does, and Israel is not ready toincrease it's prisons by hundreds of thousands of citizens. It would be more embarrassing for the second smallest Western Democracy to have the highest number of criminals.

However the part of the article that claimed the Druze were at the treason rally was a filthy lie. The Druze are loyal citizens of Israel and proud to be Israeli, we are one of only two non jewish groups who are conscripted into the army after 18, and Israel's loyalist citizens are the Druze. Israel's best officers in the field in all of the military services are Druze. Druze Knesset Members usually vote with the Prime Minister to, and always vote against self hating resoloutions written by Arabs.

Bohemond:

It's Nariz you have the quarrel with. Lulu was only quoting him; she agrees with you. Go back and read the posts more carefully.

Posted by: CGW [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 1, 2006 9:35 AM

Lulu, you're correct. My bad. I confused your reply because when you quoted Nariz you didn't put it in quotation marks. Nariz still hasn't responded about the inaccuracy of the claim regarding the fatwa and probaly won't.
