KABUL (Reuters) - Fugitive Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar on Monday vowed more attacks against U.S. forces in Afghanistan, a day after Afghan President Hamid Karzai suggested he "get in touch" if he wanted peace.In a message to mark the three-day Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, which starts in Afghanistan on Tuesday, Omar reiterated his call for jihad, or holy war, against the United States.
"The Taliban attacks in Afghanistan will further intensify in this New Year, which will force Americans to leave Afghanistan very soon," he said in a message carried by the Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) news agency.

This is why I agree with Hugh Fitzpatrick on the Iraq project.
How do you achieve military victory against Jihad? What stronghold or system can you secure that will stop their incessant tide? There is no state of affairs our soldiers, marines, and airmen can attain that will guarantee democratic pluralism prevailing over Islamic totalitarianism or, put another way, civilization over savagery.

They'll never stop. Kick their asses fair and square on the battlefield and they just recede into mosques to pray 5 times a day, and to stoke up on the hatred that only Islamic scripture can inspire, growing their beards, preparing to re-emerge from the darkeness to heroically fight against freedom another day.
There is always another day, always another way, for hate and subjugation. There is always another day and another way for the Islam.

just before the U.S. military attacked Afganistan, all you heard from the leftist media, and their talking heads the Democrats, EU,UN, was that Afganistan was going to be a quagmire, and how could the US kick out the Taliban when the mighty Russsians and Brits could not do! well now you still hear howls from the crappy media, and the taliban speak from caves, and all quake on the Western Front! lt drives me nuts with this loser mentality! you kick butt, break bones, bust heads, destroy the taliban, and then when they are totally defeated, you can talk about a peace plan.. but takes time...hell the US is still in S.Korea, Germany and Japan eh!!

So he can read. American forces soon will switch out and he wants to be certain the jihad gets credit for the Americans leaving. This is an important reason for their mandated lack of education (only study the koran). Anyone with any smarts would laugh in his face at this attempted sham.
