New York: Muslim Cleric Picked Up On Weapons Charge

I wrote about Warith Deen Umar, the Muslim cleric who spread pro-9/11 sentiments in the New York prison system, in Onward Muslim Soldiers. Here again he shows how deeply he has imbibed the peaceful teachings of his adopted religion. This story, of course, will get virtually no notice at all. If it had been a Christian cleric, it would be page one news. "Muslim Cleric Picked Up On Weapons Charge," from WCBSTV, with thanks to Seymour Paine:

(CBS) NEW YORK A controversial Muslim cleric banned from the state prison system for allegedly calling the Sept. 11 hijackers martyrs now has been arrested for gun possession. Search warrants were executed at his homes in the Bronx and a suburb of Albany.

On Dec. 30, Imam Wariff Deen Umar, a former Black Panther and member of the Nation of Islam, said a tenant hit him while arguing about another apartment. The tenant says he did not.

"I pushed him away from my face," the tenant said.

Imam Umar admits he then aimed a shotgun at the larger man, who left. The Imam says he called police, who arrested him. At the police station the FBI interrogated him, according to the Imam, about Sept. 11 and terrorist connections. The police executed a search warrant on his Bronx apartment and took computer hard drives and legal papers.

"(They were) using this as a pretext to try to frighten the Muslims, to try to intimidate us, to try to take whatever material they think they can find," Umar said.

If there is nothing to find, Umar, you have nothing to worry about.

Precisely, if there is nothing there then he has nothing to worry about. That is what makes our policing systems different from those in the islamofascist states - fairness and the presumtion of innocence. That is why we are the superior civilisation and why we will win this war.

Imam Umar, we have a saying here in Britain (and probably something similar in other cultures too) - "if you fly with the crows, you'll get shot with the crows."

Part of what is so galling about the left is that they insist that we treat imams with the same respect that we give a priest or a rabbi...what nerve. When I hear imam, the first thing into my mind is terrorist murdering seditious rat bastard. I have zero respect for imams, and I have been to a muslim wedding where the imam honestly looked like a professional terrorist...I didn't get a chance to ask him his political views and have my fears confirmed.
Honestly, its beyond talking. What can I do personally to make my beloved nation safer from these hateful and devious animals?

Long Live America!
Long Live Israel!

Wariff Deen Umar said "(They were) using this as a pretext to try to frighten the Muslims, to try to intimidate us"

It's a cultural misunderstanding. Apparently he was unaware that in non-Muslim countries, praising mass murderers and pointing a loaded shotgun in someone's face is considered unacceptable behavior. It gets confusing, I admit. Many rabbi's, monks, and priests visiting from overseas make the same mistakes.

I am so happy that this incident took place.

PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH PBUH

Now, maybe New Black Panthers Supreme Military Commander Malik Zulu Shabbazz will make one of his rare public appearances. God I love that guy. Did you know that he is a Harvard Law man? And is costumes are great.

If he could only hook up with the Fruits of Islam for personal security that would be great. I thought that the Il Duce outfits those dudes wore during the Millions More March were just awesome. I was laughing so hard there on my couch, a near-empty box of Klennex in my lap, that I startted tearing up a bit. I'll admit that, what the hell.

That's great! Alarmed Pig Farmer, pass the kleenex!

Alarmed Pig Farmer, I must admit that many of your posts have my eyes tearing up in laughter as well (because they are funny, not because you are wearing an ill-fitting Il Duce outfit in a parade). Just wondering, are any of the pigs named "Mohammed"?

In the mid-90s, when the Algerian Civil War was at its bloody apex and the Armed Islamic Group was in full-throttled rape and murder mode, one of the major networks (I believe it was ABC) did a story on the carnage, specifically of the AIG tactic - practiced then with regularity - of shooting (or disembowling) all the residents of entire villages save for the young women, who were taken as "wives" of the AIG leaders.

A suvivor of one of these attacks was telling her story in Arabic as English subtitles were inserted. I heard with my own ears as she used the word "Imam" to desribe the AIG leader who repeatedly raped and brutalized her for weeks until her escape...but the subtitle read "gang leader" instead.

I remember being incensed as hell. The MSM began whitwashing the religious component of jihad long before 9-11.

The acronym was actually the GIA based on French.

When are you blockheads going to get it? The problem is not just the left, though the left is a problem.

Apparently terrorism works, and the media and corporations are terrorized by Islamic oil and money.

Not to mention your boy Georgie B.

You and all other ideologues are your own worst enemy, your ideology blinds you of truth and betrayal

Karen Hughes- Eid Celebration

As President Bush has said: "Through generosity, compassion, and a commitment to faith, Muslim Americans have helped make our country stronger." It is my honor to reach out to the Muslim-American community and to work with you as we work together to confront the threats of terrorism and the ideologies of hate in our world. And so I very much appreciate the opportunity to be here. I want to read to you a message from President Bush: "I send greetings to Muslims around the world as you celebrate Eid al-Adha.

You clowns don't get it, because you don't want to get it.. Georgie Boy has spit it out loud and clear, his war is with Islamofascist Terrorists as opposed to the ROP, and those "nice Saudi Muslims".

He indeed believes that the terrorist Islamofascists are deviant extremists.. but you clowns prefer to delude your self that Islamofascist means all Muslims, not just the "terrorists".

Denial is more than a river in Egypt.

Nariz,
Granted, there is much to criticize of the Republicans, who can't seem to bring themselves to criticize Islam publicly. i don't agree with everything GWB does, and have defended as well as criticised him here. But given the current state of American politics, we must choose between Republicans and Democrats. The list of Democrats who've been critical of Islam is short, perhaps zero. Joe Lieberman was a lone voice in the wilderness and has been roundly criticised by his own party. The rest of the Dem's seem to be happy to follow Micheal Moore's lead in proclaiming "there's no terrorist threat"
Though to be fair, I haven't heard one politician yet say what many of us here would like to hear.

Nariz,
I did not imply that Bush was perfect. Far from it. There is much to criticize - he is too close to our Saudi ENEMIES, he equivocates on the truth about Islam and he gauled me when he told Sharon to pull back on the Paley terrorists while we were kicking ass in afghanistan and Iraq.....However, in the war to save our civilization from Islamic incursion (demographic and otherwise) the right is better than the left. "Free Palestine" has been a rallying cry of the left for years. I say "Free Palestine from Islam". John Howard, a rightist, is a great infidel anti-dhimmi in Australia.
The left wants to give psychotherapy to the moslem sociopaths, and the right prepares for war against them ( yes, I stole this from Rove, but heck, the guy was correct). Also, it is the right in europe that has the wild notion that Europe is a great place worth DEFENDING from the moslem barbarian hordes.
No, I stand by my belief that in this world war ( and make no mistake it is a world war), the right is better than the left...but far from perfect.

All my males hogs are named Mohammed and all my females are named Aisha.

AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE

This game is all about breeding, baby. And my hogs hump like hippies on angeldust. Other farmers come around and wonder how I do it, especially how I get baby female pigs to produce offspring.

Here's my secret: We read the Koran and Hadiths to the pigs 5 times a day over a PA system. Sometimes we prime the pigs' romantic urges by tossing Korans into the slop. The pigs squeal with delight when we do that.

AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE AISHA SOOWEEE

Once my staff was infiltrated by a Moslem. Never felt right about this guy cuz he was always mad. When we discovered what he was, well, I can't say what we did but if there any Deadwood fans in here they can tellya about Wu's disposal service.

Imam Wariff Deen Umar, a former Black Panther and member of the Nation of Islam showed how he is one of "Muslims who accept, you know, love your neighbor like you’d like to be loved yourself".. I know shotgun in the face means I love you as a muslim in the NOI.
The following excerpts of a letter to Jack Kemp shows the roots of PC thought re: NOI and the radical thought that is tolerated in the US. When push comes to shove the NOI and its backers may become the greatest obstical in dealing with islamic, domestic terrorism when it comes.

"JUDAISM IS A GUTTER RELIGION"

To: Jack Kemp
From: Jude Wanniski
Re: What Louis Farrakhan Really Said

Now that it’s absolutely clear George W. will be the GOP nominee, I think you should have a talk with him about Minister Louis Farrakhan, of the Nation of Islam. You know better than almost anyone in politics that Minister Farrakhan has been unjustly vilified and demonized as anti-Semitic and even anti-Catholic, that while he has publicly taken issue with some of the political positions favored by the Jewish political establishment, he has never said a word against Judaism -- or Catholicism. Governor Bush last month said that as President he would include the Nation of Islam in his considerations for federal contracts as a "faith-based organization," he told FoxNewsSunday on January 30: "I believe that the folks -- the Muslims who accept, you know, love your neighbor like you’d like to be loved yourself, and whose hearts are set right to help a neighbor in need." Nobody paid any attention to this until Fox replayed it after John McCain won the Michigan primary on February 22. Remember, Jack, that when Bush spoke at Bob Jones University, McCain not only blasted Christian Coalition leaders Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell as "agents of intolerance," he equated them with "Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton," all four being men of the cloth.

[...portion deleted....]

The exact (Farrakhan) 1984 quote was this: "...America and England and the nations backed Israel's existence. Therefore when you aid and abet someone in a criminal conspiracy, you are a part of that criminal conspiracy. So America and England and the nations are criminals in the sight of almighty God. Now, that nation of Israel, never has had any peace in forty years and she will never have any peace because there can never be any peace structured on injustice, thievery, lying and deceit and using the name of God to shield your dirty religion under His holy and righteous name."
