Teachers at 250 primary schools in Yala are refusing to go to work for one week because of fears for their safety after five colleagues were attacked on Friday (Feb 3).The atmosphere in the area is very tense and the teachers were not prepared to go to work, said Yala Teachers Federation adviser Prasit Meksuwan, who is a member of the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC)....
Many teachers in the three southernmost provinces have sought transfers to other areas since being targeted by militants after the resurgence of violence over the past two years.
In the latest attack targeting a teacher, Wirat Wattanakietkamjorn, 49, director of I-Satia School, was seriously injured yesterday evening after being ambushed by unknown gunmen on his way to his fruit garden in Narathiwat's Joh I Rong district. Wirat, who was shot in the back, managed to ride away on his motorbike and seek help.

I'm willing to bet it's the mixed-gender education that's under attack (and/or educating girls at all), as has been the case in Afghanistan.
Assuming that's the case, the fact that they're taking issue with primary schools reinforces the notion of young girls as prospective wives in Islam-- as exemplified by Aisha-- in which case one wouldn't want his almost-9-years-old womenfolk cavorting with primary school boys (whom they most surely find to be cootie-infested at that age anyway), and strange men who want to teach them to read-- the depravity!
By sexualizing every aspect of the male-female dynamic from Day 1, the Islamists wind up being more depraved in their "piety" than an entire college town on "party night."

The whole thing is perverted - they can tell you every detail about a woman's virginity. And it is like the entire society is geared around maintaining it till marriage.
So they actually do things that most of us would not do - in order to present the 'I'm still a virgin (medical) certifate on marriage'. It's a joke!
But on top of this - normal relations between boys and girls are not encouraged, as the young people are married within their families. It is very common for sets of first cousins to be married in thee same family. So the brothers and sisters are also second cousins. Clones??
I think though that these teachers are being attacked to spread Islam -
That's what they hope to do here. The violent ones go out and attack the non- Muslim populations, while the moderates sit back and wait for the spoils.

Let's the Mohammedans now have worldwide protests against Thailand. This time, back Thailand up militarily so that they can crush their Muslim rebels, and invade Malayasia if needed.
It's a disgrace that the Danish embassy in Bankok - an infidel capital - had to be attacked. An end to this!
