1938 Alert from AP, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
VIENNA, Austria — Iran has started small-scale enrichment of uranium — a process that can produce fuel for nuclear reactors or bombs, diplomats said Monday."Uranium gas has been fed into three machines," one senior diplomat familiar with Iran's nuclear file told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the matter.

Talk is over.
Time to strategically bomb these scum.
There is no "peaceful Western looking Iranian majority".
Edward Kennedy is a fool; unfortunately a dangerous fool.

I believe the Iranian government wants Israel, or the U.S. to attack it, preferably working openly together. I think they know by blatantly admitting their nuclear intentions along with official statements of Israel's obliteration will almost certainly provoke a military response.
I think they're counting on a U.S. and Israeli strike on known facilities to further unstabilising the whole region.

USAFan-
To what end, other than "[de]stabilising"?
Wouldn't being dead, themselves, reduce that pleasure?
Mahmoud and the mad mullahs may want to rouse the Hideen (12th) Imam, their Mahdi (Messiah) by bring about chaos, but they also want to be in the party welcoming him.
Not mere fat and ash shadows -hey that one looks like Ahmadinejad!- baked on Tehran rubble.
