Muslims Advised Not To Celebrate Valentine's Day

A loveless day in Malaysia. St. Valentine, you see, was an enemy of Islam; Muhammad Ramli Nuh thus demonstrates that he knows (or actually thinks he knows, since his information is completely incorrect) and cares a good deal more about St. Valentine than the overhwhelming majority of those who will actually be giving out roses and chocolate hearts today. From the Malaysian National News Agency Bernama, with thanks to Nicolei:

KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- Muslims in the country, especially lovers, have been advised not to celebrate Valentine's Day tomorrow.

State Islam Hadhari Development Committee Deputy Chairman, Muhammad Ramli Nuh said celebrating the Day could be regarded as recognising the enemies of Islam because Valentine or Valentinus took part in planning and attacking Cordoba, once a well-known centre of Islam in Spain, causing its downfall....

Muhammad Ramli said although not many couples celebrate Valentine's Day in the state, the state government wished to remind that the celebration should not be held including in hotels.

Happy Valentines Day, everyone!

San Valentine lived in Rome around S. III a.C., and Islam come to Iberia around VIII a.C, ¿¿¿¿???¡¡¡ Long time ago, Muslim World was a centre of knowledge, this man is a shame for his own culture. Perhaps he needs come back to the school again.

Funny how all these people seem so similar to muslim stereotypes.

To clarify, that declaration only applies to Muslims. The Chinese and Indian minority are not prevented from celebrating Valentine's day to their hearts content.

Secondly, let's not mock the actions of some muslims country regarding this Christian celebration. For several years now, Hindus have been boycotting Valentine's day. See http://tinyurl.com/cz6b8

MUSLIM FURY AT SEX TOY

By GUY PATRICK

"FURIOUS Muslims have blasted adult shop Ann Summers for selling a blow-up male doll called MUSTAFA SHAG.
They complained that the novelty sex toy insults the Prophet Muhammad — who also has the title al-Mustafa.

The High Street chain’s jokey £15 mustachioed doll has a 7in manhood and is targeted at hen parties.

But the Muslim Association — based at Manchester’s Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre — branded him “obnoxious”.

Yesterday a spokesman said: “This is the name of our Prophet and it’s very upsetting. This thing should be banned.”

In a letter to the store, the Association said: “You have no idea how much hurt, anguish and disgust this obnoxious phrase has caused to Muslims. We are asking you to have our Most Revered Prophet’s name ‘Mustafa’ and the afflicted word ‘shag’ removed.”

Last night Ann Summers said: “If anyone has a better name, please let us know. We’ll happily change it.”

The row follows global furore over cartoons which depicted Muhammad as a terrorist. "

Despite the scary rise in Islamic Fascism in the UK, I am glad to see that the British haven't lost their love of naughty, saucy Humour.

Way to go Brits !

Another group doing the same:

I wonder where islamispeace is hanging out. He claimed these women were Christian agitators. I'd like him to come here today and admit his false testimony.

Purinuch, Mark Steyn on blow-up doll rage.

Muslim reaction is overblown.

Mustafa Shag:

Obnoxious--just like the real thing!

Posted by: Abscedere [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 9:13 AM

These angry Muslims must have filthy minds. Don't they know that Mustafa is a carpet trader who is looking for the perfect shag pile to display in his shop.

Also in Mustafa's shop is a tiger skin on which to sin with Elinor Glyn, in the absence of another fur on which to err.

I don't know what he's taking, but I sincerely hope that it never gets dumped in my water.

Oh- and happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Is anybody getting tired of these whining muslims and their hurt feelings ?, I know I am.
Who but those on the arab payroll gives a rats ass about their feelings which are centered around hatred.
What makes them think that anyone in the west cares what they feel?
These undeveloped primates have it implanted in their tiny brain that tollerance is weakness and with a lot of coaxing from their religious liars, are mistakenly trying to exploit it for what it's worth.
Maybe they really do beleive that the west is terrified by muslim threats to kill all non beleivers and will therefore cower down as they walk in and take over.
GUESS WHO'S IN FOR A RUDE SHOCK!!
80% of arabs are illiterate...the rest were educated in the west.

hmmm. I wonder if the Malaysian government courts will sentence those who celebrate Valentine's Day to have their loving bits chopped off?

Posted by: CelticCoyote [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 9:43 AM

Of course, this guy can't admit to what's really "un-Islamic" about Valentine's Day (file under: "Elephant in the Room"). The achievements of the saint whose feast day it is has largely fallen by the wayside, just like that guy who is mentioned alongside Xmas from time to time. ;)

What Valentine's Day more prominently stands for in the West is:

1.) Free association between the sexes. (Nooooooooooooo!)

2.) Loving relationships, as opposed to the "your women are a tilth" variety.

So, a happy Disgruntled Singles, I mean, Valentine's Day, to all. :)

Posted by: Shinoliite [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 9:50 AM

Wait till they hear about the blow up Fatima doll with soft orifices and a stylish hijab....should be a big seller in Israel and USA.
Manufactured in Denmark I beleive, pity the muslims have banned Danish imports....oh well, at least the sheep wont be jealous.

Posted by: Buddy [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 9:51 AM

I never cared for St. Valentione's Day, but all of a sudden I'm starting to warm up to it.

Happy St. Valentine's Day, y'all!

Posted by: Proud Infidel [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 10:13 AM

To be precise, Valentine was bishop of Interamna (modern Terni), a town in central Italy, up the Tiber from Rome. He was martyred in the great Decian persecution, and I am not clear why he would up being the patron of engaged people. Cordoba fell to the Christians in, I believe, 1221 or something like that. State Islam Hadhari Development Committee Deputy Chairman, Muhammad Ramli Nuh, seems to have discovered the first bishop to survive his own execution by one thousand years.... oh, those villainous Catholics and their evil ways!

Posted by: Paolo [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 10:22 AM

What an ugly, joyless miserable religion. Even Jehovah's Witnesses are party animals compared to these stone age rejects.

Posted by: Dumbo [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 10:39 AM

Winnie the Pooh and Santa Claus weren't off limits for Muslim denouncment, so why should anyone be surprised that St. Valentine is now under attack.

Don't allow your women to reveal their beauty in public either. Oh, and no alchohol or dancing!

Basically, are you having fun? STOP THAT! Right this instant, infidels!

Repression goes a very long way towards fueling a never-ending tide of anger in young men. The Mullahs have mastered the art of manipulation of their own people through controlling what they think, feel and see.

And thus, the Cartoon Riots.

I wonder what's in store for us all next? Perhaps Wiley Coyotoe will be deemed an afront to Osama Bin Laden. I mean, he does live in the desert and is always trying to bomb things....

Wrong century, Muhammad.

It's like debating children.

Posted by: Beagle [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 11:00 AM

same old same old.
After the shah fell in Iran, it took a while for roving bands of self appointed cultural police to convince women that they shouldnt dress in "immodest" western garb. They would see a woman that was not dressed to their liking and they would jump out of a car, and beat the crap out of them.

For the current Valentines day protest see Kashmir:
The group kicked off its campaign Friday against "Lover's Day" in Srinagar, the state's summer capital, by raiding half a dozen shops, confiscating Valentine's Day cards and making a bonfire out of them.

Yep, I am sure that they asked nicely for the cards. It was probably hand them over or suffer.

This is just another case of the Muslim asserting their culture or beliefs on others that may or may not be Muslim. Based on the proliferation of court cases, and cartoon protest, and pretty much any daily event lately; Expect Muslims to extert their will over an ever increasing number of things in Non-Muslim countries. If not they will make you suffer physically and/or economically.

"celebrating the Day could be regarded as recognising the enemies of Islam because Valentine or Valentinus took part in planning and attacking Cordoba, once a well-known centre of Islam in Spain, causing its downfall..."
-- from the article above

On the other hand, Rudolph Valentino did wonders for the Muslim Arab image when he played the demon-lover in "The Sheik." And Rudolph remains a lot more famous than that other Valentinus.

On the other, or third, hand, if we start thinking about "Rudolph Valentino" we might then think of "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and that might make us think of Christmas.

And we can't have that.

Can we?

Who cares if they celebrate VD or not? They have no love for anyone other than their Prophet of Doom, surely they don't believe in St. Valentine (http://valentines-day.123holiday.net/).

Also, they like to brag about Americans getting older and dying out and they believe they will take over they world because they are having so many babies. If they keep killing each other like they are in Iraq, we won't have to worry about it anyway! Their long-term lifespan doesn't seem too good does it?

Who cares if they celebrate VD or not?

Hehheh. "VD":... that's another story altogether. ;) Of course, since they tend to reproduce like rabbits, jihadism could be considered a venereal disease.

Posted by: Shinoliite [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 12:40 PM

...like rabbits...

Hehheh. Back to Ann Summers again. Apparently they've got a shop in Mecca.

Some Muslim clerics believe that Islamic married couples are allowed to share an interest in erotic underwear. Ayub Laher, the general secretary of the Bradford Council of Mosques, said that the shops would provide an outlet to explore fantasies: "Islam encourages a man and wife to please each other within the confines of their own homes. Underwear is allowed, massage oils can be part of innocent fun and as long as leather is not made out of pigskin, that is fine too."

There is a case to be made against Valentine's Day, but it is not that made by the Muhammad above. It is, rather, based on three little words.

Those three little words, that are dinnned into our ears day and night, on radio and television, by florists and floggers of chocolates, seeking our custom.

You know those three little words. The three little words that mean Valentine's Day, that spell Valentine's Day, that are woven into its very warf and its very woof. Those three little words without which it is impossible to imagine those florists and those chocolate-floggers, not to mention those sellers of prefabricated passion, Mr. Hallmark and Miss American Greeting, being able to make the killing they do make, every Valentine's Day, throughout much of the Western world.

Yes, you know exactly those three little words that mean so very much:

That Special Someone.

Posted by: Hugh [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 1:11 PM

AMEN, Hugh!

For how many people does Valentine's Day become a duty and a drudgery, wondering if the gift for "That Special Someone" will be acceptable? How many people will spend the dough to shore up shallow relationships with empty tokens of affection?

It's basically buying someone off under the guise of "love," while lining the pockets of large corporations like those you mentioned.

"A Diamond: She'll Pretty Much Have To." - The Family Guy

It's a dismal day in a dismal month. I sound my "bah, humbug" over the roofs of the world!

Posted by: Shinoliite [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 1:27 PM

Dear God,
I believe in You, and I believe everything You say in the Bible is true. I believe the earth's last days are close, and that the only way anyone can be saved is to trust in Your Son, Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I believe He rose again to new life and ascended into heaven. I believe He gives eternal life to all His people, that He will come back for them on day, and I want to be among them. I believe that by placing my faith in Christ alone I will NEVER be left behind. Amen.

Those who don't know Christ as their Savior only have to say this prayer to be saved.

Islam IS NOT THE ANSWER!

The way the Sheetheads treat their women does it really surprise anyone that they have another rant about something...different day different rant. Next they'll be demanding that the Burger King dude is a slam about their child molesting prophet.

Posted by: Siciliano [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 1:47 PM

Well if they could celebrate this day, how many of them could read their valentine cards or those small messages of love on the heart candies, less than half?

Afghanistan
Religion: Sunni Muslim 80%, Shi'a Muslim 19%, other 1%
Literacy: definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 36%
male: 51%
female: 21% (1999 est.)

Pakistan
Religion: Muslim 97% (Sunni 77%, Shi'a 20%), Christian, Hindu, and other 3%
Literacy: definition: age 15 and over can read and write
total population: 48.7%
male: 61.7%
female: 35.2% (2004 est.)

I believe that as the literacy rate rises, the total number of Moslems falls. In other words, they are only Moslems because they are illiterate.

Hi, people!

Actually, Valentinus was a Roman martyr, who died for refusing to renounce his Christian faith approx. 270 CE. Please refer to http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=159

Cordoba was taken by the Catholic Kings in the 1480s... I think. So the good Malay moslem did not do his homework. It took google 0,15 sec.

Happy Valentine's day, everyone! Be nice to your life partners, tell them something nice.

Posted by: Wallie [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 3:38 PM

Sorry! I just went back to Google to find out that Cordoba fell to Castille in 1236. Approx. one thousand years after Valentinus.

"... as long as leather is not made out of pigskin, that is fine too."

Interested, the mental image whch that quote conjurs is just frightening. Thanks for sharing. Ugh!

And Hugh and shinoliite, Scrooge didn't have a twin brother, you'll have to duke it out to decide who gets to be the real Ebenezer. I'm going off to grab one of my cats, some chocolate and a good CD to finish off the day. G&S, anyone?

Posted by: libbysmom [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 6:30 PM

Valentinus may have been a Roman martyr, but he was born in Umbria, in Terni, quondam Nahartium, a toponym meaning "between-the-two-rivers" -- that is to say, Mesopotamia. His rivers were minor affairs. Nothing like the Tigris. Nothing
like the Euphrates.

He can't be blamed for That Special Someone, those gooey sentiments, those assorted chocolates you gooily open and close one after the other, until you find the one you were looking for, the one with the nut.

Posted by: Hugh [TypeKey Profile Page] at February 14, 2006 8:38 PM

Could you imagine receiving a Valentine from a Moslem scowling at you from across the office? Brrrr.

It's better this way, with this Moslem Valentine's Day embargo and all. It works.
