Dubai will not drop its bid to buy port company

No, it isn't that Michael Moore. Notice also the heading at the top of the page: "Business Telegraph, in association with Emirates." Emirati corporations are popping up in the most interesting places, aren't they? "Dubai 'will not drop' £3.9bn bid for P&O," from the Telegraph (in association with Emirates), with thanks to Sr. Soph:

Dubai Ports World last night insisted that it would press on with its £3.9bn purchase of P&O despite three new court cases seeking to derail the deal following a political storm in America.

Michael Moore, DP World's senior vice president, told the Sunday Telegraph: "We are fully committed to closing this deal. There is absolutely no thinking along any other lines. The court cases don't throw anything into doubt."...

DP World has sought to defuse the outcry by promising to segregate the operation of the US ports in a trust until an agreement can be reached. Last night, de Verneuil Smith said that was "an absurd concept".

Game over, we are owned.

I actually hypothesized months ago, and elsewheres, that the official state religion of the new world order in progress will be Islam.

I got a lot of grief (from Muslims, Dhimmi's and neo Nazi's) for making that prediction... and I'm sure that I will get a lot here, considering that ideology overrides reason.

But it makes sense, when one considers, seriously, the evidence that the elite (including the Republican and Democratic elite, the wealthy aka Bush's Base) have no loyalties (as do we minions and serfs) other than to themselves, their own hereditary legacy and to each other.

Reason for prediction is as follows:

In a "shrinking" world, which has become for profit interdependent, and such obscene facts such as the United States is no longer autarchic (and can't even produce the microchips it needs, much less manufacture a complete Boeing 737 from scratch, nor does it produce it's own auto's, paint, or even the steel it consumers), a unifying, all encompassing ideology is needed to bind the peoples together, and to cut down on the cost of policing a planet, (and the populations of "Countries, regions" etc.

The ideology of Marx was tried and proven a failure, it is not only economically bankrupt and ineffecient, but it was Islam without a god.

Communism covered the social, economic, political aspects of life (and under Stalin even the cultural aspects..it was prior to WWII "traditional patriarchial"..abortion was outlawed, women confined to hearth and home, homosexuality criminalized and it has it's own culture.. what was missing was religion.

Islam is in fact communism with religion. Land is owned by the Ummah and controlled by the ulama, a person and his patronage can occupy land so long as it is kept productive. In Shi'a Islam, the Mullahs made (make?) a living off rents, the Sheykhs under the Ottomans and the Mamulukes made a living .. and attained social prestige, from their control of property (land). Theoretically (and only theoretically) Islam is non racist, in other words it is "theoretically" an eqalitarian, propertyless ideology.

From a ruling class point of view, it is self policing, and in fact police are volunteer religious, and Islam per se obviates the (secular) state.

Best of all, since it is fatalistic, and all is the will of Allah, Muslms don't complain about their fate (at the hands of other muslims), nor do they have the same expectations (speaking in generalites) as regards living standards, consumption and comfort, even food, clothing, shelter and medical care, as does western societies.

All of which are important in a world whose population is increasing geometrically, with a concurrent geometric depletion of natural resources, potable water, clean air, and arable land.

Infinite growth is not possible. A tree will outgrown the ability of it's roots to sustain it's bulk, the ability of the soil to nourish it, and if not pruned it will disease and/or topple.

The tree must be transplanted, pruned or cut down before it topples.

Humans unfortunately live in the here and now, with no thought of tomorrow other than an expectation that tomorrow will be like today, or that somehow "God" will provide or is God/Allah's plan.

Events unfold before us, that tomorrow will not be like today, and that the image of god that people hold in their mind, is not at all the god (or lack thereof) that is allowing events to move forward.

Belief if you wish in a nihilistic apocalpytic end times (so dear to some Christians and to Muslims as well), but it's not coming, not on the way..but one thing appears to be in fulfillment.. the prediction of Ubal Qassim, styled by the caliph's as the praised one... the eventual Arabization of the world, not because it is the will of Allah, but because it is the ideal self policing social control ideology.

The X factor here is the Chinese and Japanese, will they go along? I think not.

Nariz-

You leave out a few other variables:

-pandemics;

-planetary migration/ terraforming Mars;

-new types of weaponry (think of things like nanotechnology, psycho-neurology and eeg-wired devices broadcasting to blue tooth type networks, and that potential Id-melange can give a clue toward what will make the future "interesting", to put it mildly... consider: orgasm transmitters; UHF 'mescaline'; sleep/coma generators; etc., etc...);

-a counter-cult (a new 'religious' movement or 'messiah', perhaps inspired by someone with strong PK abilites) could lead a segment of humanity in a totally different direction (hopefully anti-Islamic, pro-freedom-loving, but who can predict?);

-interstellar communication (our earliest strong radio signals went out about 80 years ago, and they would have reached a few Earth-like solar systems in the 40 light year range, and they could start getting a possible reply back to us at anytime), which could distract us from our local self-destructive little squabbles and into a more universal wave of planetary insight and a species-wide feeling of Awe;

-and

-efforts to spread the knowledge of Islam's shortcomings (like JW/DW) for an expanding, progressive humanity might finally appall and revolt enough people that the retrograde cult of the pedophile would start withering naturally.

Mother Nature has very big sleeves, and a lot of things up there.

I'm hoping her good heart will pull out some of her endlessly creativity to inspire us.
