And maintain their hard line. What a stunning surprise! From the TimesOnline, with thanks to JE:
Russia's diplomatic overtures towards Hamas rhetoric fell at the first hurdle today when the militant group's leader dismissed calls from the Kremlin to soften his stance against Israel.
"The issue of recognition [of Israel] is a decided issue," said Khaled Mashal, the militant organisation's supreme leader, as he arrived in Moscow for the first of three days of talks. "We don’t intend to recognise Israel."

The European dollars helped to pay for the Hamas flight to Moscow.

Despite their role in the "quartet" vis the roadmap to peace, the Russians are only too happy to continue playing geopolitical roulette with the Islamofascists so long as they leave Russian targets alone.

It's time to dust off and re-read that old book by Claire Sterling "Network of Terror" documenting Russia's backing of Islamic terror networks over the years. What's old is new again!

Ahem and just who was it that has supported the Muslim Brotherhood as a counterpoise to Arab Nationalists and Leftists (hint it is spelled US of A and CIA and MI6), and of course let's not forget the support provided to the Bosnians, the Kosovarians both yesterday (under Clinton) and under Bush Sr and Jr.
And just who was it that funneled arms and money to Al Qaida, Bin Laden and the Taliban to run the Ruskis our of Afghanistan? Wasn't that Ronald Reagan?
Hmmm, Iran Contra, sales of poison gas and arms to Saddam by the US (with Rummy delivering and guaranteeing the goods).
And you speak of Russia, supporting Islamists?
Was that before or after Afghanistan, or before or after Chechnya? And hasn't our President chided Putin for his treatment of the "poor freedom loving Chechnyans"? Those wonderful freedom loving people who gave the world the slaughter of Beslan.

The U.S. has been in a fight to the death with anti-Western "radical" Islamics for 30 years and didn't know it. Unfortunately, my man, George W., still doesn't truly realize it.
This is a fight to the death for all of Western Civilization. There can be no peace, no treaty, no stalemate. Only death to the enemy. The victor will know when they have won when the enemy is dead worldwide or are in complete subjugation. Who to fight and who to kill may be a question, but strategy and tactics, targets and methods are going to have to be developed.
It may last 200 years. Western Civiliztion must unite, come to it's senses, organize, and present a united front.
"I don't want to be at war!" you may complain. And rightfully so. But complaining changes nothing. Attempts at appeasement will only bring contempt and will change nothing.
Sound radical? Sound crazy? I am neither. I am afraid.
