perhaps in some extreme situation (post-nuclear, for example), the anti-jihadi forces will insist that a given country (such as iran) can be populated only by folks who will not follow islam in any way. I am imagining a forced return to Zoroastrianism or a forced conversion to Christianity, with Islam treated as Nazi philosophy in Germany was treated after WW II.

my mind tells me that this is a childish fantasy. we humans are limited beings, reliant on prayer.

but if the fulfillment of a childish fantasy is the only way to avoid jihad in future, isn't the letter writer correct? like crime and other evils, islam will always be with us.

There is hope. The Enlightenment in America happened after years of blood-shed and was a struggle against the Church enforced dogmas. Granted Christianity hasn't a shred of inhumanity, cruelty or authoritarianism in it (atleast not in the NT) but it was still a struggle against religious authority.

It took Europe 14 centuries to go from Theocratic Authoritarianism to Liberal Democracies, lets hope Islam is next..

We can also hope all adopt the Bahai faith, Islam without the violence and with the compassion of Christianity...

But for the rest of us – jihad has an up hill battle.

Islamic people will need to moderate the teaching of the Prophet, to turn jihad into a personal struggle – within. If not, they will be dealt with severely.

Because Islam encourages mindlessness – the world will see no benefit in adopting the Islamic God or the specific Arab way of life.

I know this is never going to happen, but let's say hypothetically, everyone in the world became Sunni Muslim. No infidels. No Shia. No Ahmadiya. No Bahai. No nothing-else.

What would these clowns do then? Would it then be Arabs vs the rest? In the current conflict, they are positioning 1 billion Muslims against maybe 3-4 billion Infidels. What would they do if it was just 200 million Arabs vs few billion Muslims?

Back to the original mailer, when he says "last day of earth", does he mean when the earth ceases to exist, or when humans cease to exist? If it's the former, it's irrelevant - assuming that the sun expands to the point that the earth will be as close to the sun as Venus is now, everybody will vaporize together. If he means humans ceasing to exist, does he actually think his side is going to win?

Right now, it may look that way given Dhimmi leaders worldwide. But as these thugs get more beligerent, infidels are going to be so pissed at the Dhimmi leadership that they are going to flush them out, peacefully if possible, violently if necessary. And once that's over, the resultant war against Islam is going to reduce it as fast as it expanded in the 8th century.

And when that happens, it'll be the will of Allah.

This to me seems inevitable. It's either this scenario or Islam wins, I don't see any compromise in the long term. The islamic world is at an idealogical dead-end and they know it.

Thats just absurd. The NT is full of as much nonsense and irrational endorsments of violence as any other religious dogma. you'd be much more respected from a neutral point of view.

I'm sure that Napoleon, Hitler, all the dictators of history, & even old Saddam Hussein thought they were invincible (and nobody in the crazed world of Islamic jihadists even comes remotely close to these notorious figureheads in our history books). However, GOD does have a Law of Divine Retribution that a-l-w-a-y-s catches up with us someday ... a more modern spin on it would be: whatever goes around always comes back around! It may seem like the evildoers get away with their crimes indefinitely for a while, but the evil does ultimately come back home to roost (usually at a time when we least expect it and always in a penalty several times worse than the original transgression). So, if we want to behave like monsters, we had better find our activities to be well worth the penalty we have to pay for engaging in them.

The jihadists merit only contempt -- not respect, for they all fight like cowards. If they really think they are fighting a "holy war" sanctioned by Allah, then why not remove the ski masks from their faces, put on a uniform that clearly identifies them as being in Allah's army, and go out to meet the armed forces proudly (being prepared to die like real men of God)? Strapping on a bomb and blowing up a bus with unsuspecting civilians is not an act of bravery ... it is the worst kind of spineless cowardice imaginable! Using human shields is also contemptible. The only reason the Muslim radicals embrace jihad is because the Qur'an teaches that is the only guarantee into Allah's paradise (for the reward of those 72 large-breasted, large-eyed virgins for an eternity of copulation). Otherwise, you have no clue as to how Allah is predisposed toward you until you fall off that bridge into the myriad of torments in hell below (most Muslims are secretly afraid of Allah throughout their entire lives because they will never know what Allah's mood will be like as it pertains to their eternal destination. If I had that kind of fear about GOD'S Love toward me and was told the only sure-fire way into Heaven was to die in a holy jihad, I'd probably blow myself up, too, to escape the countless horrors described by Islam regarding hell).

A soldier (especially a soldier in the army of GOD) should die with dignity, courage, and a valor suitable to the GOD or country that he or she represents -- to use an old-fashioned phrase: the soldier should live & die like a m--a--n! There is no honor or glory in blowing up innocent people via suicide bombing, no pride in hiding one's face behind a ski mask like a common criminal, and even Allah would not accept the actions of those who (unlike the Coalition Forces) have no qualms about using their sacred mosques to store weapons, use as battle grounds, or even detonating these so-called holy places of worship. That's why a jihadist will only be a terrorist in the eyes of the world -- never a soldier -- and terrorists fight dirty like cowards who will never earn the respect of anyone.

Read some history books someday, pal. The jihadists will be stopped, and probably by an Act of Divine Retribution from the Deity you all claim to serve!

Didnt Hitler talk big? what of Charles Taylor, Saddam Hussein and others? it's only unfortunate that all these are done in the name of God. It all shows that islam will fall and lose credibilty in the near future-listen to what some of their scholars shared during the Frontpage discourse with Mr Spencer.Moslems are stirred up because of the prayers focused on the 10/40 window.
