Here again we see the complete absence of any sense of personal or collective responsibility on the part of the mujahedin. This is a phenomenon I discuss in my book The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades). Throughout history, jihad warriors have pursued aggressive attacks against non-Muslims; but when those non-Muslims retaliate in any way, the mujahedin portray the retaliation as an unprovoked act of aggression, and use it as a pretext to recruit more Muslims to their cause.
Today, this has the power to cloud men's minds -- particularly if those minds are already besotted with leftist multiculturalism that demonizes the West and Western civilization. They believe that if they address the current pretexts for the jihad, and grant the mujahedin various concessions, peace will ensue. In reality, however, all that will happen is more jihad, carried out under fresh pretexts.
Islamic Jihad has been waging violent jihad against Israel for years -- but here again, Israel's retaliation is seen as some out-of-the-blue act of aggression. Only the most foolish and naive should fall for this at this point.
From Reuters, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
Israeli troops killed seven Palestinians including a leading Islamic Jihad militant on Sunday in the bloodiest fighting in weeks in the occupied West Bank, an Israeli military official and Palestinian sources said. The violence drew vows of revenge from Islamic Jihad, a group that has spearheaded attacks against Israel throughout a more than five year Palestinian uprising.
An Israeli military spokesman, Captain Jacob Dallal, said soldiers shot and killed Elias Eshkar, a "top Islamic Jihad terrorist in the West Bank" blamed for being mastermind of attacks that have killed more than 50 Israelis since early 2005.
The most recent suicide bombing blamed on Eshkar killed 11 people in a Tel Aviv eatery in mid-April, the highest death toll in an attack in the Jewish state in about two years.
Four other militants died in the raid in which soldiers surrounded a house in the town of Qabatiya, as Eshkar hid inside, including Eshkar's brother, Dallal said.
The troops killed the gunmen after they shot at the soldiers, ignoring an appeal to surrender, he said....
The bloodshed was the worst for a single day since Israel killed eight militants in a Gaza air raid on April 8, though tensions have risen since a government led by Hamas, whose charter calls to destroy Israel, rose to government in March.
Islamic Jihad's armed wing condemned the Israeli raids in a statement as "a new Zionist massacre" and vowed "we will continue our martyrdom operations".
Israel mounts frequent military raids in the West Bank against suspected militants. Islamic Jihad often says that its attacks are a response to these raids.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas issued a statement condemning the violence and urged the world to intervene.
"The Israeli grave escalation will lead the region to more violence and instability," he said.

This complete absence of personal or collective responsibility is a symptom of psychopathic behaviour, an inability to feel guilt or remorse.A complete lack of self-criticism and therefore, possible reform or cure. An intractable sickness that I'm not sure is treatable. Be afraid.

"Islamic Jihad has been waging violent jihad against Israel for years -- but here again, Israel's retaliation is seen as some out-of-the-blue act of aggression. Only the most foolish and naive should fall for this at this point."
The problem is that most of the world has bought the "Palestinian" narrative of a native population "since time immemorial" having been driven from their homes by an invasion of eastern European Jews who have used the Holocaust as justification for doing so. Consequently, anything Israel does is seen either as an act of aggression against a "resistance movement" or too little, too late acts such as vacating Gaza.
So, it's not about foolishness or naivity, but rather ignorance of history and demography.

Please explain to me why the U.S. is trying to figure out a way to send "humanitarian" $ to these people who are obviously devoid of any shred of humane belief or actions:
TEL AVIV – The death yesterday of Daniel Wultz, a Florida teenager critically injured last month in a suicide bombing at an Israeli restaurant, is a "gift from Allah" and revenge against American Jewish support for Israel, Abu Nasser, a leader of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, one of the groups responsible for the deadly blast, told WorldNetDaily.
Abu Amin, a leader of the Islamic Jihad, which also took responsibility for the April 17 bombing in which Wultz was injured, told WND last night his terror group may target Americans in the near future.
Wultz, 16, was one of over 60 people injured in the attack in which a Palestinian suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowded section of Tel Aviv as Israelis celebrated the fifth day of the Passover holiday. The blast ripped through a falafel restaurant just outside the city's old central bus station, killing nine. The same restaurant was hit by a suicide attack in January, wounding 20. A tenth Israeli victim passed away this weekend. Wultz's demise yesterday brought to 11 the total number of deaths from the suicide blast so far.
Wultz was a resident of Weston, Fla. He was on Passover vacation in Israel along with his family. The teenager was seated with his father, Yekutiel, at an outside table of the targeted restaurant when the bomb was detonated.
Described as an avid basketball player, Wultz lost his spleen, a leg and a kidney in the attack. Doctors at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital had reportedly been fighting to save his other leg, which was suffering from severely reduced blood flow. Wultz's father suffered a fractured leg in the attack.
Wultz had been lying in a coma in the intensive care unit since the bombing, though he briefly was aroused last month.
His story had generated extensive international media coverage and had prompted a flurry of e-mails across the Internet asking people worldwide to pray for the young terror victim.
Islamic Jihad and the Al Aqsa Brigades, the declared military wing of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah Party, claimed responsibility for the bombing.
In a WND exclusive interview yesterday, Abu Nasser, a senior leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in the West Bank, rejoiced in Wultz's death. Abu Nasser is part of the Brigades leadership in the Balata refugee camp suspected of plotting the attack.
"This is a gift from Allah. We wish this young dog will go directly with no transit to hell," Abu Nasser said.
"[Wultz] was part of the American support machine that helps our enemy. All these young American Jews come here to support the occupation, they build and live in the settlements ... . I imagine him as one of these Nazis who live here [in the settlements.] There is no difference between him and them."
Regarding U.S. policy in the Middle East, Abu Nasser commented, "I say to the Americans if you will not change than we wish you more Daniel Wultzes and more pain and sorrow because it seems that this is the only thing you deserve."
Abu Nasser went on to pledge more suicide bombings inside Israel.
"We will hit whenever we will think it is suitable and do not expect that I give details but we can hit everywhere," he said.
Also speaking to WND, Islamic Jihad senior leader in the northern West Bank Abu Amin called Wultz's death a "message from Allah to the unbelievers that he will always be at the side of those who believe and fight for him."
Comparing Wultz to the suicide bomber who killed the Florida teenager, Abu Amin said, "Our hero believed in Allah and died while fighting for Allah but your pig was killed in a restaurant in an area full of prostitution."
He said Wultz's death should demonstrate to Americans "that even if you live in the U.S. the hand of Allah and the sword of the Jihad fighters will reach you and you will find the same end [as Wultz]."
Asked if his group would specifically target Americans in Israel, Abu Amin replied, "Concerning the Americans we do not target them but I will not be surprise if the resistance organizations would reconsider this matter. America is a full partner of the enemy in the siege against our people.
"If we know there are Americans in a place we plan to attack, we will not cancel the operation. On the contrary this would be a sign from Allah that this is a more blessed operation. Killing Americans and Jews in one operation – it can be great."

I sometimes wonder if in the mind of the Almighty there is not a link between the fate of the Arabs on the West Bank and elsewhere in the Middle East and this-

Does the Almighty see everything linked in one eternal present?

one of the problems with the rise of Hamas is that it makes abu mazen look good. Actually, he is a murderer and facilitator of murder, a Holocaust denier, a robber of money from his fellow Arabs, etc. There is no justification for building him up as an alternative to the Hamas. There is no justification for negotiating with him. He represents only a minority of the Arabs in the palestinian authority zones, and he has not fulfilled the terms of the so-called Road Map. The Road Map is bad enough in its own right, and Sharon was wrong to accept it. Bush was wrong to promote it. It is not a prescription for peace, which the EU does not want anyhow. But the Road Map does say that terrorist groups [probably called "militants" or militias in the road map] must first be disarmed before any negotiations begin. According to the road map, only the official palestinian authority police forces [there about a dozen of them] can bear arms in the PA zones. That's another problem since the PA police forces are terrorists in uniform who moonlight as regular terrorists, or carry out terrorist acts under orders from their PA superiors [Tarawi gave such orders on behalf of arafat].
In any case, all efforts to help abu mazen demonstrate the moral corruption of international diplomacy and international organizations.

Allah will do most anything for his murderous submitters. The Religion of Peace has as it's head deity, a fiendish god, who revels in putting real or percieved enemys in the fire. Abu Nasser, Abu Amin, and all those other Abu's are nothing more than high priests of a murderous cult. Association with Allah as a submitter, combined with a primitive intellect and a propensity for murder and mayhem, creates all these low life Abu's. Mohammad was also an Abu. The west should give Allah-Abu three choices...One get out of Islam and mellow out, or go directly to jail, or take lots of Prozac, and get a job...these black magicians are living off western money, no doubt. Probably none of them have done an honest days work in their lives. Abu is an authority on only one subject...nurdering for Allah. Not a good job, but it pays well...

When they've spent the last 1300 years either praying or killing; your skill sets become rather limited. Killing pays a better salary and Allah likes a good old-fashioned infidel slaughter.

I agree with you. Why doesn't Israel take these opportunities to liquidate Fatah and Islamic Jihad, and leave Hamas in sole control. That way, it could be theoretically possible to isolate the "Palestinians", and retailiate on Hamas the next time a Katyusha flies out of Gush Katif.

Pride,
from your mouth to God's ear. The present prime minister of Israel, Olmert, is probably the most unfit in our whole modern history. Olmert wants to make Condi and George happy, and tony and jacques too, I suppose.
What I suggest is letting your closest Israeli embassy or consulate know that you think Olmert is being foolish and is missing a chance to provide for Israel's defense. By the way, Olmert's party got less than one-fourth of the vote in the recent election. He does not have a mandate to do anything drastic. He has parliamentary majority with his corrupt coalition partners, but he has no legitimacy.
