Verdonk backs down; Ayaan will retain Dutch nationality

Good news from the Liberty and Justice blog: "Ayaan Will Be Dutch, No Matter What":

NOS Journaal reports that both the international pressure and national pressure in support of Ayaan has worked. Minister of Integration Rita Verdonk announced tonight that Ayaan Hirsi Ali will receive a Dutch nationality, no matter the outcome of the investigation Parliament demanded Verdonk to conduct.

Coincidentally, Verdonk was heavily scrutinized today in a ministers-meeting. Balkenende specifically mentioned the harm Verdonk did to the image of the Netherlands (of the Netherlands not being tolerant, etc.).

The question should never have arisen. Although I do not consider the UK part of "Europe" I do not believe that Ayaan Hirsi Ali should be kicked out to appease islamic terrorists. I would suggest that she come to the UK, unfortunately the UK seems to have become the breeding ground of jihad terrorism, so she would be in as much danger here as anywhere in "europe". By the way, any space in America for a hard worker? That's me by the way.

Bravo! I am glad that the Dutch, and specifically the ruling party, have come to their senses. I hope that the Minister for Integration does not retain her cabinet post after this fiasco.

DaveMate:

I would love to welcome you to the good old US of A. The Brits in America are very successful. If you have good work ethics and intelligence, you will make it here mate. Also, Americans are suckers for the British accent which gives you a built-in advantage. That is, if you have the right kind of British accent (“upper crust types”) or could fake one. I am sure that you would love America and America would love you back. Just hop on a plane and find an American girl to merry you so that you will get a Green Card. Don’t worry there is pea for every pot..

I must say, I think it would still be best for her to come to the USA and spread the word here on a regular basis. Not only would she be safer, so would we all be.

I'm glad the onomatopoetic Verdonk backed off; I hope her political career is effectively ended by this petty and ultimately fruitless display of opportunism.

Now, if only this original nonsense had been a machiavellian plan hatched between Hirsi Ali and Verdonk in order to "sacrifice" Ali (to America) in order that the Dutch might then begin to "justifiably" expel tens (hundreds?) of thousands of Islamic infil-traitors living in The Netherlands, by means of a much stricter immigration reform (with Ali as the first "victim", by mutual agreement between the ladies), I would applaud them both, and such a brilliant maneuver.

But, it doesn't appear to have been such a subtle tactic.

Mere political jockeying.

There are many nice areas near D.C. (site of the U.S. think tank that hired her, I think), especially along the Chesapeake Bay, and I hope Hirsi Ali finds a beachfront home there to enjoy her new life in freedom. (The local Maryland crab dishes are delectible.)

She can cultivate tulips if she ever gets nostalgic. (Symbols of an earlier form of Dutch hysteria.)

DaveMate asks, "any space in America for a hard worker? That's me by the way."

DaveMate,
there is always room in America for a hard worker from Europe willing to contribute something to America, whether it's Mark Burnett, Hirsi Ali or DaveMate. You would be welcome any time.

And if you're still single, there's better news yet. American women absolutely love guys with British accents. Just go into any singles bar in America, pick one out, tell her "The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain" in your best British accent, and she'll think you're another John Steed. You'll be golden.

If she lives near Washington, she better stay away from Northern Virginia or Virginiastan as its now known for its high concentration of Jihadist warriors and sharia importers all within spittin' distance of the Capitol Dome and etc.

I think that her message will be spread far wider once she's in the USA. I think her glamour and being black get her more media attention there, which will be a good thing if they let her stick to the message.

poetcomic1-

At least Ms. Ali will legally have Messers. Smith & Wesson on her side.

(Perhaps literally.)

As they should be saying of her in The Netherlands:

Zij is een ware heldin.

(She is a true heroine.)

We're lucky to gain her as an ally in this battle closer to home.

Ah... what a cruel twist of fate. Ms Ali about to be given US citizenship only to find she'll continue having the stigma of being Dutch.

"Got her goin' on
Like Donkey Kong
And whoo-ee
Shut my mouth, slap your grandma
There orta be a law
Get the Sheriff on the phone
Lord have mercy, how's she even got it all so wrong
That honky tonk Verdonk's gone kerplunk"

Yes, it is dangerous for anyone who spaeks the truth to come to the UK. I've said so for a long while.

Look up

http://uppompeii.blogspot.com/

for news of London and the UK. As you are in London, any news from there would be appreciated.

One consideration of the attempt to remove the Hirsi Ali's citizenship on the grounds that she lied is that all those who have settled in the Netherlands or have citizenship, could be removed if they had lied in any way.

Having had to back down on Hirsi Ali, I wonder if all the rest who lied, will now be allowed to stay in the Netherlands, as a precedent has now been set. This is a much bigger issue then just the fate of Hirsi Ali's citizenship, as the Netherlands itself is under threat.

DaveMate:

No problems, mate! America is always accepting new workers. Come on over across the pond one of these days. We'd love to have you!

I don't think I would particularly feel safe in Holland especially as bad neighbours tried to get her evicted because they were just selfish and the government tried to send her to her possible death. Holland is not a safe place for people who have free thought all of a sudden. The Dutch people should get rid of their government as soon as possible.

DaveMate: By all means come on over. There's always room for a hardworking bloke from Britain over here. I think all Europeans should spend a spell in the USA. T'will broaden your outlook. I spent six years with the USAF in England and considered settling there after retirement. I don't like the news I'm getting these days about how the country is changing. I hope the Labour Government will tighten up on how they are handling foreigners from the Middle East. Here's a new book you'll like. Its title: "While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam Is Destroying The West From Within" by Bruce Bawer. It was published in 2006 by Doubleday. Your library or bookstore will have it or can get it.

Does anyone know about the US naturalisation process? Would a guy from a freindly hard-working country such as England or something in Western Europe or Japan or Korea or Australia etc., actually have an advantage over the application of someone in the 3rd world or from a relatively non-friendly country?
