Jihadist funds his activities by kidnapping, enslaving Christian children

No, this isn't a story about pirate raids from the 18th century. This is the here and now. It sounds just too impossibly lurid to be true, but the staid London Times is the source of the story: "Reunited: boys saved from slavers," from the TimesOnline, with thanks to Christopher:

A SENIOR member of an Islamic organisation linked to Al-Qaeda is funding his activities through the kidnapping of Christian children who are sold into slavery in Pakistan.

The Sunday Times has established that Gul Khan, a wealthy militant who uses the base of Jamaat-ud Daawa (JUD) near Lahore, is behind a cruel trade in boys aged six to 12.

They are abducted from remote Christian villages in the Punjab and fetch nearly £1,000 each from buyers who consign them to a life of misery in domestic servitude or in the sex trade.

Khan was exposed in a sting organised by American and Pakistani missionaries who decided to save 20 such boys and return them to their homes. Using a secret camera, they filmed him accepting $28,500 (£15,000) from a Pakistani missionary posing as a businessman who said he wanted to set up an operation in which the boys would beg for cash on the streets.

Khan was observed driving from the meeting with a knapsack full of cash to the JUD headquarters at Muridke, near Lahore.

The base was funded by Osama Bin Laden, the Al-Qaeda leader, in the late 1990s and the JUD’s assets were frozen last month by the US Treasury after it was designated a terrorist organisation.

Read it all.

It's as I said, the muslim himself will provide the lurid detail that will, sooner or later, cry out for their own destruction.

The American people are a hot blooded people, and this story should given wide latitude through the blogosphere.

Perhaps Spencer should ask Esmay what he makes of all this.

arjun.sevak laments that s/he wants some relief from this evil sweeping across the planet.

Well.. so has everybody else since about the 7th century. But if you don't kill them all then they re-group, re-populate, re-organize, and re-attack.

Islam is a cancer which has been festering in the gut of civilization for over 1300 years. Attempts have been made throughout history to beat it back in a collective effort to buy civilization more time. In doing so, untold numbers of people, young and old, died extremely violent deaths in battles of unimagineable cruelty now long since forgotten.

But like a cancer, if you don't eradicate it right down to the very last cell, islam grows back and, at some future date, it's 'cells' once again threaten the health and well-being of everything around them.

In short, permanent relief is possible but may kill the host.

I don't see how we can criticise this. They're not doing anything that isn't allowed in the koran and example of mohammed. Several quotes in the koran condone slavery and mohammed had the children sold into slavery after the siege of Medina.

Mohammed is to be revered as a shining example for all eternity of how to live your life. These people are simply follwing in his footsteps. As as those who advocate killing apostates, gays, the Danish cartoonists etc.

To criticise this, is to criticise the teachings of Islam iself. That cannot be tolerated.

I am fed up of the muslim scrouge.

We are living in a time of a mass communication revolution: physically in terms of rapid movement of people over large distances and also in terms of the means of spreading news and ideas. Sometimes I wonder if that, in itself, speeds up events, and the waxing and waning of ideas and ideologies. Perhaps the Islamists will sate people appetite for such things even in majority-Muslim countries and eventually arouse disgust. I'm not hopeful, at least in the short term, but perhaps this is a possibility.

Karsh is interesting on Nasser's political ambitions. It's interesting to learn that Nasser once remarked: "Iraqis are savage, the Lebanese venal and morally degenerate, the Saudis dirty, the Yemenis hopelessly backward and stupid, and the Syrians irresponsible, unreliable and treacherous." So much for pan-Arabist sentiment. However, calculating that Egypt with the largest population but least natural resources in the region might stand to gain from pan-Arabism, Nasser cynically ramped up pan-Arab rhetoric, demonized Israel, and set Egypt on an ultimately disastrous and self-damaging course. By the end of things, it seems likely he had come to believe his own propaganda.

This seems to be the problem with the region. While the Western concept of a territorial state may be absent, perhaps "local patriotism" isn't - and there's the hope for the future. But any ambitious ruler in the region looking for self-aggrandisement and to legitimate himself immediately draws on pan-Arabism and Islam, engages in unscrupulous demonization of other nations, and re-pollutes public discourse.

Nasser's enormous impact on the Arab imperial dream, though, lay not in the theoretical refinement of the ideal but in its unprecedented inculcation among the Arabic-speaking populations of the Middle East. Day by day, from dawn to dusk, eleven powerful transmitters were broadcasting militant Egyptian propaganda to each of the Arab states ... Listeners were fed the most outlandish lies and conspiracy theories, thinly disguised as "news reports". They were informed of regular murders of Egyptians in the United States, of bombings of Arabs that had never occurred, of demonstrations and riots in Arab towns that existed on no maps, and so on and so forth.

What's the situation with radio now, I wonder. I don't know what the U.S. is broadcasting in the region, or whether it is at all. But surely what is needed is a reliable news and information service. I'm not saying that the U.S., should bend news to suit its interests: I'm saying it should broadcast honest and accurate news that will clearly be seen to be so over time, since it will cross-check with other sources and be seen to be more coherent and plausible than some constructed fantasy world. I read a few weeks ago that Israel's Government had opened a website in Arabic. (I can't recall where I saw this - LGF, I think.) As someone commented, that took awhile, didn't it? Surely, there are people in the Arab world who would take a look at such a site, out of curiosity or a desire to "know the enemy", and might find that his news can be reliable and fair, and he's not as demoniacal as Islamic theology and the local imam paint him.

Al Qaeda claims attempt on the life of Palestinian General Intelligence chief, Gen. Tariq Abu Ghajab, Saturday

May 21, 2006, 1:34 PM (GMT+02:00)

This is just the beginning, says al Qaeda-Palestine over the Internet.

Abu Ghajab is in the Tel Aviv Ichilov Hospital in critical condition after a huge remote-controlled explosion ripped through the GI HQ building in Gaza, killing his bodyguard and injuring 9 officers. Israeli hospitalized him at Abu Mazen’s request.

On April 28, DEBKAfile exclusively quoted the al Qaeda cell in Gaza as threatening attacks on Palestinian and Israeli targets as soon as final orders came through rom Abu Musab al Zarqawi, al Qaeda’s Iraq chief.

Every year, as the date of Israel's Independence (May 15) approaches, Palestinian Authority TV broadcasts numerous programs and video clips to mourn Israel's creation -- what they call the "Nakba," the catastrophe. The recurring themes are the denial of Israel's right to exist and the call for the undoing of "the catastrophe" - a euphemism for Israel's destruction.

This year's recurring clip shows the map of Israel -- entitled "Palestine" - scrolling slowly down the screen. The date 1948 - the year of Israel's establishment - repeatedly appears on the screen, behind bars.

At the end of the clip an old woman is shown, while the words on the screen read: "Palestine is the land of my forefathers. LEAVE IT."

Mahdi al Dajjal,
Hi ! You have made a remarkable post. It seems that you grasp the situation very well. Fortunately or unfortunately, I do too. I realize the grim reality and it gnaws at me all the time. Sometimes, I get frustrated, like today, and just wish out loud for a messiah, maybe a solution. And deep down I know, that it is not going to be so easy. I know that billions of innocents have died a death of unimaginable violence by the hands of islam. I see only a section of it in the recorded history of the centuries. Those innocent dead haunt me. And I have a bad feeling that millions are going to die in the near future before this cancer can be eradicated. I think it is fortunately, however much it distresses me.

The Muslim student in Kentucky should be grateful that America traditionally held Christian principles, and allows her to worship her false god in America freely, unlike the total intolerance shown to Christians in Islamic nations. A recent convert to Christianity in Afghanistan was nearly executed for believing in the name of Jesus! The demons of Hell are making rapid advances worldwide in an attempt to blacklist and isolate Christians and God's Holy Word. The ACLU has never come to the assistance of anybody that expressed Biblical precepts, but they are always as swift as a streaking comet to attack America’s at her Christian roots.

No. Because Christians are the ones being kidnapped. If it were Muslim on Muslim slavery, it would be denoucned. But since it's Muslim on Christian slavery, there's no issue.

Besides, the Christians in Pakistan deserve it for the persecution Muslims are undergoing these days (This is sarcasm for the benefit of the sarcasm-impaired)

Although most of the people in the world are still unaware of it, our world is racing headlong towards a fateful date with destiny, an epic struggle that the Bible indicates will reach its climax at the place called Armageddon. As the world nears that epic date of infamy, the people and nations of this world will have a decision to make. The primary reason that the Lord God Jehovah provided so much prophetic detail in the Holy Bible is so the world could analyze history and be informed about what the Lord says will come about in the Latter Days so they could make the wise choice and choose to be on the Lord’s side when it comes time for the armies of the nations to march down into the Valley of Decision.

This article by Andrew Bostom on the dhimma - and specifically on shi'ite attitudes in Iran to infidels is interesting:

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles.php?article_id=5513

Can I say that I don't know what to make of much of what Bernard Lewis says in the link I gave above? People over at LGF were swooning with delight over the odd candid comment Lewis made here and there in his question-and-answer session.

But Lewis seems to me to be something of an apologist for Islam - not in a crude sense, of course, but rather in a sense that he bends over backwards to be "fair" and it's far from clear to me that his attempts at "fairness" are at all accurate in historical terms. You can read what he says, and it all sounds plausible enough, but then you read Bostom's new piece and immediately come across documented behaviour from the past that, frankly, comes across as isane:

(they [i.e., the Jews] are forbidden to go out when it rains; for it is said the rain would wash dirt off them, which would sully the feet of the Mussulmans)
…was required to wear ‘basmackes’ (a kind of over-shoes), because being a giaour [infidel], it was thought he would contaminate the imperial precincts…when he was dismissed from the Shah’s presence, [Jenkinson stated] ‘after me followed a man with a basanet of sand, sifting all the way that I had gone within the said palace’- as though covering something unclean.

Lewis's line now seems to be that, OK, radical Islam these days is pretty awful, but really that is because it is a hybrid being. It is "Islamism" - Islam hybridized with European ideologies of "revolution" and the "mass movement". But he doesn't attempt to prove this: he asserts it. Oh, and maybe "Wahhabism" is a problem, too - although his listeners should note that "Wahhabism" is somehow not Islam: "Wahhabism is about as central to Islam as, shall we say, the Ku Klux Klan to Christianity," he says.

Well, I'm sorry, unlike Lewis I may not be able to read Arabic, but I do know that the Ku Klux Klan, first, have very little to do with what what is in the New Testament and secondly, have a negligible impact on the world, or even their local, scene. What is Lewis on?

So it seems to me that Lewis is saying that we can in some sense ignore the whole contemporary scene - the catalogue of oppression and the subjection of women and the kidnapping and the terror that we read about here every day - because that is not really "Islam" in some sense of the word "Islam", Lewis having taken the word hostage so that it no longer refers to what those who profess it teach and do. That leaves the past, in which Lewis's listeners have to assume that Islam was relatively benign, because that's what Lewis more-or-less says.

But then what about the Armenian genocide, the slaughter in the sub-continent (where there is still a Hindu Kush), that wall built of Christian heads in Serbia, the suffering that Moulay Islamail's palace was built on, the horrific treatment of black Africans in the Islamic slave trade, and so many other things? What about what is detailed in books? - e.g.:

The Legacy of Jihad

Islamic Imperialism

I find it difficult to take what Lewis says seriously. I also think he's wriggling on the issue of Iraq. He says that he was right all along and that Iraq is ripe for democracy, but that the coalition forces have "snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory" in the way in which they've tried to implement it - but he doesn't say how.

Or mexican if mexico has it way.

I have already learned to speak the only words that I need: S&W, Colt, Ruger, etc. are my bywords.

Liberalism and PCness of America and the world will see the world fall. America will have to wage war in America due to the mass invasion occurring right now from mexico. America will not then be able to fight the muslims overseas and Europe will fall or we will have nuclear war.

it is a grim potential future if America and the world do not wake up to the threats across the world not only from islam but other nations that want a part of world domination, Russia, China, and those that wish to wage war on America = Mexico, Cuba, Venz...

Prepare. Attacks will happen across America.

Be armed. If you are not armed you can not defend yourself, your community, your state and America.

Be ready. For it will be too late to prepare or be armed once the war starts.

God bless America and give us the strength and might to win this war.

Ignorance, barbarism, atrocities and islam go together.

This is just another atrocity that the MSM will ignore because islam is a rop.

1+1 does not equal 2 any more, it equals whatever the liberals and PCness wants it to equal. America is being played right into the hands of islam.

One world government is coming and it is being promoted by president bush and the liberals. America is being crippled from inside by mass invasion of illegals. Why do you think that bush and the liberals want a guest worker program that will increase our population by 100 million - 100,000,000 that is 1/3 of our current population?

Do you think you will have any freedoms left if there are 100,000,000 mexicans allowed into America and allowed to vote??? mexican will be the national language of America. America will be crippled from over popluation.

Islam will revel in the downfall of America's might and the war will become open with islam.

Do not depend on the federal government to protect you when the war starts in America. The first thing the feds will do is to declare martial law and try to seize all weapons held by private citizens.

The signs are here. It is all coming together. America can only fall from within and our non-action is allowing it to happen.

Prepare.
Be armed.
Be ready.

Many are decrying the fact that so many around us, people like Esmay for instance, "just don't get it."

It's the nature of democracies. Before Reagan was able to initiate the largest, peacetime military buildup in American history, it took almost a decade of hard work, by groups such as "The Committee on the Present Danger." Some of you forget what those days were like. Britain, in the '30s, another instance of the difficulty of getting democracies to rouse themselves, and take a foreign threat seriously.

This inability, or rather habit of democracies to avoid responding promptly to foreign threats, stretches back to antiquity. There was a famous Athenian orator who did his utmost to rouse Athens to the threat of Philip of Macedon, all to no avail. His name was Demosthenes.

This isn't new.

And it's going to take a great deal of effort on our part to awaken the righteous fury of the United States, of Great Britain, of Australia, of the wider West. Spencer and Fitzgerald, for all their knowledge of the facts, and for all of Fitzgerald's evident command of the English language, aren't going to be able to do it on their own.

It's up to us, and I just don't mean practicing your shooting.

All of us need to spread information.

Have links for people to check out.

Have reference material to offer.

And don't yield to despair, especially when you see Westerners apparently so unconcerned about what is looming on the horizon. Because this isn't historically new, this isn't an aberration.

Start ambushing your area Congressmen when they come around your area. Take the opportunity to hit them with a few sharp questions. And make sure you don't allow yourself to come off as some kind of craze. Phrase your query as if you were confused, and simply wanted the Congressman to clarify some matters for you. When he tosses out the politically correct boilerplate, be ready to respond.

Call up the talk shows.

The radio talk hosts cover issues that gets an audience, if you start calling, you might get their phone lines busy.

To conclude, don't yield to despair, nor give way to despondency.

We're going to win this war, and we're going to do what hasn't been done, throw jihad up on the ash heap of history.

Texican-

Agreed.

Promote, pamphleteer and proseltyze.

My senators' and representatives' phone screeners are fairly receptive to calmly-worded, but strongly-made arguments. And maybe my intensely-expressed concerns over the Dubai ports fiasco helped torpedo that idiocy.

Emailing the White House gets only an 'autoreply', but I'm hoping that what I send on subjects of the moment (immigration, Islam, etc.) leavens the dullness of the rote jobs of the low-level functionaries with a little wit, and maybe one bubble of sanity percolates upward. (We haven't heard Condoleeza Rice using the words "Holy" Koran much lately... I kept asking why she never mentioned the "Holy" Bible, or "Holy" Torah or "Holy" Vedas or "Holy" Tao? Why such favoritism for the least tolerant 'faith'?)

This is a fight on all fronts.

Immigration is currently vital. The borders MUST be closed before an assement of the internal damage, and its solution, can be seriously worked out. Otherwise you are merely revarnishing a leaking vessel.

Keep pressing the political pimps in power to get the border control laws passed before the impulse fades back to the same slovenly stupidity that allowed 20 years of lax enforcement of immigration laws [because business wanted cheap, docile laborers] to overlook 10 million illegals to infiltrate the country.

If not now, when. If not me, who?

Muslim perverts as with all Muslim run of the mill criminals target Christians because they do not morally equate victimizing Christians with victimizing Muslims. In fact, they do not assign any guilt to acts such as robbing and cheating Christians and are often are proud that they victimized Christians.

When I was young in Egypt, there was a rash of schoolboy kidnapping and Christians were over-represented. Gangs kidnap these boys to sell them into sexual slavery or to use them as beggars after amputating their limbs or scarring them in ad-hoc operations. I read mind numbing accounts where such children are forced to service long lines of men, young and old, on any given night, making them the hardest working prostitutes in the Middle East. Muslim apatite for such perversion knows no bound and crosses socioeconomic and age lines. Some Muslim workers with no hope of affording a wife frequent shacks were little boys are offered for sexual release. Older married men with pedophile tendencies frequent these places. Richer gulf tourists have these boys delivered to their furnished flats. The thing that brings this awful thing close to me was the kidnapping of my brother’s best friend, aged eight, in front of his school by a traditionally dressed woman and her accomplices in taxi. His father’s bleeding for his return and asking any and everyone in the street about him broke our heart. We all very much knew where that poor little crucifix wearing Christian boy ended. There is no evil that the tentacles of Islam do not reach.

The base was funded by Osama Bin Laden, the Al-Qaeda leader...

The same OBL and AQ that funded and operated the Beslan operation. You remember, the one where, when the 6-yr old girls offended Allah by crying at the gun in her face that she was bayoneted in front of her first-day-of-school-ever classmates.

The same OBL and AQ that has asked that at least two American cities be obliterated for a total of 4 million killed, with preferably at least 2 million of them children.

This last touch apparently an homage to the ridiculous myth that the Jews have killed 2 million poor innocent "palestinian" kids over the last 50 years.

have_mercy,

Yes, islam is evil. There's no doubt about that.

The brave, manly, honorable, chivalrous wielders of the sword of jihad strike again! Now, aren't we all impressed with the high honor in which Islam holds women and children, including those of other faiths?

pissedoffcanadian, it is way past time for real war to be waged against the real enemey, islam.

Several years ago, I met in London an officer in the Sudanese army who by his name was Muslim, studied at the London School of Economics, and told me that his family had 100 slaves. While he admired the freedom of American (Western) women, his friends at LSE for the most part got their wives through arranged marriages. These Sudanese wives-to-be, never allowed out of their homes in the Sudan, were put on airplanes and sent to England to marry men they had never met and set up households without knowing the language of the country they were going to. Their plight appears relatively mild compared to that of the young boys described in the article, but it is on the same continuum. The nature of those who commoditize women and children is brutal, barbaric, and animalistic.

This Gul Khan has been exposed, but apparently not arrested, much less prosecuted.

"The undercover missionaries have demanded the prosecution of Khan and an investigation into his work for the JUD, which claims to have created a “pure Islamic environment” at Muridke."

What of the Pakistani police, judiciary, government, the UN, and others who should be involved in bringing this man to justice?

Does anyone know if the NSA's Echelon program is still up and running? I don't believe it ended after the Y2K scare. For those who don't know how it works, Echelon is a keyword scanning program, and you attract the attention of the NSA when you use enough of the "hot words". Words like geehad, keel, moider, you get the idea. I don't think they would have a hard time finding out the real names and addresses behind these screen names. Makes you wonder how many posters here are on watch lists kept by the government, while the enemy plots in farsi and arabic. Ironic, huh? The easy way to stay off the list is to misspell "quesionable" words.
Just a tip.

But Pakistan gets the honorary title of "most allied ally" thanks to the toadying done by politicians on both sides of the aisle -- the RepubliKhans and the Dhimmicrats.

Pakistan is no ally. With friends like this, who needs enemies? They're just giving lip-service to the war on terror, while they clandestinely support the Taliban to bite the Western hand that's feeding them.

Texican,
I do all that pal, and more. And I prefer a peacemaker. I know there is going to be urban warfare, in all countries that the mos are. You are the mirror image of what I am, friend.

OneEyedJack"are you saying people on this site are being monitored for being anti jihadists? Nobody here is in favour of jihad so if the government is monitoring us they are wasting there time. I agree with the texan lets get this war on.

arjun.sevak you state that there is going to be urban war in countries with mos. But you say you are the opposite of the texan,so are you pro mos or not. Sort of confused.

Could be. I've already been contacted by someone from Homeland Security several months ago.

They asked me several questions about what I thought about this or that -- all political types of questions, and I told them point blank.

Haven't heard back; but I did thank them for their service to their country.

Was it attributable to posts made here? Haven't a clue, but the thin vail of the screen names can be easily lifted. I suppose the jihadists are working on the issue.

Hopefully, Robert et al is protecting your identity somehow but there is a technical limit -- so you should take measures to protect yourself.

If you want security, it is easy enough to do but that is another subject for another day.

Hey if the NSA wants to talk to me, send somebody along. (I'll make them a regular visitor of JW/DW :)
). I mean, muslims are attacking innocent people. And WE are wrong if we talk about it.
pissedoffcanadian, I did not say I was the opposite of Texican. The words I used were "mirror image", like in "spitting image".

By all means, keep your papers in order; and for heaven's sake, don't pay any attention to all those cameras that are going up over every intersection -- (although, I'm not sure why they put one up at an intersection in the middle of a corn field where the nearest buildings were at least a mile-and-half away but oh well:]

And those German shepards with the body armor that sniff out bombs that are now standard issue to the paramilitary security forces at just about every train station in the US -- get used to it!

I have no doubt that they are regular visitors to JW/DW.

I don't know if I am not being sensitive here; but I can't seem to muster kind words.

Rather, cursing comes to mind for this unspeakable evil.

Those pukes ... deserve ...; you can fill in the rest.

If Christians are slaves for Muslims can we have Muslim slaves? I find it quite tiresome walking to my fridge for cans of beer, if some little Abdul was there do fetch and carry all I would have to do would sit on the sofa watching football!

someone commented above that Islam was intolerant. Indeed. Now, when your Leftist friends tell you about how tolerant Islam is, etc., then you can quote none other than Karl Marx who said that the Muslims were "intolerant." This was in his article in the New York DailyTribune [Horace Greeley's paper], 15 April 1854, reprinted by Shlomo Avineri in an anthology of Marx's writings. See links:
