Charles Johnson at LGF got an email saying, "I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut...." Nothing much unusual in that, but the more he investigates the sender, the more it points to...Inayat Bunglawala, a leading British moderate Muslim (although one who has already been established to be a slightly immoderate moderate). Of course, maybe the unhinged hired help is using Bunglawala's personal computer after hours. Here is Charles' account of the unfolding tale. "We Got Mail from Reuters (Bumped)":
Early this morning at about 3:00 am on the West Coast, someone in Sweden Britain connected to the Internet and browsed over to this article at the Guardian by Inayat Bunglawala, media secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain: This code could open doors.Bunglawala’s piece (about the Da Vinci Code) is in the section of the Guardian site where readers can comment, and someone posted a link to LGF as a rebuttal to Bunglawala. Our Swedish British visitor clicked that link, leading him/her/it to this post: Swedish Muslims Demand Shari’a.
At 3:23 am, this creature used our contact form to send the following email with the obviously phony Hotmail address ‘zionistpig@hotmail.com’ and the subject line, “You bunch of wankers.”
I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut....Well, isn’t that tolerant.
But this particular death threat is a bit different from the run of the mill hate mail we get around here, because an IP lookup on the sender reveals that he/she/it was using an account at none other than Reuters News: RIPE Whois Database: 192.165.213.18. (Please note: the name and address below are those of Reuters’ technical contact, not the name of the freak responsible for our hate mail. Please do not send him email.)
[...]
UPDATE at 5/25/06 5:16:44 pm:
NOTE: things just got much more interesting with this post from Inayat Bunglawala himself, shortly after the post containing the link to LGF: Comment is free: This code could open doors.
Nick223: No, neither applied nor implemented. I am a little worried about your reference to the LGF website though. Many on that site seem to be to be clearly anti-Arab and anti-Muslim. As for ‘jetting to and forth between London and Stockholm’ - no, it is an illusion created by the way the CiF site tracks the posters. When I post from work it comes up as Sweden for some reason, when I do so from home, it correctly lists London. I have never been to Sweden unfortunately.UPDATE at 5/25/06 5:41:06 pm:
Note Bunglawala’s comment above: the Guardian’s comment system thinks he’s posting from Sweden, but he’s actually in London.
The IP address of our hate mailer traces to a Reuters (news service) account hosted in Sweden. Chances are, that’s how the Guardian’s comment system decides where someone is posting from.
But this ‘where is’ lookup at Geobytes shows the physical location of our emailer as ... London.
Did I mention this is a Reuters account?
UPDATE at 5/25/06 5:50:50 pm:
Inayat Bunglawala was selected as one of seven “conveners” for a Home Office task force with responsibilities for tackling extremism among young Muslims—despite a history of extremist statements.
UPDATE at 5/25/06 6:09:49 pm:
The Guardian, of course, has a history of hiring extremists: The Guardian’s Pet Islamofascist.
UPDATE at 5/25/06 7:07:05 pm:
Do I need to point out that it would be extremely unlikely for a person who does not work for a news agency (say, the Guardian) to have access to a Reuters account?
UPDATE 6:22AM Friday: Inayat Bunglawala has denied involvement in this in a colorful way over at Comment Is Free: "Hey, that was not me! Let the police deal with it. Methinks some Zionists are up to mischief."

There would be no threats if they did not feel pressure. Keep up the good work LGF.
If you let them, the muslims always embarrass themselves. They sound like 5 year old children “I can’t find fault in your argument so I’ll hurt you. “ I have a long weekend, if you muslims really want to cry, line up and I’ll find some towels. I will softly pat you on the head, “there, there, I know baby, the bad man scares you, there, there.” If you are good I will read you bed time stories of brave islamic warriors, I like fiction anyway.

I can not forget the first song I learned in school just before the Six Day War titled "Arabs Our Beloved and Jews Our Dogs." I used to wonder at that time who the Jews were but with the rest of the kids, I repeated the words without any knowledge of their meaning.

Iran sees global, anti-U.S. entente: Russia, China, India . . .
SPECIAL TO WORLD TRIBUNE.COM
Thursday, May 25, 2006
Iran aims to form an axis of powerful nations against the United States.
Officials said Iran has sought to recruit a coalition that would oppose U.S. interests in the Middle East and Central Asia. They said the alliance would include nuclear powers.
"China, Russia, India and Iran are capable of establishing a pole of major powers in Asia, opposing the policies of America," Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Maj. Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi said.

To the question above: if the answer turns out to be Yes, then what is the British government going to do about the now-identified sender of such death threats?
Anything? Other, that is, than instituting deportation proceedings. Oh, and if the sending of death threats is not grounds for deportation, because the need for such a law was not contemplated even a year or even six months ago, such a law should be passed in every Infidel country. That is the absolute minimum that is required.
And what if the "moderate" in question is already a citizen? Then other laws need to be passed, offering grounds for the stripping of citizenship. There are ways to draft such legislation cleverly. There are clever people. Use them.

DO... what will they do. They will do PC nothing at all and will be awarded for doing nothing.
Are you kidding... the clever and oil rich people own the British media and the promiment newspapers. A Saudi Prince just bought about 6 percent of one of the largest media conglomerates. Read their papers for unbiased reporting. That's what they will do.
It's what we will do that matters. The media is SOLD to the highest bidder.

Hugh says,
"Bungle Wallah indeed."
Sorry Hugh. What does that mean, exactly? I was reminded of a Jethro Tull song, but somehow knew that you weren't referencing that '70s song.

In answer to Aiken Bryce's qurie above.
I think I may be able to answer. From spending time in India (and reading Rudyard Kipling books)
a wallah is a word whose nearest definition I can think of is "occupation "or "trade." eg a milkman would be a "doodh wallah" ( doodh being milk ) , a washer man would be the "washing wallah". I guess a postman would be "post wallah".
The term seemed to always be applied to males.
Therefore a "bungle wallah" would be the man whose speciality is bungling. Hugh is also making a word play on his name, Bunglawala, which would have given him hell in the playground.
While on the subject of all things Indian I have a question for one (or more) the many Indian posters on this board to hopefully comment on but I'm waiting for a relevant thread ( on the Muslims in India , past and present) to come up.
at May 26, 2006 3:29 AM
Bungle Wallah indeed.
Evidently, not the brightest button in the box.
Still, when many in positions of authority throughout the West are lacking even common sense, the boneheaded stupidity of those who do not wish us well doesn't give much cause for optimism.

The Essene gospel and dead sea scrolls are showing that Jesus was not percieved as the God figure that orthodox christianity has made him out, thats all well and fine, how does that become anything near to uniting christianity and islam though, since no matter what amount of time and research is put into christs life and death. The real problem that needs dealing with is dumping the muslims fasle barbaric prophet of doom and sadistic disgust, before we can all join hands. So back to the old drawing board!

Excellent work, and thank you for providing some much needed laughter.
My grandfather used to say that crooks without brains are mere idiots. Inayat, buddy, you obviously lack the brains to be double-faced.
By the way, for "some" reason your surname reminded me of the Ninja Turtles. Cowabunga, and please don't cut my throat: I need it to laugh at your expense. ;D

Two kinds of well-known wallahs:
In Bombay the tiffin wallahs bring tiffin, la merenda, elevenses.
On the silver screen, Merchant and Ivory brought "Shakespeare Wallah," about a group of touring English actors, who brought Shakespeare to Indian towns. It was based on the family of Felicity Kendal, who later played memorably in Tom Stoppard's "India Ink."
So now there are three famous kinds of wallah:
The Tiffin Wallah.
The Shakespeare Wallah.
The Bungle Wallah.

From Inayat Bunglawala's name, I think it's more likely that he's from Malaysia, rather than Bangladesh.
I don't believe "wala" translates the same there as well, since its origins are Farsi, rather than Sanskrit. So Bunglawala might just be a vanilla Malay name, very much unlike "Daroowala" (alcohol vendor).

Sheikh Yermani
I went to the main site that you posted above. The "Music for the Global anti-Jihad" was awesome. The opening bars were shocking - I thought I was listening to my executioners: the interruption was sweet.
Do you have the lyrics to that song posted anywhere? You've replaced Offspring as my favorite singer. Too bad you can't be as public a star.
Keep rocking!!!
at May 27, 2006 1:21 AM
Inayat Bunglawala is employed by the Home Office therefore it is a case of a Government employee making threats to kill. Not only are they murdering people by letting Somalians loose they are also aiding and abetting jihad. Nice one Tony Blair, not. It is the Home office which is to blame and the buck has to stop with the Home Secretary John Reid.

Fortunately, the hate-mailer's IP address has been accessing LGF up to 45 times a day, so it may be difficult for Inayat to show that he wsn't present for ALL these times.
Even better, the same hate-mailer accessed LGF via a "hand-held Blackberry computer" at some stage.
Exactly how Inayat could allege that someone else used his computer when his back was turned - and yet this same person managed to steal his Blackberry and use it too....
This could be very amusing to watch him try and squirm his way out of this one!
at May 29, 2006 12:38 AM
Storagemanager, could you do a favor? From now on, when quoting Walid, could you put the quote in quotation marks? The reason I got confused over at LGF by your comments is because I thought perhaps your name was "Walid" but your screenname was "storagemanager." Also, just another suggestion, but maybe add in Walid's surname as well, and if possible, a link to his site. He is an amazing person, and I know you agree with me since you like to quote him a lot. That way, you can send more people to his website. Just a thought. :-)

Birmingham/gbr Nick223: I notice that you have proudly made the following comment on the Jihad Watch website (http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/011559.php#comments) : 'It was me who got this guy to be busted, posting as Nick223 on Guardian'. Now, this is a pretty serious accusation don't you think, especially in light of the fact that I am not 'busted' and did not send the email to LGF nor post anything there. I have not been suspended from anything! I note that Charles at LGF says that the person involved used 'the contact form on the left sidebar' - well, I did not do that either. One of the drawbacks of the Guardian's comment section is that it allows people to make libellous accusations while hiding behind anonymity. I can understand your wish not to publicly reveal your identity but there are many alternatives available. You could go to to your nearest police station and tell them that you made these claims and ask them to get in touch with Scotland Yard where I have raised this matter. I hope you will act in an honourable manner, but I have to say that I have no great expectations from a devotee of the racist LGF website".
