London club 'bombing plan' taped

How could they be anything but guilty and deserving of death, those "slags dancing around"? From the BBC, with thanks to all who sent this in:

An alleged British terror cell talked of blowing up London's Ministry of Sound nightclub, the Old Bailey heard.

Accused Jawad Akbar said no-one could "turn round and say 'oh they were innocent' those "slags dancing around?".

He and another member of the alleged cell linked to al-Qaeda appeared to discuss targets in surveillance tapes.

Seven of the men deny conspiring with a Canadian to cause explosions. Four of the men also deny having chemicals suitable for bomb-making.

In the secret security surveillance recordings, Omar Khyam, 24, of Crawley, West Sussex, is heard apparently discussing targeting utility companies with the help of recruits with inside knowledge, to cut off essential supplies around the country.

But another of the alleged plotters, Jawad Akbar, 22, also of Crawley, says the well-known central London nightclub was a softer target for a terror attack, according to the prosecution.

'Easy stuff'

The prosecution claimed the recording was made at Akbar's then home in Uxbridge, west London, on 22 February, 2004.

On the tape Jawad Akbar: "What about easy stuff where you don't need no experience and nothing and you could get a job, yeah, like for example the biggest nightclub in central London where no-one can even turn round and say "oh they were innocent" those slags dancing around?

Omar Khyam: "If you get a job in a bar, yeah, or a club, say the Ministry of Sound, what are you planning to do there then?"

Jawad Akbar: "Blow the whole thing up."

Omar Khyam: "That's what I'm saying."

Jawad Akbar: "I think the club thing you could do, but the gas would be much harder. There's people who even get in with their searching stuff but it's only bouncers that search you."

Omar Khyam said: "The explosion in the clubs, yeah, that's fine, bro, that's not a problem. The training for that is available. To get them into the Ministry of Sound really isn't difficult."

You'd think the Left would at least notice attacks on dance clubs. But that would require thinking about their new allies in Bush hatred.

Beagle: That was a crass comment about the left. We are all combined in our efforts to stop terror. It's interesting that these (lame) terrorists were too cowardly to become suicide bombers, and referred to the MoS clubbers as 'not innocent'. However, it does illustrate that the British Intelligence services can combine wire tapping and the legal process to (hopefully) prosecute these wanna-be bombers.

Off to prison, for life, with these plotters.

Take them seriously now and there will be fewer funerals later. (Since there is no death penalty, unfortunately, in that green and pleasant land, the 6 foot plots can't be theirs.)

Turn up that trip hop version of "Rock The Casbah"!

What does islam have against dancing? The more I learn about those people the more I have to wonder "What color is the sky on the planet they come from?";)

Dancin' OMG - If memory serves, the Taliban also had a distaste for music in general and, for some reason, kite flying. Perhaps any amusement that threatens to take up valuable time that could be spent praying or killing is taboo. Pass the beer!

FireAngel,

Nearly all forms of music are deemed to be un-Islamic. Also men and women mixing is also deemed un-Islamic, especially with the women not covered up. Plus the fact that alcohol is being drunk there.

The ideal target for Islamic terrorists would be a crowded place where nearly everyone there is an infidel.

Since by 'slags' he meant loose women, he believes that public opinion wouldn't argue with the proposition that immodestly clad women dancing in mixed company were guilty of lasciviousness and fornicationand and therefore deserved to die. There seems to be the twisted implication that he wouldn't have felt good or at least would have felt open to criticism killing women just going about their everyday business. Presumably the men were lawful targets whatever they were doing. Arab men often love nothing better than to dance with each other when letting their hair down.

muslims are forbidden to have sex standing up. They are afraid someone will think they are dancing.

Please note, this is a FINE example of a "Domestic Wire-Tapping" success story.

"Can you hear me now? Good."

We are all combined in our efforts to stop terror.

I don't think so. No. The Left has never did anything to stop islamic terror. In fact, they oppose most measures and side with most islamic terrorists whenever there is room for them to saddle up next to them. The Left is out to destroy the western Christian world. I don't think that is putting it too strongly. That is the essense of being Left. It means you wish to overthrow the existing social order.

Even the GOP is lukewarm on terror. Bush is pathetically weak on terror. There is no political Right in America. There is left and center. There is no Right.

I hope one day a Right wing party comes to prominence.

No! Left stands against the right, which tries to stop terror, thereby, helping, not stopping terror... Think about it.

Hello, this is my first post here even though I have been a regular visitor to this site for several months.

Along with some other posters, I must disagree with my fellow countryman Albion's dismissal of the charge that Left is essentially refusing to accept, or acknowledge, the Islamist threat. My own experience is that their beliefs generally range from the usual conspiracy-theory nonsense (the whole terrorist thing is being manufactured by the Bush Administration) to that of being practically sympathetic (i.e. they wouldn't be doing these things if the West would just stop being beastly to Muslims and the Palestinians in particular). According to some on the Left, even the so-called occupation of Afghanistan is apparently one reason why Muslims are angry, and terrorist outrages occur. But how can we reason with people who confuse the difference between cause and effect, and frequently label those who raise the issue of Islam and terrorism as being "racist"? Moreover, events in Afghanistan lead to the formation of the absurd Leninist-Shariah alliance party, Respect, in Britain headed by the treacherous dictator-groveller and Islamist sympathiser, George Galloway. This is a man who, in his own words, regretted the passing away of the old Soviet Union but who now finds an emotional outlet for his West-hating through barely-disguised sympathies for Islamic terrorism. After all, he openly supports the murder of British and allied soldiers in Iraq by so-called insurgents, and only this very day has said that a suicide attack on Tony Blair would be "morally justifiable".

I venture to say that George Galloway's indefinite imprisonment in the Tower of London, along with that of a few more purblind or wilfully errant left-wing apologists of Islamist terror would also be morally justifiable.

TheNorthumbrian-

Isn't there a nice, left-over executionar's axe in the Tower of London somewhere?

-Away with the Gall-!

These cultural termite-enablers are the amoral dry rot that makes the wood easier for the jihadists to chew.

I’m surprised that clubs haven’t been attacked already. After all, so much of what goes on in a club is forbidden as far as Muslims are concerned.

Think of what you see at a typical club on any given night:

Music? Allah forbids this! (“On the day of Resurrection, molten lead shall be poured into the ears of one who listens intently to songs”)

Social contact between unmarried men and women? Allah forbids this! ("Whenever a man is alone with a woman, Satan is the third among them")

Drinking alcohol? Allah forbids this! (“O ye who believe! Strong drink and games of chance and idols and divining arrows are only an infamy of Satan's handiwork. Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?”)

Women wearing miniskirts? Allah demands that they wear the burka! (“they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their chests and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers...")

Dancing? Well that would involve social contact (forbidden) and music (also forbidden). It also involves immodest behavior that Allah forbids (“Say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty”, “Say to the believing man that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty ; that will make for greater purity for them”)

Civilized people would see all of this as harmless fun. But in the twisted mind of a Muslim, all of this is pure evil. For the Muslim everything is forbidden (except of course bowing to Allah, blowing up buildings, killing people, etc…)

Then there’s the “slags dancing around” comment. Just one more example of the hatred that Muslim men have for women. Especially women in the west who have freedom. Of course at the rate that Europe is being transformed into Eurabia, women in Europe probably won’t have their freedom for much longer.

How many of you know this. The First islamic bank, a sharia bank based in Bahrain now owns South Staffordshire Water. And to close all the posibilities they also own a bottled water plant in the area. So if you live in that area and "something" happens to the water make your own arrangements.

"South Staffordshire Water is the fifth largest of the 12 water only companies in England and Wales." They sure did their homework.
