Report: Missile Parts, 'Dual-Use' Materials Illegally Shipped to Iran Through Turkey

1938 Alert from AP, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:

ANKARA, Turkey — An Iranian-owned company, based in Turkey, has illegally shipped alleged guided missile parts as well as "dual use" nuclear-related material to Iran, including high-strength aluminum tubes, according to a recent Turkish government report obtained by The Associated Press on Friday.

The company imported the material to Turkey, the supposed end-user, from dozens of firms around the world, including the United States, and then shipped them to Iran apparently after falsifying documents to hide the nature of the material, customs inspectors said in the report dated May 12.

BUT ONLY FOR ENERGY RIGHT?......Tehran, Iran, May 26 – Obtaining nuclear capabilities has transformed Iran into a world power, hard-line Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said. His comments were reported by the official news agency on Thursday.

“The ability to influence the international landscape gives a country the status of a world power”, Ahmadinejad said.

“Today, with the Islamic Republic of Iran having obtained peaceful nuclear technology, the international landscape has changed and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been transformed into an influential power”, he said.

“Despite propaganda by the Arrogance (West), nations all over the world are increasingly becoming prepared to accept the great goals of the Iranian people’s revolution”, he added.

"as well as "dual use" nuclear-related material to Iran,"

"Dual use" in the Iranian vernacular means Israel/U.S...

"he is an easy guy to read"

Most Muslims are when they're talking among friends. It's only when they're addressing the rest of the world that it gets so befuddling. They're very frank about their intentions. They are very proud of their intentions. They BELIEVE in their intentions. The intend to carry out their intentions.

Here in America they are found discussing and dreaming of our overthrow -- of our destruction -- of our capitulation -- of our annihilation -- The problem is -- it's so hard to imagine that throngs of insane hate filled verminous Muslims really pose any threat.

I always disliked those Iranian mass demonstrations chanting "Death Death Death to America" but never really took it too seriously -- somewhere between building one falling and building two -- I had a change of heart...

I believe them. I believe them. I believe them.

What will it take for the rest of the world to believe what they freely proudly promise...? They mean every hate filled word.

i am afraid it will take what mahmoud wants most in the world, CHAOS then the world will believe.may GOD help us.

I have come to the same conclusion... and although an agnostic -- I agree: God help us all.

Well lets see, high strength aluminum tubes. Where have I heard that before. That's rite they were found in Iraq. But theres was no WMDs there too.

I think it also puts things in the proper light to recognize that the Robert Spencers, and the Melanie Phillipses, and the Oriana Fallacis, in short, all the warners and the worriers -- the ones who sound sometimes dour, and sometimes shrill, and sometimes like they are the most hopeless and pessimistic of all -- THEY are the optimists -- why else ring the alarum?

All the rest -- all the true misunderstanders of Islam, those hapless infidels, those asleep, those confused, and those who are already too afraid about Islam to to talk about Islam -- those are the 'target audience' -- they must learn, they must change their minds. Without them, the Jihad will continue and continue and contine.

And among us are the conspirators who think the enemy of my enemy is my friend, the apologists for fascism and failure, the dreamers of false dreams, the self-loathing traitors to the West -- they are enemies. They, along with the true understanders of Islam -- the Bin Ladens and the Ahmadinijads and the King Abdullahs -- and all those who abet them and further Islam in and perpetuate the poisoning of humanity -- they are mortal enemies who must be dealt with in the harshest manner possible. They are murderers of civilizations. They are murderers of hope and progress and humanity. Their crimes surpass all previous crimes.

they are the watchmen....sounding the alarm for us who listen.

What it does mean is that the "secular" Turkey, supposedly ill, is in actual fact:dead. Any attempt to assume that it is still alive will reap the expected benefit but only to the Islamic tide slowly swallowing and dissolving Europe. To allow Turkey into the EU will be to create a jihadic tsunami which will swamp Europe that much more quickly.

The expression"Secular Muslim" is a contradiction and to assume that such a creature exists is insane. If you are a Muslim, you can NEVER be secular as if you are secular you are no longer a Muslim but an apostate just waiting for his Islamic dessert.

What is that saying about" not worrying about your enemies as they are predictable but worrying about your 'friends'"? I do not think that Turkey is any friend to the west and that is without the Armenian question considered.

The difference between statemen and policians is obvious if you think about it: one calls a "spade" a "spade", the other calls it a shovel and uses it to cover us with material(bovine effuent)) which obscure common sense.

I'm sure the aluminum tubes were to be bent into comfy lawn chair frames for Mahmoud and the mad mullahs to sit and enjoy the view of the cemetary where their future suicide bomber garrisons will be sworn in.

Nothing to see here.

Keep moving.

Thumper-

"dual use"

LOL!

Aluminum tubes? This reminds me of the Black Bush skit by Dave Chappelle: "The nigger bought aluminum tubes! Do I need to tell you what the fuck you can do with an aluminum tube?! ALUMINUM!!!"

Maybe it's not so funny this time, unless Iran intends to buy yellow cake too.

O.T.

Scruton on Mill. There's a passing mention of "Radical Islam", but the link is offered here more as interesting background to the unresolved tensions within our own culture:

We know what is going to happen soon and those end results will not be good for humanity at all...war with Iran seems inevitable and the time will come when one say's "that's the straw that broke the camels back" and the masses will be saying "OH SHIITE".

I mourn at the thought of those times and that my children and grandchildren will be affected by it as you and I are now, the world we knew ceased to exist 9-11-01 and we will never regain what has been taken from us but we will forge ahead make new paths and we will raise our children in a different light, we HAVE risen to the occasion we SHALL overcome.

Aye, we will prevail, but at what cost. Do we sit and wait till another 6 million jews are snuffed out in an instant? Perhaps along with 7 million New Yorkers. Thousands now or Millions later, I believe the choice is that simple.

Turkey; small potatoes.

The largest re-importer of all goods into Iran (including nasty things) are our good friends the United Arab Emirates.

Go on line. Look up import-export UAE-IRAN.

The UAE is the well-spring from which Iranian nuclear rivers shall some day flow.

With friend like this...
