Third Grade Jihad Update from the Washington Post, with thanks to Sr. Soph:
A federal jury yesterday convicted the last man charged as a member of the "Virginia jihad network," deciding that Ali Asad Chandia aided a terrorist group that is fighting the government of India. The jury in U.S. District Court in Alexandria found Chandia, 29, guilty of three counts of providing material support to Lashkar-i-Taiba or conspiring to do so. Although jurors acquitted him of a fourth count of supporting terrorists, the College Park man faces up to 45 years in prison when he is sentenced Aug. 18.
Prosecutors said Chandia trained at a Lashkar camp in Pakistan and helped the group acquire paintballs and other equipment with potential military applications when he returned to the United States. Lashkar, which is battling to end Indian control over much of Kashmir, is considered a terrorist group by the U.S. government. The verdict brings to 11 the number of Muslim men convicted in the investigation of what prosecutors called a network dedicated to preparing for holy war against U.S. troops. Their training included playing paintball in the Virginia countryside, and a number of the defendants attended Lashkar camps overseas. Prosecutors said Chandia is a former personal assistant to Ali al-Timimi, the group's spiritual leader, who is serving a life prison term....
The local Muslim community has criticized the investigation as overzealous and the prison terms of those convicted as excessive. Muslims flocked to the courthouse to show support for Chandia, a third-grade teacher at a Muslim school in Maryland. About 100 supporters attended closing arguments Monday.
"We see today's verdict as a tragedy,'' said Lynn Eppard, a spokeswoman for the Ali Asad Support Committee, a group that raised money for Chandia's defense and posted summaries of trial testimony on the Internet. "These are troubling times not just for Muslims but for the entire country. . . . Millions of dollars are being spent under the guise of protecting us all, in this instance from a third-grade school teacher who was never proven to have had ill feelings or taken any action against any U.S. citizen."
Why, Ms. Eppard, you're going to make me weep -- thinking about all those dead infidels that would have resulted from Chandia having been able to carry out his plans.

What a 'tragedy!'
Well, at least he has to postpone his jihad as long as he is behind bars...
But then again, when I think of prison da'awa, he is not really 'out' unless he is taken out....

We had made them more powerful in the land than yourselves [the Meccans], sent down for them abundant water from the sky and gave them rivers that rolled at their feet. Yet because they sinned We destroyed them all and raised up other generations after them. If We sent down to you a Book inscribed on real parchment and they touched it with their own hands, the unbelievers would still assert: ‘This is but plain sorcery.' They ask: ‘Why has no angel been sent down to him [Muhammad]?' If We had sent down an angel, their fate would have been sealed and they would have never been reprieved" (6:5–8).....Gee what about the cave?...the angel of light?....

You're NOT dealing with FOOLS, Ms. Eppard. This is just the beginning of what I hope is a trend in America - prosecution of a Muslim enemy.
I have eyes and ears in Virginia. Don't think for a minute I'm not aware of the "demographic" issues threatening the Nation's Capital. The lobbyists for and from the Muslims and illegals are starting to swarm like flies around a dungheap.

-- from the article above
Not a single Muslim has been held on terrorism charges, or gone to trial, or been sentenced, without a very large and noisy and aggressive display of support by dozens of fellow Muslims. Far from expressing disapproval, far for even once suggesting that someone "got what he deserved," every single Muslim spokesman and group appears dead set on attacking the prosecution, and defending to the end, and beyond the end, the person excused.
That is telling. That tells us everything we need to know.
If someone plots murder or an act of treason, and either carries it out or is caught before he can carry it out, and is then charged and convicted, and others deplore him and distance themselves from him clearly, unambiguously, and without any ulterior motive -- to deflect criticism or unwonted attention, for example -- that is one thing.
But the virtually uninterrupted list of trials in which Muslims have shrilly attacked the police and the judges and the juries and the Americans, British, French, Italians, and all others who dare to monitor, dare to investigate -- and the shrillness is in exact proportion to what they think they can get away with based on the supineness and ignorance of the local Infidels -- that tells us everything.
If the Taliban stomp a woman to death in a stadium, and people look on in silent horror, that is one thing. If the Talibna stomp a woman to death in a stadium, and other Muslims in that stadium cheer enthusiastically, that is quite another.
There has been a rallying around by Muslims after each such event, all right. But not to the Union Jack, nor the Tricolore, nor Old Glory. It has always and everywhere been a rallying round the Black Flag of Islam.

Yes, Hugh, but what is obvious to so many of us still seems to be a mythology to the mainstream media and our own governments. The only antidote I can see is the November elections.

No worries - Just wait until muslims get on juries simply due to their ever increasing demographics it's bound to happen.. mistrial after mistrial... I don't think you'll see many more guilty verdicts on a few years.

Would it be helpful if someone told this Muslim bovinity that in AMERICA, when the Federal Jury finds you GUILTY, the indictment has been PROVEN sufficiently!
What now, cow of Allah? A Sharia Court of Appeals?
This herd of 100 needs to be rounded up, branded on their foreheads, and sent someplace dark and dank. May I suggest their dunghill of origin?

Just imagine if law enforcement was required to let the suspect(s) commit the crime before they could arrest and convict them.
I remember several years ago in Los Angeles when a special Los Angeles Police Group (I think they where called SIS where tracking a group of robbers who had a pattern of robbing McDonalds restaurants just at the time that they closed in the evening. The SIS new who they where and one night they tracked them to a McDonalds in the Sunland, Tujunga area of Los Angeles. They observed the crime beginning to unfold under surveillance and yet they let the crime process all the way until the suspects came out and begin to get into their vehicles. The SIS officers called for them to surrender but the suspects decided to shoot it out with the officers. After the shoot out, 4 or 5 suspects where killed and no officer injuries reported.
What happened after this was the shocker.
Trial lawyers went to work and ended up suing the SIS, and the Los Angeles Police Department successfully, not only for a traumatized McDonald employee that was held at gun point but some of the deceased suspects.
And you ask what was their defence? It was because the SIS knew that the crime was going to occur and did nothing to stop it before it happened. After that; a very successful law enforcement group was disbanded and millions where paid out to the families of these criminals who decided to shoot it out with the police.
You see your damned if you do and if you don't.
Is'nt the American justice system great or what!

ran out of the Mullah's house as if the devil himself was after me and left the village in the dead of night fearing the wrath of the powerful mullah. It may be that the Satan has taken over my brains and it is him who is raising these blasphemous questions. But even my donkey has a mind of its own and did not always do what I wanted it to do.
Am I less than a donkey to blindly believe and obey what others say? I did not even scratch the surface of the mounds of questions that I have. Why, for instance, our Mullah can have four wives and comfortable life built on the sweat and blood of us destitute villagers? We have to pay Khoms (Tithe, one-fifth) of our meager earning? We have to give Zakat (religious contributions) and even gladly offer our life when they demand it? They have their paradise right here on earth, thanks to the servitude of fools like us, while giving us phony promises as our compensation in the afterlife. I have changed my mind about joining the Martyrs Brigade, until such time that some religious authority can give satisfactory answers to all my questions.
My Satan-possessed mind advises all young men and women to beware of the mullahs. They are wolves in sheep's garbs.

Let's hope his sentence is long. If he is not an American citizen, he should be deported immediately after it is over.

Mackie -- the system clearly has its flaws -- but I would suggest that the legal system isn't to blame in regard to the Muslim menace. It was never designed to handle cases involving their Islamic terrorism and Islamic intent to destroy us.
This is an all out militant insurrection, unified under the black flag of Islam. It's not a series of individual crimes and misdemeanors.
I believe this is one reason Western authorities are [un]scrupulously avoiding labeling Islam as the overarching thread. If they do that, society must confront most Muslims for their all-out simmering insurrection. And Western leaders fear the headlines in the global Muslim Press: "The Infidels declare war on Islam".
It's frustrating. Hey -- those are the headlines we get anyway from their sewage stained media. We give Indonesia $2 billion in aid after the tsunami, and they come right back at us with reinvigorated Jihadi hatred.
It is frustrating. I it's easy to say "they hate us anyway -- so let's call their bluff and declare war on Islam" -- I say it too, sometimes, but I don't think it's the answer -- at least not yet.
The apperatus in the West which permits and protects Islam is a much harder nut to crack, and needs to be dealt with too. We must dismantle those aspects of our liberal Western culture which specifically permit and protect Islam in our domain, without also discarding the aspects of that aparatus which we cherish and need. We must not let the Muslim filth taint and endanger our precious rights and freedoms any more than they already have if we can help it. But this will be like delicate brain surgery to remove a complicated brain tumor.
Having said all that, and partially believing some of it, I'm not sure how successful any battle for survival could be when you're forcing yourself to walk around on eggshells, and use the delicacy of brain surgeons to extract a malignancy bent on your complete annihilation. What to do? Thus, the long battle begins.
At the very least, Muslim immigration into the West must be halted immediately. Until we come to grips with how to "handle" the situation, the last thing we need is more moon-cows trampling us under hoof.

One can't overemphasize the importance of these convictions.
Muslims are predisposed to religiously-motivated violence as it is. If the criminal justice system starts breaking down and these cases begin to result in hung-juries or acquitals, it will be open season on America.
