Iran rejects the impudent gestures of the dhimmis. They know who's in charge here. "Iran Granted Extension," from AFP, with thanks to JE:
Iran has rejected a week's extension to respond to an international proposal on suspending uranium enrichment. However EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani will meet next Wednesday to discuss the plan, according to foreign ministers of the G8 group of leading nations.
"We expect to hear a clear and substantive Iranian response to these proposals at the planned meeting," the ministers said in a statement in Moscow, where they have been preparing for a July 15-17 summit in St Petersburg.
I'm sure Iran's ultimate response to all this dhimmitude will be as clear and substantive as a mushroom cloud in the sky.

what it will take for the EU and UN wiennies to realize ...
A giant mushroom cloud over a major city; but they'll still deny it!
If they blame anyone, it will be Israel of course.
If the EU and the UN and the US for that matter were not so .... stupid ... islam would not be the threat it is today; and neither would iran.

OT again, but former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Aznar, wants Israel, Japan and Australia to join NATO.
This is also being pushed by the US.
If Israel was in NATO, that would really piss off the muslims living in the EU, especially if Israel ended up becoming an EU member. After all, they are already in Eurovision.
And with Isreal in NATO, (and the EU), they might want to return to where they came from.

It's the ‘ostrich effect’: as long as our 'leaders' and politicians can stick there heads in the ground, thereby covering their eyes, the danger does not exist. Or the ‘toilet assumption’: once the waste is flushed down the sewer it no longer exists. 'Out of sight out of mind' is my take on the West's dhimmitude toward a very bellicose Iran.

Iran are playing it cool, today they are denying the Nuclear technology but tomorrow they will testing it, just like India and Pakistan.
Iran is clever and infidelism is running scared in a panic. It would be easier if Iran just purchased a couple of the shelf Nukes from Pakistan after all Pakistan is a Muslim country.

such a tiny country and population that Israel is such a threat to all the millions of muslim horde shudder at the sight of the Israeli flag! Israel has made a tiny area of desert productive and shines out in the midst of such squalor and filth of muslim lands. no wonder the mullahs want to turn off the light of the land. evil lurks in the dark, evil lurks in dark minds of the koran, so the more Israel shines, the darker the immanns and mullahs look. will the stupid muslim horde wake up and see who are the real evil ones... their cult of islam and its henchmen have brought up on themsevles.

Has it every pondered upon you little Lulu mind that why would the Jewish want to settle and fight over land which is filled in your words "filth"?
Why did the Europeans not offer them a piece of Land in Europe or America? Or was it that western world not really worthy and had more filth than the Muslim world?
Why are the American and its allies interested in the Middle East to such an extent that they are desperate to attack and take control of particular countries?
I definitely know for sure that the world will be a safer place without America.

Abu,
IMO, God has a sense of humor.
It pleases God that the oasis of Israel sits in the middle of the desolation that is Islam.
No doubt it irks Allah (aka Satan) and his followers, the mohammedans.
Israel is like a thorn in Islam's side.
May God bless Israel and end the curse of Islam for all time.

Abu America writes: "Why did the Europeans not offer them a piece of Land in Europe or America?"
Because the land known as the Levant (site of present-day Israel) has always belonged to the Jews.
The Jews have a far better claim to that land than any Muslims do.
The Jewish prophet Abraham was there in the Bronze Age. At that time, there were no "Palestinians."
Islam started in the 7th century.
So the real question is not whether Jews deserve to live there. Of course God gave them that land in his covenant with Abraham.
The question is whether any Muslims deserve to live there. And my answer is, NO. If we could improve space travel, I would give the Palestinians the entire planet Mars for their homeland. Let them live there!

And the President is so quiet. He'd rather be meeting with leaders of Canada and Mexico and laying out the plan to turn us into one big ill-educated, tax-slave-farm continent for the future rich elitists, instead of being direct with world leaders and the American people about what actions have to be taken in the Middle East, and especially Iraq, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Somalia, and on and on.
What leadership; what foresight.
So, when do more of us start dying on our own homeland? It's like I'm watching a countdown to the inevitable.

Steven L.: the land known as the Levant (site of present-day Israel) has always belonged to the Jews.
What was termed "the Levant" would include much of Syria and Jordan as well as Lebanon. There's no precise definition of "the Levant," you could call it 'that part of the middle east bound by the Mediterranean, the Sinai, Arabia, Mesopotamia and Anatolia.'
Using a term like "Levant" implies that that area belongs to Italian crusaders and/or (Byzantine) Greeks.

Myths of the Middle East
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
© 2000 WorldNetDaily.com
I've been quiet since Israel erupted in fighting spurred by disputes over the Temple Mount.
Until now, I haven't even bothered to say, "See, I told you so." But I can't resist any longer. I feel compelled to remind you of the column I wrote just a couple weeks before the latest uprising. Yeah, folks, I predicted it. That's OK. Hold your applause.
After all, I wish I had been wrong. More than 80 people have been killed since the current fighting in and around Jerusalem began. And for what?
If you believe what you read in most news sources, Palestinians want a homeland and Muslims want control over sites they consider holy. Simple, right?
Well, as an Arab-American journalist who has spent some time in the Middle East dodging more than my share of rocks and mortar shells, I've got to tell you that these are just phony excuses for the rioting, trouble-making and land-grabbing.
Isn't it interesting that prior to the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, there was no serious movement for a Palestinian homeland?
"Well, Farah," you might say, "that was before the Israelis seized the West Bank and Old Jerusalem."
That's true. In the Six-Day War, Israel captured Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem. But they didn't capture these territories from Yasser Arafat. They captured them from Jordan's King Hussein. I can't help but wonder why all these Palestinians suddenly discovered their national identity after Israel won the war.
The truth is that Palestine is no more real than Never-Never Land. The first time the name was used was in 70 A.D. when the Romans committed genocide against the Jews, smashed the Temple and declared the land of Israel would be no more. From then on, the Romans promised, it would be known as Palestine. The name was derived from the Philistines, a Goliathian people conquered by the Jews centuries earlier. It was a way for the Romans to add insult to injury. They also tried to change the name of Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina, but that had even less staying power.
Palestine has never existed -- before or since -- as an autonomous entity. It was ruled alternately by Rome, by Islamic and Christian crusaders, by the Ottoman Empire and, briefly, by the British after World War I. The British agreed to restore at least part of the land to the Jewish people as their homeland.
There is no language known as Palestinian. There is no distinct Palestinian culture. There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 percent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of 1 percent of the landmass.
But that's too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today. Greed. Pride. Envy. Covetousness. No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough.
What about Islam's holy sites? There are none in Jerusalem.
Shocked? You should be. I don't expect you will ever hear this brutal truth from anyone else in the international media. It's just not politically correct.
I know what you're going to say: "Farah, the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem represent Islam's third most holy sites."
Not true. In fact, the Koran says nothing about Jerusalem. It mentions Mecca hundreds of times. It mentions Medina countless times. It never mentions Jerusalem. With good reason. There is no historical evidence to suggest Mohammed ever visited Jerusalem.
So how did Jerusalem become the third holiest site of Islam? Muslims today cite a vague passage in the Koran, the seventeenth Sura, entitled "The Night Journey." It relates that in a dream or a vision Mohammed was carried by night "from the sacred temple to the temple that is most remote, whose precinct we have blessed, that we might show him our signs. ..." In the seventh century, some Muslims identified the two temples mentioned in this verse as being in Mecca and Jerusalem. And that's as close as Islam's connection with Jerusalem gets -- myth, fantasy, wishful thinking. Meanwhile, Jews can trace their roots in Jerusalem back to the days of Abraham.
The latest round of violence in Israel erupted when Likud Party leader Ariel Sharon tried to visit the Temple Mount, the foundation of the Temple built by Solomon. It is the holiest site for Jews. Sharon and his entourage were met with stones and threats. I know what it's like. I've been there. Can you imagine what it is like for Jews to be threatened, stoned and physically kept out of the holiest site in Judaism?
So what's the solution to the Middle East mayhem? Well, frankly, I don't think there is a man-made solution to the violence. But, if there is one, it needs to begin with truth. Pretending will only lead to more chaos. Treating a 5,000-year-old birthright backed by overwhelming historical and archaeological evidence equally with illegitimate claims, wishes and wants gives diplomacy and peacekeeping a bad name.

Gramfan-
Don't confuse the Mohammedans with the facts.
The "farthest mosque" visited in the "Night Journey" dream was originally supposed to be near Medina, where there was a distant-from-Mecca mosque.
There was no mosque in Jerusalem during Mohammed's lifetime, so it could not have been what the imperialist Muslms "re-interpreted" it as, for military/expansionist reasons.
