Polls can be misleading, and Zogby's results have been questionable before, so the results below probably paint a picture of Iran that is prettier than the truth would warrant. Still, it is a stunning admission: One in three want Iran to become more conservative and religious. Two in three agree that Israel should not exist.

Iran started this conflict with the intention of distracting us from their nuclear program.

The 'unimaginable losses' reference is probably about Saddam's chemical weapons. One irony is that, with prevailing winds to the east, the losses will be predominantly to Arab civilians without gas masks.

The other irony is that the plan to distract our attention from Iran's nuclear program may provide the WMD escalation excuse we need to eliminate the Iranian threat for the next decade.

After recent Mumbai terro attacks, I went to a newspaper website and as a user posted a comment on their article on those attacks. I asked the visitors to come and visit JW and faithfreedom. I was able see my post. But next day I went back and saw that my posts were removed. So, I lose heart surrounded by ignorant people who even refuse to learn when pointed in the right direction.

Somewhere I read that it is enough that good people do nothing, for the evil to flourish. So, have the people forgotten about it? Have people lost the willingness to fight evil? Or is it so confusing to decide what is good and what is evil? West is the birth place for modern science and reason. Has the west forgotten the basic tenets of science? When we see that most Islamic countries that have no oil are the worst countries to live in, why does west still keep beating itself up for what happens in those countries? I don't mean to offend any one in the west, but you know I also read somewhere, questions are the answers. So, may be you guys can persuade more people to see the light by asking such (or more effective questions). I know, I was able to convince one of my collegues (in my last visit to US), that west need not cosider itself rsponsible for all the suffering in this world. I also made him accept that there can be no justifiable reasons for terrorism and that Afghan war started by US was completely justifiable albeit it was not fast enough.

I've seen some of the blog pages on Times of India, for instance, and the language there is just breathtaking. Given that they don't moderate that, I thought it was unmoderated. The fact that you had your post removed shows that it is.

It's nice that the Indian MSM, like the MSM everywhere else, knows what to shut off. I doubt that it would work, given the global reach of the internet, and sites like google. Nor are websites yet blocked from India, if the posts from India here are anything to go by. But the day the Indian government chooses to do that (if they can), it will be the end of the tech boom in India.

It is hard to spread the message. Last time I tried on a (non-political) thread which had started raising political matters (I didn't start), Robert Spencer was promptly labelled a racist 'lionised by white supremacists' by another poster. I responded of course to show how ridiculous that was and urged readers to just visit jihadwatch and make up their own minds. My messages and all the other political ones were then immediately removed. Interestingly, the anti-Spencer message had been allowed to sit there for a while.

However, more people now know that jihadwatch exists. Maybe that's all we can do: get the name of the site out there for brief intervals before censored, and let more people check us out out of curiosity or a genuine interest.

Why do MSM and others have such a fear of just letting people make up their own minds???

Trouble is though, there is no such thing as an orthodox authority in Islam.
We are dealing with different groups.

And appealing to anything like conscience or innate humanity is pointless as Islam discourages such God-given qualities from birth, turning innocents into shuffling, unthinking members of the ummah.

Islam is like an out of control train with no brakes approaching the end of the railway track.

Well, these gentlemen certainly didn't see Islam as being spread through cultural exchange, if their descriptions are anything to go by:

And look at what William Eaton, US Consul to Tunis, wrote in 1799:

I agree. My hope is that perhaps some may flee the cult, along the lines of that one lost sheep, and the joy of finding him.

Some may be pushed to reason, and there is still hope, the rest are lost. No harm in presenting the truth.
