How nice! Even in Brussels, HQ of the EU, somebody recognizes the reality.

OT but very important:

A tribunal of Bologna aquitted 18 Islamic terrorists with the following statement:

"Recruiting kamikazes to kill coalition soldiers is not terrirism".

I'm disgusted, very disgusted and ashamed.

The story is only in Italian so far:

I don't speak French but I know the parrots are mindlessly repeating that Israel is harming the chance for peace. It's safe to parrot that line. After all, the parrots will not be attacked by mentally ill islamists ( or rational Israel)for parroting that line. But deep down, I'm sure the parrots are glad Israel is taking care of business with Hezbollah, etc. Ultimately the parrots know that all this is a preperation for taking care of the Ahmadinejad loony bird.

I read the article on tgcom. The judge's decision seems to conflict with the Italian state's right to defend itself, to conduct military actions, etc. Now, I assume that Italy has laws against sedition. Also, Italian forces are engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan. So how can it be allowed for persons in Italy to organize military action [a common euphemism for terrorism by jihadists] against the side on which the Italian army is fighting? Such organizing would clearly seem to be sedition. By the way, there is no international law favoring resistance. It's a matter of defining just resistance in time of war. The decision is absurd

What ever else can be said about hamas and hezbolla one must concede credit where credit is due; they know how to win wars and sway political will.

It isn't going to be Iranian nukes that stop the IDF tanks cold in their tracks; it won't be thousands of rockets raining in on Israel's population; it the clicking sound of Condi Rice's high heels echoing in the hall as she demands Israel's unilateral ceasefire next week!

I hope Israel destroys both hamas and hezbolla -- they will be doing the rest of humanity a favor by finishing off syria and iran while their at it; but it won't happen -- not this time.

I believe that the Israelie politicians will cave to Condi which will hand hamas a victory and embolden hezbollah all the more.

The next time, a few months from now perhaps, it all starts again; and again; and again; each time progressively worse than before because the EU and the US are hell-bent on appeasing murderers and sacraficing Israel on the alter of political correctness as an offering to the West's hand crafted god called globalism.

I wonder if this cartoon could serve as the "offensive to islam" pretext that hamas and hezbolla will use to blow up a bus full of school children somewhere as a justified act of jihad as a result -- it makes me ill.

Finish off the monsters Israel -- the sooner the better!

But have you seen the conductor teaching those parrots to 'parrot' the anti-Issraeli mantra in that cartoon? None other than Hamas. And it is definitely factual. The MSM, the LLLs, the lefties, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the EU, indeed almost everybody parrots the "Israel is ruining peace efforts" and "Islam is a religion of peace" mantra - much to our detriment. its time people familiarised themselves with Winston Churchill, John Quincy Adams and the like before its too late.

l heard this past week from Rush's radio show, that what the Israel military are doing is a blessing in disguise. I am thankful that at least Bush has supported Israel's right to go after these terrorist. also on leftist media keeps on saying about Israeli acupied lands,, well what do you think Hebollah has been doing in Lebanon, it has occupied that country with the help of its money men from iran and syria. peace only comes with a complete victory. There is a huge silent majority in much of Europe that know their true enemy is islam. it is trickling ever so slowly and some of the media will catch on.

Spirit Of 1683-

It's funny you should mention Churchill in your post. When I read Witnesses' prior post I was thinking of Munich (1938) and Churchill's warning that those who want peace must go to war against Nazi Germany. I thought 'I hope Cond doesn't do the Neville Chamberlain dance when she goes to Israel next week.'

I think we are in a defining moment re the future on this matter: war now-or a worse war later. We must give peace a chance and the world must let Israel do what it has to do to give peace a chance. "All we are asking..is give peace a chance..."

Part of the Italian judiciary system is sympathetic to the Islamists. Some judges are communist-leaning, so I am not surprised. The problem is that they are endangering Italy's national security and most likely the Islamic terrorists will turn Italy into their headquarters, just like the UK.

Yes the song has gotten a bit old after hearing it year after year over and over again.

What part of; you can't negotiate with terrorists'does the MSM not understand?

Watch CNN and they seem to spend an awful lot of time talking to hezbollah sympathizers in Beirut. I find myself turning back to FOX TV.

And then there was Larry King Alive interviewing with softballs a family who left Lebanon, and then an editor from Hezbollah TV.

How do you get rid of a cancerous tumor? If you don't try and kill it, it will continue to grow as hezbollah, and hamas have over the past 25 years.

The miscarriage of justice induced by the Bologna judge rests on the notion that plotting to kill soldiers in Afghanistan cannot properly be called terrorism, but those were not, are not, soldiers in a war, but soldiers in Afghanistan sent to fight terrorists -- Al Qaeda -- and the local supporters of terrorists, themselves terrorists towared their own population, the Taliban. It is silly to make such a distiction, and the disquiet felt by Magdi Allam, mentioned in the article, is justified. The Italian magistratura is full of people whose mental formation, whose world view, puts them closer to Bertinotti of Rifondazione Copmunista and Caruso, the pro-PLO anti-Israel (and therefore a protector of those engaged in Jihad elsewhere) than to their vow to protect the Italian state. They need to be harried out of their jobs, out of their influence, need to be constantly exposed and mocked.

Maybe europe and Italy need to go back a little father to one of their Saints?

http://www.ccel.org/ccel/catherine/dialog.iv.i.html

One word as to the translation. I have almost always followed the text of Gigli, a learned Siennese ecclesiastic, who edited the complete works of St. Catherine in the last century. His is the latest edition printed of the Dialogo. Once or twice I have preferred the cinquecento Venetian editor. My aim has been to translate as literally as possible, and at the same time to preserve the characteristic rhythm of the sentences, so suggestive in its way of the sing-song articulation of the Siennese of today. St. Catherine has no style as such; she introduces a metaphor and forgets it; the sea, a vine, and a plough will often appear in the same sentence, sometimes in the same phrase. In such cases I have occasionally taken the liberty of adhering to the first simile when the confusion of metaphor in the original involves hopeless obscurity of expression.
Viareggio, September 1906

Ahh but who was she and what did she try to do??

reading the works of St. Catherine of Sienna LOOK UP

May 12, 2005
The rise of the Seljukian Turks, however, compromised the safety of pilgrims and even threatened the independence of the Byzantine Empire and of all Christendom
In 1070 Jerusalem was taken, and in 1091 Diogenes, the Greek emperor, was defeated and made captive at Mantzikert
Could this be why he sold this proptry to the Jews for he Knew that is the only way to Save the Church from the Mulsums??
Asia Minor and all of Syria became the prey of the Turks. Antioch succumbed in 1084, and by 1092 not one of the great metropolitan sees of Asia remained in the possession of the Christians

Why the great Wall was built to keep out the mulsums??
Michael VII and Gregory VII. The pope seriously contemplated leading a force of 50,000 men to the East in order to re-establish Christian unity, repulse the Turks, and rescue the Holy Sepulchre

But those days now repeat themselves and where are their Saints today? But while they be drunk on the easy life with arab oil they sell out their own sheep how sad sad sad...

Frank says "It's funny you should mention Churchill in your post.

"All we are asking..is give peace a chance...""

I mentioned Churchill, not only because he was right about Hitler - he warned us about Hitler as long ago as 1932, when it became clear that he was Chancellor-in-waiting of Germany, and he also warned us about Imperial Japan and its desire for an expansionist war back in 1937, but nobody listened. He also warned us about the threat of Islam back in 1899, using his experiences gained from the Sudan in 1897/98 and the North West Frontier of India in 1896/97. He belled that cat 107 years ago when he wrote "The River War", but few have paid attention to its loud ringing, and certain passages that are relevant now are worth reading, like:

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

“Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die - but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”

And this succinct description of the followers of Islam, which needs paying particular attention to:

“The religion of Islam above all others was founded upon the sword … Moreover it provides incentives to slaughter, and in three continents has produced fighting breeds of men – filled with a wild and merciless fanaticism.”

He was so knowledgeable, as was John Quincy Adams when he wrote the following in 1829:

"The precept of the Koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force."

Also, in the same year, he wrote this:

"In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar [i.e., Muhammad], the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE (Adams's capital letters)… Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. The war is yet flagrant… While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and goodwill towards men.”

This shows that the biggest casualty of political correctness is plain old common sense. Today, the sensible and rational is branded as racist, fascist and bigoted, much to the cost of our civilization.

O.T.

A quite interesting piece from the Sunday Times on the 7/7 bombers.

It sounds as though one bomber - Shehzad Tanweer's - family may have had no particular interest in Islam:

[Shehzad Tanweer] friend recalls: “He had a nice family. His dad didn’t have a beard or anything. His family weren’t overly religious people.”

This actually has the ring of truth in the way in which "nice" is set over against "hav[ing] a beard" and being "overly religious".

However, whatver the family may have been like, the son was "radicalized" (as the current cant phrase has it) at an Islamic centre:

... there were figures in the community who used the youth club as a way of getting a new and more radical message to the teenagers. “It began about a month after the youth club opened . . . they would start with a story about how Muslims were being killed in Afghanistan and then they’d have a discussion. ...

They would always end up talking about having a holy war.

Mohammad Sidique Khan seems to have been one of these ringleaders.

As usual, those solemnly charged with maintaining law and order and looking to the public safety were turning a bind eye. The site Western Resistance reports:

Tanweer and Khan began to frequent the Iqra Islamic bookshop, where DVDs were being produced which glorified jihad. Martin Gilbertson had been called in to help with computer systems, and he claims he had reported his fears about Tanweer and Khan to Holbeck police in 2003. He was told to send documentation to West Yorkshire police HQ in Wakefield. Gilbertson sent DVDs he had worked on, and named Tanweer and Khan. He addressed the package to the anti-terrorism unit, and sent his address and phone, but no-one got back to him.

Gilbertson wrote recently in the Guardian: " I added a list of names, including Khan and Tanweer, plus the names of people from whom they were receiving emails. Some of those names were quite surprising, because they included people regarded as mainstream Muslim community leaders."

"Mainstream Muslim community leaders"? Now there's a surprise. But don't expect the Sunday Times to get as far as asking itself exactly what "mainstream" might really mean in the context of Islam.

As for West Yorks. Police ... complete dereliction of duty on the part of those charged with protecting the public.

Spirit Of 1683-

Thank you. I am going to copy and paste Churchill's remarks and the remarks of Adams for future reference.

BTW, I think you might find it of interest that in 1928 Churchill wrote he had a "presentiment this this Hitler will shake the world to its foundations...". (I'm close on the quote.) I think Churchill noted his thoughts re Hitler in a letter to the Londin Times. I definately remember that the comment was made in 1928 (5 years before Hitler came to power). Churchill had a remarkable intuition re Hitler-and Islam.

A belated Bastille Day present for francophone visitors, taken from www.france-echos.com, offered in a Lafayette-nous-voila spirit.

Since Hitler has entered the discussion, how about this from German TV station Bayerischer Rundfunk?

Video on the connections between Nazism and Islam - with English subtitles.

Hitler and the Mufti

The blog post speaks rather in a rather ill-informed manner of "how modern Islam has adopted a Nazi style ideology of hate and conspiracy against the Jews". The truth is, Islam didn't need any urging to hate Jews or any other infidels - it's in the Koran, isn't it?

But the German TV channel is a bit more clued up than the blogger and doesn't present anti-Semitism as an alien import into Islam. It's quite clear that the Mufti found just what he wanted in Hitler. Birds of a feather.

BTW, here's William Hague, from the British "Conservative" Party and shadow Foreign Secretary in the UK, shilling for Hizbollah:

We should not be afraid to criticise Israel

This article, all by itself, is enough to establish that a change of government in the UK will make no difference at all.

A little man speaking for a sadly dimished and increasingly irrelevant party.

Hague starts off by gesturing vaguely towards the rocketing of Israel and implying that ... it is a problem but. He then gets down to the real business of suggesting that Israel be stopped from dealing with Hizbollah.

By the end of the article, this little rat is extolling the virtues of the EU's "Mediterranean Dialogue" - in other words, Eurabia. He hopes for "genuine partnership" with "Egypt, Morocco, Jordan and Tunisia" - and other Islamic states he hints at but is too shy to name. Good luck with that. Mein Kampf and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion on sale on every street corner in Egypt, but I guess that's not a problem for a man like Hague. Nor, I guess, would slaughter and Islamization in Ethiopia be.

Bush is bad enough, but rather him than the pygmies we have in the UK.

"This would represent the most dangerous situation in world affairs since the darkest moments of the Cold War. Its prospect requires British and other Western politicians to become steeped in knowledge of Middle Eastern affairs, armed with a coherent, long-term policy."

"Knowledge of Middle Eastern affairs" but not a single mention of Islam in the whole piece.

Who is the Moslem of the mosque of Paris?
The Mosque of Paris, sustained by The union of the Organization Islamisteses of France (UOIF), put down Monday 17 July 2006 a quote for public injury to the consideration of people group by reason of the religion aiming the weekly satirical Charlie Hebdo in reference to the publication in February of caricatures representing the Mahomet prophet. The Mosque of Paris appraises that it is there about a deliberate act of aggression aiming to knock people of Moslem religion.
Mahomet, founding of the Islam, is the beautiful model that must follow and imitate all good Moslem of the mosque of Paris.
But know yourselves this beautiful model?
Mahomet, the beautiful model...
Mahomet, young shepherd without the coin, wife in first marriages a rich business woman, Khâdidja, of 15 years his eldest. At Europeans, one would have called him gigolo.

In Mecca, Mahomet, spouse of a rich woman, bring up poor against the rich and incite them to the rebellion. When the rich persecute his disciples, he/it drops them and makes protect itself/themselves by his rich family. In Europe, one would speak of a loose agitator.

Mahomet, widower of his rich wife, get remarried with the girl of his counselor Abou Bakr, Aïcha, that is 6 years old. Him the déflore whereas she/it is 9 years old. In Belgium one would have accused him of pédophilie.

Mahomet appropriates to the Judaism a few narrations, of others to Christianity, without good to understand the reach and details of it, him in fact a disorganized amalgam as adding of it some legends and narrations learned caravanierses of passage and pretends that Allah dictated him this indigestible soup. If it had not walked close to credulous people, one would have called him swindler and forgery prophet.

To Médine (Yatrib), where he took refuge his clan when quit to protect it, he plays a clan against the other and benefit some to appropriate the power. In West, one would say that it is an opportunist without scruples.

Of Médine, he organizes attacks on trailers that make the path of The Mecca. And he affirms that Allah assigns him a fifth of all the loot. Outside of the Arabia, one would say that it is the chief of a pillager strip.

As he/it doesn't depend on more of his rich wife, that died, he begins to collect women (one speaks of 26 wives and concubines and of a slave multitude: a true livestock! knew it you?). Today one would speak even of more a polygamous, but of an obsessed sexual.

Whereas reigns a truce that all must respect, Mahomet benefits some to surprise and to crush his/her/its enemies. For the UN, it would be a criminal of war.

To Médine, he has several people that criticize it murdered, of which of poets, a hundred-year-old old man, a mother of five children, his family's friend, or a woman that refuse to believe as him. In doesn't import what country to the world one would speak of a killer in set paranoiac.

Surprising the woman of his adoptive son in small holding, and feeling the desire for this one, he changes the law to Allah's name, makes repudiate this pretty creature by his/her/its adoptive son and the wife. If this was not Mahomet, one would say that he/it is about a vicious and twisted mind.

Mahomet, furious to see that Jews don't rally to his/her/its reason, confiscate them their possessions and either expel them in fact big massacre. Yet the Moslem ever accepted to compensate their descendants of possessions that have been despoiled thus. Mahomet, victorious of his enemies, benefits some to make to slaughter and to despoil those that helped him. After having killed the chief of his allies, he obliges his wife to lie down with him. As he is about the founder of one of the big religions, no one will speak of a traitor, nor of a rapist.

Mahomet, invent his laws and organize his State according to circumstances and his/her/its personal interest while affirming with aplomb that it is the divine will. In all society, one would have called him swindler opportunist.

Mahomet seizes The Mecca, in 629, without fighting by dint of ruses, maneuvers and intimidations. If this was not to the VIIième century, one would have treated him of machiavellian, but he was him before the letter.

Mahomet institutes the raid as political. He/it encourages his clan in commands and the material and convenient advantages a sense of the very macho honor. Today, one would speak of chief mafieux.

In a country healthy of mind, an ideology proposing like model a gigolo, a loose, an agitator, a pédophile, a swindler, an assassin, a mafieux, a thief, a proslavery, a rapist, a false prophet, an opportunist without scruples, an obsessed sexual, a criminal of war, a killer in set paranoiac, a vicious and twisted mind, a traitor machiavellian chief of a pillager strip would be declared contrary to the public and forbidden order because putting the society in danger.

There are only Europeans to find such a pacific ideology and to try to encourage his adepts by all means to the name of the struggle against intolerance.

Just trying to do my part?

It appears Israel is telegraphing their intentions to their enemies each step of the way. Leave your homes, flee past the Litani . . . ect. ect. ect. Yes, she is a law abiding country, but, at some point, when your cities are getting shattered each day, you must ask: them or me? At some point it will not matter what the US or EU thinks. And, sadly, I think that point is close.

What other tricks does Nasrallah have up her sleave? Chemical, biological, nuclear, more powerful rockets hitting Tel Aviv, activated sleeper cells worldwide(as noted in a breaking story on the Jerusalem Post), or all of the above? Peres calls Nasrallah "a political fool," while other Israelis scoff at his claims, noting he is "a liar."

But, what, exactly has he lied about? Destroying Israel, rocket strikes, surprises, laughing off the Israeli intelligence and missing him again and again. But, surely he must be telling tales about hitting Haifa and what is beyond Haifa or the rumour of 500 rockets destroying Tel Aviv. No, he is just bragging. He wants peace. Right.

Israel should have attacked with all speed, without warning, without red lines, but it won't(or can't). They wrongly perceived that a limited land attack into Southern Lebanon would avoid worldwide condemnation.

But, it won't matter. The condemnations will fly anyway. As a lifelong supporter of Israel, if I can see weakness and waffling in the Israeli response, the Arabs will see it too.

For this whole war has been to the strong advantage of Iran and Muslims throughout the middle east, perhaps throughout the world. As EU diplomats sup with Olmert and Peres, discussing setting up a new international force of Ghannan shar shooters, to replace the old team of blue helmeted sharp shooters, the Muslim street will take not of a nonstate terrorist entity that produced a draw(at worse from their perspective)with Israel. Iran has achieved a complete(TOTAL)deflection of interest in their nuclear program--even Russia is rejecting language in the Condi EU deal it has supported a few weeks ago. Palis and Arabs see that provoking Israel is a sure fire way to achieve something(s), and will use it more and more--correctly reading a 'Post-Zionist' leadership of give aways and freebies. The US will see Israel as a charity case, less than a military ally(more important, the Arabs will come to this same position).

And, what will the Israeli rank-and-file people do? What will they do when the initial euphoria of rallying around the flag wears thin? What will they do if Haifa burns day after day after day, and what is beyond Haifa as well? What will they do if their political leadership cares more about world opinion, and forgets world opinion is nice and imporant(as is US aid), but there is even something more important: the protection of your population. What will happen a year from now, if the attacks continue?

I would think we will see several things: a new reality with a 'slow burn' occuring with a complete destruction of tourism(one of the lifebloods of the Israeli economy), you will see more Israeli students trying to get their college education in the US(and staying for jobs afterwords). Immigrants to Israel will freeze or slow to a trickle with an outward 'exodus' of olim picking up a head of steam. To be blunt, Jews in world war II had no options; that isn't the case for Israelis today. Of course, not all will leave, but how would a million or a million and a half Jews in Israel fight off the hordes? Will industries and biotech and nanotech firms move to the US or Europe? And, if I'm right, what would the effect(s) of such an exodus have on Israel's enemies? Will it soften them towards their brother's in Abraham, or embolden them?

I'm not saying I have all the answers(or any of them). It's easy to be an arm-chair quarterback from the safety of my wooden deck in sweet Arkansas. On the otherhand, wisdom is not granted to those in the belly of the beast either! Exhibit A. Ehud Barak. Exhibit B. Shimon Peres.

What may accelerate my gloom-and-doom, glass half empty cup is the ongoing elimination of the nation-states in the middle east(or marked weakening). One could argue the Saudis, the Jordanians, and, most certainly, the Jordanians are weaker than they've ever been. Look at Iraq or Lebanon. Terrorist armies are gaining strength, attacking at will, while a cultivated speaker like Sinora is scared to death for his own skin. What can he do? What the hell would anybody do in his shoes? Bend down to the Shia master or get out of dodge. But with the disengagegment from Gaza--and soon to be West Bank of the Jordan--coupled with the Lebanon withdraw, you have now an anarchy--which could spread. Is their any reason why terrorist groups cannot fire missles from these regions, hiding behind "civilians," knowing Israel wouldn't dare go for another occupation, lacking the stomach for this.

It would appear Israel has run out of tricks. It tried land for peace. It tried peace treaties with 'moderate' Arab governments like Jordan or Egypt, worth only the parchment and good will(and life expectency) of this or that particular Arab leader. It tried a peace process with Oslo, and when it began to fall apart badly, Ehud appeared prostrate before Arafat for his final surrender-half of Jeruslam, but of course, this was not good enough. Israel tried isolating Arafat, building a wall, and, finally, the last refuge of the shattered searcher for peace: unilateral disengagement. But how does this beautiful theory work when Iranian missles fly over such barriers and knife through three or four stories in your cities?

I remember one cold Chicago night many moons ago in the '70's. I asked my Dad about the USSR. How strong is she? Will we win the cold war? He said, "nothing lasts forever." I believe we are entering to a new reality for Israel, or rather my eyes are opening. Who knows how many missles and of what type the Shia have? Of what type? Payload? Quantity? I doubt anybody does except for Iran and Nasrallah. Sure, I am greatly sentimental about Israel, and it is with great regret I admit here I think her days are numbered. While Israel is just one element of Jihad; it is important. Remember the success of a few rag-tag Afghans had against the mighty empire of the USSR? It emboldening effect on Jihad; so will the 'Third Temple's' fall.

Questions, solution.

My question is if we could rewind the clock to 1977, had Israel never met with Sadat, never engaged or disengaged from the Palestinians, but held firm, holding on to the Sinai, Judea, Gaza, would the world's hatred of Israel be any less, or greater? Would the Palis been more pacified(or less), would the Lebanese been more worried(or less)from a 'greater Israel?'

I don't have the answers. My own solution is to pray. Sadly, the last time I did so was on 911. Some joined the military, some educated themselves to Jihad and it's myriad of surgical implements(and rusty knifes), some become dhimmified, heads in the sand. I pray the US is not attacked again. I pray our leaders wake up to the threat(s). I pray for unity among Christians, Jews and Hindus. I pray for Israel. I pray somebody is listening.

Well with friends like you If I were I were Israel and went down I'd bring the whole west down with me Know what I mean I'd say you don't care about my people and let them die so I will go back and see what my book sayes??

Well looking in that book I'd get gudieness and would take out every oil rig sea port in the whole middle east make it so hot it couldn't be worked for years so no oil for anybody.

At least that would be my game plan if I had friends like you who thought I was not worth anything??

My hand from far away would touch your life the one who cares for noone but himself??

How sad but being a mulsum I understand where you come from.

Ecclesiastes5:8-14
Walk in the light
For you once darkness but now you are light in the lord walk as children of light. [for the fruit of the spirit is in goodness, righteousness, and truth]
Find out what is acceptable to the Lord your God and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of Darkness, But rather EXPOSE them.
12] For it is shameful ever to speak of those things which are done by them in secret [mussis are changing our laws so we can’t. look at the 2 Christians in Pa. and look at the 2 Christians in Australia put in jail for speaking out]
13] But all things that are exposed are made to manifest by the light, For whatever makes manifest is light. [If it is in the light it can been seen and be dealt with]
14] Therefore he says
AWAKE, You who sleep arise from the Dead
And the Lord your God will give you light in the Darkness
6:10] Finally my Brethren be strong in the Lord your God and in the Power of his might
11] Put on the whole armor of God, That you may be able to Stand against the wiles of the Devil
13] Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to with stand in the Evil day and having done all to Stand.
16] Above all, taking the Shield of Faith with which you will be able to quench all the Fiery Darts of the Wicked ones.

Yep the Lebanonese could stop this right now by giving back the 2 kidnapped soldiers and stop the rocket attacks YET WE HAVE NOT HEARD ONE WORD FROM THEM AGAINST THE ISLAMIC TERRORIST WHY IS IT BECAUSE THEY ARE COWARDS OR IS IT THEY ARE WITH THE TERRORIST??

Remember
Exodus 21: 16
16: He who kidnaps a man-whether he has sold him or is still holding him-shall be put to deathe.

and Remember

Luke 22:35
And he said to them when I sent you without moneybag, knapsack and sandals did you lake anything: so they said Nothing then he said to them But now who has a moneybag let him take it and likewise a knapsack and he who has no sword let him sell his garments and buy one

Part of the American Tribe
Squirrel Hunter
Spider Killer
GOD BLESS THE USA AND HER FIGHTING FORCES AND ALL WHO FIGHT WITH HER ISRAEL TOO GIVE THEM STRENGTH, WISDOM, SIGHT, AND COURAGE TO DESTROY ALL ISLAMIC TERRORIST AND ALL WHO SUPPORT THEM AMEN

Why "in disguise"?

Posted by: Hugh, During one of Rush's radio shows last week, he mentioned that point,in that what the Israeli military were doing, they were doing the work of the west, Europeans,American, by killing off Hezbollah, they will do what is necessary. "in disquise" also l took it as what was good for Israel, is good for the rest of the world. Rush also said this was best opportunity to clear out terrorist, send them back packing to Syria/Iran, for those who survived. I enjoy listening to Rush, while l work, he is a very positive person, and somethings that seem pessimistic, he can bring out the positive points, therefore another meaning for in disguise.

Zena/Lulu

Rush is normally brilliant, and disects the Left perfectly. I just wish he'd be as bright about Islam, but he sees them as another enemy of the left, and is only to happy to take their sides. A key example of it was the Dubai Ports deal, where, because the Dems were so solidly opposed to it (with some exceptions, like Clinton), Rush had to be perhaps the only talk host to support it. I used to enjoy him, but I let my Limbaugh letter subscription lapse this year, due to day after day after day after day of nothing about the Islamic threat. At best, he delivers the right points about things like Gitmo and Israel, but for completely wrong reasons.

I really wish Rush would discover the truth about Islam some day - his analysis about Liberals matches Hugh's analysis about Muslims. We could use a someone like him on our side. On the other hand, these days, from the frequent number of vacations he takes, one gets the feeling that he's no longer enjoying this role. And for this ex-dittohead, the feeling is mutual.

Since it hasn't been posted anywhere, an interesting article on Amir Peretz - former Peace Now peacenik, current Defense Minister.

Don't you love it when Leftists are forced into such roles, whether they want it or not, and end up getting condemned by their political bases? (Although I thought that he was more the Hisradut boss battling Bibi the Finance Minister, than he was an Yossi Sarid or Simone Peres.)

And i pray for the jihadis ... and for lebanon, syria, iran and iraq ... May ALLAH give them the strength.
In history Arab did co-exist with Jews ... if u remember chirstain threw them out of europe... we dont have problem with isreal, if it returns the area of palestine before the war of 1967. Everyone is willing to live happy. if west cares so much , why dont they take back the jews back into europe.

Infidel Pride, the ports deal has been my main disagreement with Rush. just listening to him this afternoon he has said more against islamist, and saying that it is more dangerous than the communists, as it is more difficult to criticize a religion. l think most on the right, know and or learning very fast about Islam. l have sent Rush so many posts.. including many from Hugh to his website, where l am a paid subscriber, as l have sent to other concervative talk show hosts. Rush has always backed Israel so he has been mostly consistent. this port thing though did get under my skin. but others like Sean Hannity, Laura, Savage, were all against the port deal. And Rush to his credit has always insisted in order to get peace, one side has to totally defeat the other side, otherwise it creeps up.

Zena

I happened to catch Rush today, and you are right. He talked about Hizbullah not targetting Israeli tanks, and noted that one doesn't get 72 virgins by blowing up tanks, but by killing innocent Jews. No, I don't have any issues with him re: Israel, but he seems to belong to the school that thinks that Osama, Nasrallah, Ahmadinejad, Assad et al are distorting Islam. In other words, the anti-Islamofascist crowds. I don't pretend to be at one with them. I am anti-Islamic, period.

So did Rush ever respond to you about what he thinks about Hugh's proposal to encourage a civil war within dar ul Islam, particularly Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, et al?

Posted by: Infidel Pride [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 24, 2006 3:57 PM

Infidel Pride, l have been sending articles from this website everyweek, and no l have not heard back from anyone of Rush's people. all l know is that Rush is more open about islam hehind most of the terrorist atrocities. l think the learning curve is improving for many who should know better.

Kurtz,
I did read most of Susan Silsby Boyle's biog of George Antonius. It's almost as good as watching the Jay Leno show. I didn't write a full, academic review of it, but I did record some of my impressions. Here is my blog entry on George Antonius [which may irritate some JW/DW readers, though I hope not], including a reading list on Antonius and my comments on Susan S Boyle's book:
