Car bombings kill more than 60 in Iraq

Sunni-Shi'ite Jihad Update from AP:

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Bombs exploded Sunday in Baghdad and the northern oil center of Kirkuk, killing more than 60 people and dramatically escalating tension as the prime minister left for Washington for talks on reversing the country's slide toward civil war.
The blasts occurred as Iraqi forces and the U.S.-led coalition mounted a major crackdown on the country's most feared Shiite militia, the Mahdi Army, blamed by Sunnis for many of the sectarian kidnappings and killings that threaten to tear the country apart.
[...]
The Baghdad bombing occurred Sunday when a suicide driver detonated a minivan in the Mahdi Army stronghold of Sadr City at the entrance to the Jameelah market, which was packed with shoppers and vendors on the first day of the Iraqi workweek.
An Iraqi army statement said 34 people were killed and 73 were wounded. Eight more people were killed and 20 wounded when a second bomb exploded two hours later at a municipal government building in Sadr City, the Iraqi army said.
In Kirkuk, a car bomb detonated at midday near a courthouse in the city market district, killing 20 and wounding more than 150, according to police Brig. Gen. Sarhat Qadir. It was the fourth car bombing this month in Kirkuk, where tensions are rising among Arabs, Kurds and Turkomen for control of the area's vast oil wealth.

Where's the non-stop coverage of the "humanitarian crisis"?

It seems many more civilians die from car bombs in Iraq than from Israeli attacks in Lebanon (about half of which are hizbollah but not reported as such by Lebanese government).

"Car bombings kill more than 60 in Iraq"

We've been subjected to that sort of headline of mass indiscriminate slaughter by Muslims against Muslims for years now. It would stand to reason that we've taken certain lessons from these repetitive headlines, lessons which figure prominently in our attitudes towards what is happening with regards to Hezbollah and their human shields in Lebanon today.

The Muslims marching all over the world protesting the several hundred deaths in Lebanon (mostly Hezbollah themselves or their willing human sheilds) are a joke. BTW, the deaths are mostly Hezbollah as even the BBC acknowledges:

http://israelnn.com/news.php3?id=108122

Where are the large scale Muslim protests against the Muslims killing Muslims in Iraq, in Darfur, in Pakistan? Heck, there have probably been an equal number of "honor" killings of Muslims murdering their own wives and children and sisters throughout the world in the very same time span that Israeli's have killed the Muslims in Lebanon that the whole world is freaking out over.

This entire notion of Muslims holding up their dead at the hands of Israeli's and crying and beating their chests for the gullible western press is a joke. Muslims have no regard for human life whatsoever. They have barely a jot more regard for Muslim life than they have for infidel life (which as we infidels all know is utterly worthless).

Anyone who has been paying any attention to the daily news for the past few years knows this.

And anyone who knows this will not be manipulated by Hezbollah's tactics of putting their own women and children in the line of fire so that they can hold up their dead women and children before the cameras and pretend that they give a damn about their deaths.

Sorry guys. Ain't gonna work no more. That's the very essence of the terrorism we intend to defeat. Terrorist groups hiding behind states who deny culpability for their actions. And individual mujahideen hiding behind civilians and trotting out the resultant casualties and trying to manipulate the western press into making westerners feel guilty for those deaths.

Press on Israel. Do what you got to do. A rather significant percent of the world is on to the Muslim game and is behind you 100%.

Regarding Lebanon, I heard today a Middle East Expert (tm) saying how beneficial it would be to have UN peacekeepers come into Lebanon. The UN forces could then include soldiers from Islamic nations, since Islamic jihadists would not attack fellow Muslim soldiers.

This attack, along with thousands of previous attacks, shows anyone with a few working synapses the wisdom of that plan.

In Afgan a Muslim suicide-bomber murdered 2 canadians and yet back in canada Muslims focused on how bad Israel is for the death of a few Lebanese that held dual-citizenship for Lebanon/Canada .
The media report indicated a pro-Hezbollah stance and the crowd cheered when a un-offical news item claimed Hezbollah killed 20+ IDF's within Lebanon .

These are really sick people and it's obvious that non-Muslims in Canada have a well-founded fear of suicide bombers on our Subway trains and Buses, no matter how many Muslims are caught filming public building and Train station it is always deemed as Racial-profiling and Islamophobia.

Keep it up. Don't let us discourage you.

Peacekeepers from Islamic nations in Leb?

Oh yes, please do send them.
Disregard the fact that the soldiers would probably be Sunnis.
Disregard the fact that Hisbollocks are Shiites.
They get along so well together...when it comes to killing Jews.

I'm quite sure the Israelis would be thrilled by even more Arabs/mohammedans on their border carrying guns.
"We don't have enough! Please, oh please, dear UN, send us some more! How about a battalion of Revolutionary Guard?"

One poster posted that we were too 'happy' when such blasts happened in iraq. That we were putting off lurkers, that we came across as a hate site. I have been thinking for the past few days what am I supposed to feel. Why should I feel guilty if a muslim of whatever sect blew up other muslims of whatever sect ? In iraq, in pakistan, or wherever. Should I post messages of bereavement ? For these killers of unsurpassed cruelty of mankind worldwide ? Should I be 'human' even as these zombies (I think they are beyond animals) kill thousands worldwide, even as I type this. So, arrived at this conclusion.

:)

muslims blowing up other muslims. It's what they do best.
They are giving us ample opportunities to be happy, to celebrate
the fact that in their deep comapssion they are sending their beloved brothers to meet the 72 whatevers.
No guilt here.

An alternative comment is

It's the will of Allah
or
Allah Ta'ala knows best
Since this is consistent with Muslim reactions, there's no reason it should come across as hateful. And if it does, ;-) (Sorry, Hugh, sometimes there's nothing as pithy as a smiley)

I am extremely happy. Aren't the followers of the world's worst creed exterminating themselves ?

There is an old adage that evils destroy one another. In this case it is Shia and Sunni creeds, and, of course the larger creed of Islam.

There is also an old adage that virtues complement one another. Isn't it time for the non-muslims to gang up ?

islam is the religion for cowards, that is the only explanatin l can come up with. going into an area to kill civilians, and blow yourself up is the mark of true cowardice. you have a whole culture of cowardice, these islamic arab countries will never openly challenge Israel, not when they have thier surrogates, hesbollah, hammas.

I have no doubt, Caroline, that more Shi`ites have been murdered in Iraq at the hands of fellow Arab/Muslims since Israel's operation began in Lebanon than have been killed by Israeli forces.

One of the points we should stress is that Nasrallah and Iran and Syria DO NOT BELIEVE in human rights, period. They believe that Muslims have superior rights to non-Muslims. At best, they believe in the Islamic Declaration of Human Rights which was meant to obviate the UN's Universal Declrtn of HR.

Now, getting back to mass slaughter. Note how little attention the mass murder of about 200 people in Mumbai about 12 days ago has been forgotten. Where is the UN's concern to eliminate the causes of such murders, to protect the poor civilians of Mumbai, to defend their human rights, etc? What about the poor, dear sweet civilian infrastructure in Mumbai? Those poor railroad cars? They were wantonly destroyed by a brutal enemy!!! But since that enemy was not Israel, the EU is not interested, nor is the UK, the former imperial power ruling India. All victims are equal but some are more equal than others.

I myself believe that kim Howells and Kofi Annan and terry larsen and louise arbour and jan egeland should show their true mettle and go to south Lebanon and give some of those poor wounded bridges a decent burial, if the UN's healers cannot help them. The poor poor infrastructure!! Let's all weep!!

Good Morning all,

It occured to me as I watched the interviews of the Lebanese "civilians" on TV last night that they support Hezabollah because Hezabollah gave them heavy social services support. I then realized that the Muslims would support anyone who gave them everything, much like the welfare recepients in the USA supporting the Democrats. And if their benefactors hated the Israelies and hated the American capitalist ideals on which America has Thrived then it is better. Just a thought I had.

I agree with the other posters that Muslims do not care about anyone even themselves. They value death and therefore you see no Muslim outrage from any Muslim state run country regarding Muslim on Muslim violence. When Muslims die at the hands of Muslims it appears to be the infidels fault; when Muslims die at the hands of Muslims you do not see mass protests against the real killers, you do see protests against America, Israel and other infidel entities.

Islam is a death cult bent on world domination, their fevor may well result in world destruction.

You can rest assured, Israel already has nuclear targets plotted and that a Nuclear or missile attack from Iran or anyone else (remember Iran has other Islamic stooge countries to do their bidding)may be all that is needed to ensure that Nuclear retaliation would be immediate.

I think a great way to undermine the Iranian regime would be to support the various Anti-Iranian groups that exist in Iran at this time. These groups are well known and are violently held in check by Muslim thugs in charge. Sometimes these groups openly protest the policies of the current regime and these protests clearly are upsetting to Ahmadinejad and his mob. Iran could be toppled from within with a little support and encouragement from the outside.
Throughout history Muslim rulers have been overthrown by Muslim people from within.

Just a thought.

It is time to take Bagdad in a Nasrala type of door to door attack, searching every room in the city. Root out the evil and seize weapons.
It would be bloody, but unless you just bomb the city to ground level it may be necessary. The only other option is to just leave.
