Sunni-Shi'ite Jihad Update from AP:
BAGHDAD, Iraq - A suicide bomber detonated a belt of explosives near a highly revered Shiite shrine in southern Iraq Thursday, killing at least 35 people and injuring 122, an official said.
The bomber blew himself up while being patted down by policemen near the Imam Ali mosque in the Shiite holy city of Najaf, said Dr. Munthir al-Ithari, the head of the city's health directorate.
Shiite religious leaders in Najaf accused Sunni loyalists of former dictator Saddam Hussein of carrying out the attack.
"We hold Takfiris (Sunni extremists) and Saddamists directly responsible for this horrible crime ... at the same time we hold those who embrace terrorism in Iraq and the countries supporting it as responsible," the statement said.
Takfiris, literally translated, are "excommunicators," those who declare other Muslims to be unbelievers.
The Iraqi army said the death toll was 35, with 122 injured.

CAN a law be passed in Iraq requiring all people to be naked and no cars allowed?
Probably not, We should encircle and lay seige to Bagdad, then proceed to go house to house searching every nook and cranny. Confiscate all weapons, move the people out and place some contaminant that would absolutely cause something bad to happen to anyone occurs.
This Bagdad, what a festering ****hole.

I’m sure this has been noticed by many others before, but apparently when Muslims have nothing to do, and have no Americans and Jews to kill, they turn the violence inwards to themselves.
I’m not sure if we ought to be believing this to be “sectarian violence”, yet another of those euphemistic labels used by the media and politicians, along with “Crisis in the Middle East”, “Iraq in Transition”, “War on Terror”, and so forth. At best, it is a thirst for blood sanctioned by religious scripture.
(And we all know what the “At worst” is…)

What really gets me is that if President Bush
had actually left Iraq at about the time he
said "Mission accomplished!" it would have been
brilliant.

a while ago, when he gave proposed a SOTU address
for the Pres. which would say in essence, "we're
outta here, hope you become civilized, but it's
your choice, and if you screw with us again we'll pummel you.".

There has been a lot of international whining and handwringing over the past month for the poor Lebanese civilian jihad warriors of hizbullah. Who are Shi`ite Muslims. However, in the same period of time many more Shi'ites have been murdered in Iraq by their fellow Muslims, the Sunnis, than have been killed by Israeli actions in Lebanon. Why is the blood of the Lebanese Shi`ites redder than that of the Iraqi Shi`ites, whom the "international community" does not seem to care about?

all is silent when muslims kill other muslims, its their right, but you cant have "Israelis defend their country and kill Hezbollah,Hammas"..oh well stand back till Iraq is almost empthy, let ChristianIraqis take over with the Kurds to the north.
