With this kind of hardware -- including Katyusha rockets and mortar shells -- the Shi'ites of southern Iraq and their Iranian backers were gearing up for something big: A war for secession? From Iran Focus:
Baghdad, Aug. 16 - An array of weapons made in Iran were discovered in Iraq’s southern port city of Um Qasr, the Iraqi television channel al-Zora reported on Monday.
In the weapons cache were hundreds of Katyusha rockets and mortar shells as well as several thousand light arms, the report said, adding that the weapons had all been manufactured in neighbouring Iran.
The weapons were discovered in the city’s al-Hora district, it said.
Um Qasr, the country’s largest deepwater port city, is close to the city of Basra which Iraqi officials say has become a hub for agents of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

Can we send Iran something "Made in America"?

I would say that one of the Bagdad terrorists supply lines have been discovered. Have you noticed the terrorists in Bagdad never run low on explosives or ammo. Either there is a huge ammos depot in Bagdad or they are being resupplied regularly.
Many thanks to those who found and seized the weapons. I hope you are able to slow down the flow of arms.

Pyongyang Deepens Tehran Ties With Suspected Arms Exports

The Wall Street Journal

Late last year, a freighter from North Korea docked at the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf to make a special delivery. Its cargo, senior U.S. and Asian officials say: more than a dozen intermediate-range ballistic missiles.
It was the first of at least two shipments of one of the newest missiles in the North Korean arsenal, U.S. officials say. The arms were adapted from a Soviet-era weapon, known in the West as the SS-N-6 and originally designed to launch nuclear warheads from submarines.
And there are those dolts around that claim Iran does not have the ability to deliver nuclear weapons---bah, they have had the capability for well over a year.
Now just what type of warhead is placed on these missiles and just where are these missiles pointed?
Any rocket scientists out there?

I suspect something much more sinister here than Iran simply supplying the insurgents.
I ran across a Shi-ite blog board about a week ago and they were talking about the appearance of the 12th (hidden)Imam and where he was supposed to appear.
They said that he was to appear in Southern Iran, gather an army together and then invade Southern Iraq and go to war there and then move north to Syria.
I cannot recall the name of the city in southern Iraq that they were supposed to attack.
Then just recently we saw thousands of Shi'ites marching in Iraq. Ready and willing to fight.
Folks, if 'the monkey' is serious in Iran, and if he is hell-bent on creating world chaos to bring the return of the 12th Imam on the 22nd of August, then he will be working hard between now and then.
I suspect this shipment was for the ARMY in Southern Iraq that was going to join up with the invading Iranian army and its 12th Imam leader.
I still say we need to get our kids out of Iraq and drop the mushroom on Persia. Sorry, but if you leave any of them, they will just grow up to be enemies. You have to get rid of them or you will never have peace. Sounds harsh, but I'm sad to say it is true.

Why don't our so called leaders make Iran directly responsible for the war that they are waging against us and the Israelis. British troops are under attack from Iranians in Basra, they have been taken hostage like the Israelis by Republican guards. British and US and other Coalition forces have come under attack by Iranians, they are behind the Mahdi Army and other Shia militias, they fund Sunni terrorists. Hezbollah is to all intents and purposes part of the Iranian army.
It's like Britian being under attack by the Luftwaffe based in France decides not to attack Germany directly but restrict operations to within the perimeter fences of the captured French airbases.
We need to tackle the disease, not the symptoms one by one. We need to take out the Muslim apologists over in our own countries, capture or kill and blitz the enemy wherever we may find them. Give the b******s a strong dose of their own medicine for a change.
