British Jihad Update from the BBC, with thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist:
Police investigating an alleged plot to bring down airliners have found several martyrdom videos in the course of their searches, the BBC has learned. An unofficial police source said the recordings - discovered on laptop computers - appear to have been made by some of the suspects being questioned....
It is believed up to 17 people are being held in Pakistan over the alleged plot - with two British nationals of Pakistani descent among them.
Scotland Yard officers have also flown to Pakistan to liaise with the authorities there over the questioning of Rashid Rauf, the only man who has so far been named by Pakistani authorities.

I've been saying for months that something big was in the offing, just lucky they caught it when they did.
I'm not convinced they caught them all or they still have something in the works. With the FBI getting false positives in explosives tests and even a bomb sniffing dog twigging to explosives.

One thing they're not reporting is that one of the tapes was made by Mike Wallace.

No doubt there will be those screaming for the suspects being “innocent before proven guilty”, and that they were targeted only because of their religion.
However, sometimes even an observer who tries hard to be objective cannot help keeping a straight face at the stupidity of jihadists to leave behind incriminating evidence themselves.

In Germany two stations of major cities in the country have been closed down by police this week-end.
This morning the central railway station of Kiel in northern Germany was shut down for 5 hours. Train passengers reported seeing 2 men lying handcuffed near the rail tracks surrounded by security forces. One of the arrested men was the Lebanese who had been sought by police in connection with the failed bomb suitcases placed on trains in Cologne three weeks ago. The arrested suspect arrived in Germany in September 2004, and is a student of “Mechatronics” living in a dormitory.
And right now the central train station of Hamburg, a large German city is shut down due to a bomb alarm.

"No doubt there will be those screaming for the suspects being “innocent before proven guilty”, and that they were targeted only because of their religion."
I've being hearing this on our media every day since the start, mainly from Muslim lawyers, also from the lefties.
It's all the fault of the foreign policy, you see...

The attempted attack on innocent Germans in Hamburg was, I believe, a "protest" by Muslims who are angry at the situation in the Lebanon.
Israeli Jews have enough of Muslim Kidnappers and suicide bombers so they try to blow up European Christians who wanted to stay out of the situation In Iraq...
Right. The logic of these people is almost as idiotic as the pathetic book they base their belief system on, there, said it.
Who needs crack cocaine when you have Islam eh?

Shia worshippers are flocking to a Baghdad shrine amid special security measures including a two-day ban on vehicles in the Iraqi capital
..........
Correspondents report that Mehdi Army militiamen, loyal to the radical Shia cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, were providing protection for some groups of pilgrims.
The seven pilgrims killed on Friday night were attacked in a Sunni suburb.
The BBC's Mike Wooldridge in Baghdad says the authorities have warned pilgrims not to accept food or drink from people they do not know or trust.
The US military has deployed thousands of extra troops in Baghdad in recent weeks as part of a new security drive ordered by Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri Maliki.
On 31 August last year, mortars were fired at the mosque housing Imam Musa Kadhim's tomb and rumours spread of possible suicide bombers.
In the ensuing stampede, almost 1,000 pilgrims died - the highest death toll on a single day since the 2003 war that toppled Saddam Hussein. Many of the dead were women and children

'An unofficial police source said the recordings - discovered on laptop computers - appear to have been made by some of the suspects being questioned....'
So will the suspects claim that the recordings were
a) made as a joke
b) made by someone else, not the accused
c) planted by the infidel police
d) planted by the Israeli secret police
e) some other weak excuse.

Remember when they tried the girl for a telephone call encouraging her brother to go through with his sucide bombing in Isreal?
When she was a working supply teacher, the day after 9/11 she asked her class - "Have you got relatives in New York? Well there dead!" and told them "Osama Bin Laden is a great hero!"
Britains "leading civil rights lawyer" defended her. He managed to get these innocent remarks excluded from the evidence and she was aquitted.

On a regular BBC radio phone-in programme , this afternoon, two callers brought up the subject of Churchill's internment of enemy aliens in 1940. This particular programme usually offers a reasonable guide to the range of UK opinions on a given topic - opinions seen to be extreme are usually result in the call being hurriedly dealt with and got off air. In these two cases the callers were treated as having reasonable cases to be given a fair hearing. Just a straw in the wind, I suppose.

you can't believe how much satisfaction the rolling up of this terror cell has given me.
1. The British police are not soft or holding back on arresting when evidence has been gathered.
2. Martyr videos are the best possible refutation for Muslims claiming that an arrested person is innocent.

Of course, that doesnt stop Islam's useful idiots from dismissing the plot as yet another Blair-Bush hoax:

Chemicals found in water bottle on United Airlines flight
NEW YORK (CNN) -- An Aquafina water bottle with a suspicious green liquid inside was found aboard a Denver-bound United Airlines flight at Newark Liberty International Airport, a state law enforcement source said Saturday.
Initial tests revealed that the fluid, which was discovered by a cleaning crew, contained five chemicals no longer allowed on flights, including hydrogen peroxide, the law enforcement official told CNN. Since an alleged terror plot was discovered by British police two weeks ago, British and American passengers are prohibited from carrying liquids aboard planes, including water.
The bottle found Saturday was discovered on Flight 503 after the passengers deplaned, said a United Airlines spokesman. The liquid was undergoing further testing by New Jersey state officials. After a delay, the plane continued on to Denver. (Posted 4:45 p.m.)

We can expect that the human fingerprint and origin of Islam will become transparant. At the same time, militant Muslims, seeking deliberate escape into a parallel universe, will contiunue to believe in the fantasy of divine origin, paradise, and Allah’s reward for jihad service.

Beginning in the third century, the Syrian Christians did not limit themselves to bringing their evangelical mission to nearby countries, like Armenia or Persia. They pressed on toward distant territories, all the way to the borders of China and the western coast of India, in addition to the entire Arabian peninsula all the way to Yemen and Ethiopia. It is thus rather probable that, in order to proclaim the Christian message to the Arabic peoples, they would have used among others the language of the Bedouins, or Arabic. In order to spread the Gospel, they necessarily made use of a mishmash of languages. But in an era in which Arabic was just an assembly of dialects and had no written form, the missionaries had no choice but to resort to their own literary language and their own culture; that is, to Syro-Aramaic. The result was that the language of the Koran was born as a written Arabic language, but one of Arab-Aramaic derivation.
The Quran is derived from a Syro-Aramaic lectionary, with hymns and Biblical extracts, created for use in Christian services. This lectionary was translated into Arabic as a missionary effort. It was not meant to start a new religion, but to spread an older one, i.e.,borrowings from Syriac, Latin and Middle Persian into Arabic.
The Qur'an was not originally written in Arabic but in Syriac, the dominant spoken and written language in the Arabian peninsula through the 8th century. A notable trait of Syriac which would later form into Arabic was that the script lacked vowel signs or diacritic points which would later distinguish b, t, n, y, etc and thus was prone to misinterpretation of meaning, particularly on the part of semi-illiterate Arabian interpreters. Thus the Arabs tribes of the 8th century were not able to correctly decipher the original script of the Qur'an, from the written manuscripts, and gave philologically erroneous meaning to ambiguously difficult passages of the manuscripts.
According to Islamic tradition, the Koran dates back to the 7th century, while the first examples of Arabic literature in the full sense of the phrase are found only two centuries later, at the time of the 'Biography of the Prophet'; that is, of the life of Mohammed as written by Ibn Hisham, who died in 828. We may thus establish that post-Koranic Arabic literature developed by degrees, in the period following the work of al-Khalil bin Ahmad , who died in 786, the founder of Arabic lexicography kitab al-ayn, and of Sibawayh, who died in 796, to whom the grammar of classical Arabic is due. Now, if we assume that the composition of the Koran was brought to an end in the year of the Prophet Mohammed´s death, in 632, we find before us an interval of 150 years, during which there is no trace of Arabic literature worthy of note.
At that time, there were no Arab schools - except, perhaps, for the Christian centers of al-Anbar and al-Hira, in southern Mesopotamia, or what is now Iraq. The Arabs of that region had been Christianized and instructed by Syrian Christians. Their liturgical language was Syro-Aramaic. And this was the vehicle of their culture, and more generally the language of written communication.
The term huri, traditionally interpreted by Islamic commentators to mean the wide-eyed virgins reward promised to the faithful in paradise in suras 44:54, 52:20 ,55:72, 56:22 actually translates to white grapes, this being one of the symbolic elements of the Christian paradise commonly represented in Christian murals in the region in the first 6 centuries of the millennium. The interpretive errors are probably connected to the male monopoly in Qur'anic commentary and interpretation
The command for a woman to cover herself is actually a call to "snap their belts around their waists" Sura 24.
Rather than being the "seal" of the prophets , Muhammad was the "witness of the prophets" , one who bears witness to established Judeo-Christian texts. Sura 33

The NYT shrieks: Pakistan Must Be Kept Onside
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/20/opinion/20armitage.html
The NYT are pro-European Atlanticists. They want Pakistan kept onside because they know it was Pak-jihadis in Afghanistan who saved Europe from having to fight the Red Army.
That strategy of cultivating Islam as a proxy force to keep the Great Moscow Satan at bay, is one the Atlanticists still dote on. This is why they need Pakistan to point like a dagger at the Russian underbelly.
The Atlanticists realize all too well that Pakistan is teetering in a very fragile state, and that if support is cut, it could quickly disintegrate into its truer virulently Islamist non-PC roots. Dr Pakyll and Mr jiHyde.
That transformation would completely tear Pak away from the West, and badly damage the Atlanticist dream of keeping Pak as a dagger to point at the Russian bear. That's why the truth must be suppressed at all costs.
Good daggers are so hard to find.

Great idea. You see a Muslim in the boarding area, you go to the airline agent and state that the Muslim passengr(s) make you uncomfortable and ask to be put on a different plane. Make sure you speak loudly enough to be heard by other passengers.

Just wondering: if it is not halal to worship images, and these bombers are considered martyrs, wouldn't it be not halal to make and/or view images of "martyrs"? Another islamo contradiction, or am I being too technical?
Besides, if I'm right, the penalty would be death, and they've already paid the penalty (in most cases).

And the 9/11 atrocity killed more Brits than what the 7/7 atrocity did - 67 as against 52 - a fact which seems to have escaped the tiny minds of those who shrill for Bin Laden. To defend a West-hating bigot like this supply teacher is the lowest of the low. Anyone who made similar remarks about the Blitz in 1940/41 could well have been hanged for these remarks.

THe thugs neighbors, when interviewed, all professed innocense while proclaiming Islam is peaceful.
Seems like they are following the party guidelines. LIE LIE LIE.
If you say the lie often enough, it appears to become the truth.
Some, like the dhimmis, Move on Org types, and moonbats of all descriptions believe the lie.
Let us all spread the truth and wage the valiant fight against the Islamic terror we encounter today.

Everyone's getting so mad about Islam that we're not thinking straight. That's part of their game with the incidents to deliberately create suspicion. Do it long and often enough and people become habituated to it, and before you know it people are doing no more than rolling their eyes when it happens. Once that starts happening ... one day it wont be one that's armed with nothing more serious than camel breath. Could be we're being deliberately habituated so we'll eventually drop our guard. Habituation = Security risk.
Also, could be that while everyone's attention is on the one creating the anxiety, someone else is getting through with less attention than
they'd normally attract. Distraction = security risk (how else do you think illusionists pull off their tricks?).
Carrying minute traces of dangerous substances. Two purposes to this - find out what is and isn't being checked for, and what kinds of containers are being checked, and forms of those substances that are recognised or otherwise detected.
Are these all dummy runs to see what they can and can't get away with. Imagine:
These sorts of incidents, such as the doctor (any other moslems on the passenger manifest for that flight? Male? Female?), or the Brits flying home from Spain? After a few months of it, we get used to it (and get tired of being vilified for making a fuss), so when there's a particularly - loud? - incident, we don't even notice the quiet young Woman Jihadi boarding the same flight at the same time.... and we're getting a bit casual now about equipment or dog warnings about particular substances being detected - and anyway, nobody wants to make too much fuss and do too thorough a search because ... yes, that's right, we're tired of being villified by the media when we do this sort of stuff - and after all, doesn't it just keep happening and nothing wrong is ever found?
If you're paranoid enough you can imagine all sorts of suspicions about what's happening and why.
But don't let anyone tell you there's anything wrong with a nice healthy bit of paranoia. Ever heard the saying "only the paranoid survive"?
Like all good cynicism there's a truth behind it. Imagine two caveman kids. One just wanders around blithely without a care in the world; not a trace of paranoia. The other a paranoid little little git, always wondering what might be hiding behind that rock. Which one do you think is likely to survive to reproduce and pass on his genes, and which one do you think is likely to soon be dinner for something big with teeth that likes hanging about behind rocks?
Over a lot of people over a lot of time, a healthy bit of paranoia gets bred into the gene pool. But we're getting so damned mad at these people we're overriding that paranoia.
You think the enemy isn't thinking? They're not living their lives in a permanent livid rage - anybody going to say that Atta didn't go about what he - they - did without a cool professional approach? They're not stupid. Indeed, they are the cleverest of them. They're not cowards, but very brave men and women - it takes nerve to go and beard the lion (Bald Eagle?) in his den. And - this one you already know: they are DEDICATED.
As long as we keep underestimating them they will keep running rings around us. as long as we keep getting so mad we only feel, instead of think, they'll keep running rings around us.
Get paranoid instead of just mad. And, as the moslems keep insisting: show some respect. They are determined, brave, resourceful, clever people. Those two are the only way to go if we are to keep our casualties down, and if we are to win.
And with that lunatic paranoid rant I'm logging off and going to bed - it's nearly 01:00 here in Britland.
If anyone wants to pick a fight with me over what I've just said - I'll take a look in on this thread tomorrow.
PS I spent eight years of my life flying in and out of Gulf countries. I NEVER ONCE saw anyone praying loudly during either boarding or in-flight - that covers airports at Muscat, Salalah, Bahrein, Doha, Riyadh Dubai ... So why now, and why here in the West.
More paranoia, more more more. C'mon, more. Think!
