I say let's have even more fun with the Iranian leaders!

Iran imports 33% of it's Gasoline.

Cut off both Ahmadinejad's petrol and natural gas exports to say less than 10%, destroy his ability to make gasoline and prevent import of any gasoline and also take out his Nuclear sites.

This cuts Oil exports to China and India for a bit, but that will shake them up to get involved.

A week or two of precision bombing should do the trick with minimal casualties and Iran will get the Stone Age lifestyle the pure Islamo's always wanted.

I think another Iranian Revolution would start rather quickly.

For anyone who has read their WWII history, I am beginning to see more and more eerie parallels. I look more on 9/11 as our USS Rueben James - not Pearl Harbor. I see Israel more and more as the Rhineland and Czechoslavakia. There is a contest of wills here that can only end in one way.

The Iranians, and most modern muslims, have embraced a death cult. The old Cold War doctrine of MAD means nothing to them - if they win or die, it's all god to them; martyrdom or victory are equally acceptable. They will not hesisitate to strike because they do not believe there will be a reprisal. The West must react to any strike on Israel with an overwhelming, disproportinate use of force. We cannot block them and hem them in as we did the USSR - too many of them have immigrated to /invaded our country and Europe. Obliterate them as we did to the Germans and Japanese.

As for the invaders in Europe and the US, we should learn from the British and their invention of the concentration camp and Germans and their experience with mass deportations and ship them all back to where they came from as undesirable aliens.

Without those commodities, steel and oil primarily, the Japanese invasion of China would have ground to a halt, and the Japanese knew it. That trade embargo was still being negotiated when the Japanese attacked.

Hmmm. Stategically speaking, wouldn't Iran want to hit the US first, and then hit Israel? If a murderer/rapist breaks into a home with the intention of taking one or more of the females he will kill the biggest threat(strongest male) to his plan first. It seems to me that if we are hit first then there won't be much standing in the way of hitting Israel. It would be a real two-fer.

This is why I look at Israel as the modern Rhineland. The muslims want it back, claiming it was theirs before the "zionists" came (unless they lay claim as being descendants of the Edomites and Amalekites of the Old Testament- I think the Jews win the claim to title to the land). They're reading the west- and most of Israel - as being weak and lacking the nerve to come to Israel's aid in the event of a crisis. The "war" of the last month proves this absence of nerve.

I think that they think they can try to annihilate Israel with impunity and the west will do nothing for fear of upseting the flow of oil and the potential disruption of their economies.

1) Sustained energy; the allied forces are temporal but, so unfortunately, the Koran is not.

I know nothing about spelling Arabic words and names. Who cares? I turned around one day many years ago and a bunch of scholars decided that there should be a new way of spelling Chinese.
Are there any rules for spelling Arabic in English? I'll have to spell the Mad Hatter's name the only way I can remember it. There appears to be a superfluous use of the letter H anyway.

I can see Iran's first big move as an invasion of Iraq, attempting to unite the Shi'its of that country with Shi'it Persians who will then forcibly seize absolute control over the remainder, and set sights on the islamic holy shrines of Saudi Arabia.

If there weren't 140,000 American troops already in Iraq, nothing would really stand in their way.

I was worried about that until it dawned on me only 1% of our troops are seeing action, the rest are bored and would love the chance to put some smack down. Then I considered the distance and iran couldn't attack even if we gave them the fuel. Whatever the plan invading iraq is not it. I also forgot the muslim mind, thinking something true makes it so. Well the fact remains that Iran will soon get a bomb, if it does not have one already. So the only logical question is:

What will they do with it?

It surely is not for deterrence. For deterrence, you have to make sure the world knows you have it. Iran has always emphatically denied even having a program to make them. So, consequentely, logic would dictate that they only reason for Iran having a bomb is to use it.

They can give the bomb to a terrorist organization and let them use it and wash their hands of it.

A bomb is coming. I have no doubt.

If/when they get it any test would cause us to attack so it stands to reason the test would be an attack with the hope it works. If I am right they only get one chance. Realistically, I don't see the US nuking Iran if New York city gets nuked. First off, the president, probably Clinton, will call for calm. Then she will announce an investigation to fing out who did this. Then she will vow to bring the perpetrators of "this crime" to justice a la George Bush. And the terrorists behind it will be hunted down and captured. But they will be overseen by the Red Cross to make sure no abuse comes to them. We must not sink to their level, you see.

What I don't see her, or any president doing, is telling the Navy to let loose some ICBMs from a boomer sub and vaporise a few million Iranians in retaliation. I hate to say it, but no one in politics today, not Clinton, not Bush, not McCain, has the testicular fortitude to dispense with a million people at one shot. They just don't have it.

Who was it that said that leadership and eternal souls don't go well together? If you are worried about where your soul ends up, you may not be able to do what a great leader sometimes needs to do.

The U.S. should issue warrants for Ahmadinejad's arrest on the grounds that he was one of the invaders of the Tehran Embassy back in 1979, and publicly ask countries like France and Chine to detain him when he visits.
