Sudan: Editor Accused of Insulting Muhammed Is Beheaded

Watch for the cascade of condemnations of this act from CAIR and MPAC and the like. But don't hold your breath. "Sudanese mourn death of editor," by "Opheera McDoom" of the Hizballah News Agency, aka Reuters, with thanks to Twostellas:

KHARTOUM (Reuters) - A sea of white-clothed mourners laid Sudanese editor Mohamed Taha to rest on Thursday after he was kidnapped and killed by unknown armed men, raising fears of a new brand of extreme violence in Sudan.

Taha's decapitated body was found dumped on a dirt road on Wednesday. He had drawn protests from Islamic groups last year by reprinting a series of articles questioning the roots of the Prophet Mohammed.

Amid cries of "There is no God but God" and "God is Greatest", thousands attended his funeral, including government ministers who sat alongside journalists and Taha's family.

Where's Reporters Without Borders on THIS one?

Know Your Enemy,

In the same place that the publishers who featured Piss Christ were when confronted with the issue of publishing the Jyllands-Posten cartoons.

Might makes shariah right.

Again Reuters describes the founder of Islam as "Prophet Mohammed," without any sort of qualification.

For the billions of people who aren't Moslem, it is to be simply "Mohammed" or if necessary "Mr. Mohammed" or to be absolutely clear about who is being referred to "the Moslem prophet, Mohammed" or "the prophet of Islam, Mohammed." Anything else provides this historical character with a status for which, in the minds of most of humanity, he remains undeserving.

Chatillon

He's a false prophet. So I never call him prophet Muhammad. I may call him the pervy prophet. I may call him assassin. I may call him yellow bellied. I may call him Mo'. I may call him Joe. I may call him the first Jihadist. The first Islamic mass murderer

_____

You may call me Terry, you may call me Timmy,
You may call me Bobby, you may call me Zimmy,
You may call me R.J., you may call me Ray,
You may call me anything but no matter what you say

You're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody.
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody.

Robert, we take it as a given that Muslim outfits like CAIR are not going to protest this murder. But what is worse, as previous posters indicate, is that the so-called "civil rights" and "civil liberties" and "human rights" or Reporters without Borders phonies do not protest such murders. That is far more sinister. Their hypocrisy is profounder than that of CAIR which is frankly pro-Muslim. Their hypocrisy needs to be denounced and condemned.

"...raising fears of a new brand of extreme violence in Sudan."

Even if this is a slightly elevated Jihad in Sudan, though I doubt it, there is nothing new about this "Brand" at all. Just the same old stuff that most seem not see or take seriously.

TYPICAL Muslim activity--just kill all.

Posted by: exsgtbrown [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 7, 2006 11:26 AM

Oh this is some fabrication of reality by Bush and the zionist Israel I'm sure... NOT!

Islam is the religion of peace and tolerance. Just ask any Jihadi, they'll tell you!

When is enough going to be enough?

The Enemy: islam and the muslims that spread it.

The Solution: detention, forced deportation, execution.

Simple problem, pragmatic solution.

All we need to do is force our elected officials to name The Enemy and implement The Solution.

Islam can only spread if we allow muslims into our midst.

Kill 'em all. Send the corpses to Saudia Arabia.

What a pathetic excuse for a religion. What a sadly impotent, weak coward of a god who needs mere mortals to carry out his "will", which primarily consists of death.

If this were a legitimate religion, it would have answered the questions raised, or explained where they were wrong.

But instead, it's off with their heads!!!

This kind of behaviour should be driving hordes of thinking humans OUT of Islam, but the Mo-bots keep droning on. Another attack of the zombie Mo-bots goes unpunished. Any wonder why they're getting bolder and bolder?

It was obviously not Muslims who "dun it", because
the people who bombed London & the Twin Towers are "not Muslims". [Looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck, but was really a seagull in a hijab]. "Jihad" refers to a "peaceful struggle" - and if you don't believe it, the Swindon Council in the UK will send you to learn "lessons in peace" at a local mosque...

Lessons in peace
By Matt Jackson

Haji Fazal Hussain, of the Jamia Mosque, reads from the Qur'an as Gavin Jones listens

SWINDON'S politicians and council staff have learned the true meaning of Jihad at a Broad Street mosque.

More than a dozen visitors learned that it means peaceful struggle' during an Islamic awareness course yesterday.

Swindon Council chief executive Gavin Jones joined ward councillors and council staff for discussions and lectures at Broadgreen Community Centre.

[...]

Mr Tai has worked with SureStart programmes in the past, and started giving lectures in 2004 to spread the peaceful side of Islam.

He said: "The people who bombed London and the Twin Towers are not Muslims.

"We hear the word Jihad in the media as a violent word, but it actually refers to the peaceful struggle every Muslim undertakes each day."

This is not a good country for anyone named Mohammed Taha.

Is this only the second Mohammed Taha who has been executed/murdered, or are there more?

Northern Sudan should have been carpet bombed a long time ago.

Hell, the British should have razed it after the Mahdi's dervishes beheaded Gordon.

I've never met a Southern Sudanese Black that I didn't like. I've never met a slave raiding, racist, genocidal, North Sudanese "Arab" at all, but I don't need a personal introduction to understand evil.

The fanatical robots of islam will stop at nothing to impose their cult on all the rest of us. Submit or Die! It's not a pretty or complicated choice but it is effective.

Thus is islam "the world's fastest growing religion". Yes, like a malignant cancer.

I don't understand. If this man criticised Mo, why are all these government ministers attending his funeral?

Surely, they should have denounced him?

Some background:

In April, Mohamed Taha Mohamed Ahmad, chief editor of the newspaper Al Wafiq, published an article written by a well-known Islamic historian. The article examined a 500-year-old Islamic manuscript that claims Mohammed's father was not Abdullah, as Muslims traditionally believe. Taha wrote a commentary next to the article, rejecting its premises.

Not only has the newspaper has been suspended for three days, but the editor is now charged with violating a Sudanese criminal statute that prohibits insulting religion or faith. In accordance with Islamic law which has been implemented in Sudan since 1983, this offense warrants the death penalty and the chief prosecutor is asking for that sentence. A large and angry crowd gathered in front of the court carrying a banner demanding "death to the apostate". The charged journalist refused to be represented by a lawyer and is representing himself. The court postponed the hearing for one day to study papers that had been filed.

where are all the black Democrats caucus? why are they not demanding justice for enslaved black Africans and killing of black Africans by the muslim arab horde? where are the liberals from Holywood? oh they are busy bashing Bush, okay l get it.

Posted by: ZenaWarriorPrincess [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 7, 2006 7:41 PM

Well, someone has to bash Bush. He's a dangerous idiot who doesn' get it (not that any republicrats do).

If this country "stays the course", we're headed for a military take-over, martial law, and a vendetta religious war which we risk losing.

We need to follow Fitzgerald and start implementation of workable policies aimed at stemming any expansion of islam.

Right now, islam is an underdog. The media is going to play their game because of it.

We are losing or have already LOST the propaganda war.

Bush has got to get the heave-ho and FAST.

If Religion Wins, We All Lose.

Hey, KeepItSimple,

You sound like every other liberal idiot on tv,

You should work for John(I'm a kept man)Kerry!!

Posted by: p8triot [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 7, 2006 11:09 PM

KeepItSimple I see things different than you, and likely, more accurately than you:

1. Islam has been waging war on us since Muhammad invented it.

2. The policies are still no where close to completing their jobs, and no conclusions can be made of them yet.

3. I don’t sense the media shows Islam as an underdog, but I do sense they try to dissociate terrorism with Islam, like the president.

4. The only propaganda war being won by them is with their fellow blind followers of Islam, many of them desiring to live the Christian lifestyle, while seeking to deny others rights and advocating the ways of Islam, a totalitarian system.

5. The rights Westerners so enjoy today has been brought to you by religion, particularly the Christian faith; while the lack thereof, has brought so much misery, restrictions, and anger in the Communist world, and the Islamic world. Many are trying to undo what Christianity has done, be it through denial, misdirection, or bad-mouthing.

Will someone in the media stand up and condemn this--this is murder of one of their own, someone who exemplified "freedom of speech." What does Katie Couric think? What about Christiane Amanpour? Where are the supposed heiresses of Oriana Fallaci on this? I'll tell you where; cowering in their panties, messing up their lipstick. For all the "courage" these Western media types claim to have, none, not even the tough men like Dan Rather will condemn this.
