Attacks on Yemen oil plants kill 5

Oil Weapon Update from AP:

SAN`A, Yemen - Suicide bombers tried to strike two oil facilities in Yemen with explosives-packed cars, but authorities foiled the attacks and four bombers and a security guard were killed, the government said Friday.

The attempts came ahead of this week's presidential elections, in which President Ali Abdullah Saleh faces a serious challenge for the first time since he became head of state in 1978.

They also came days after al-Qaida's No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahri, issued a videotaped threat of attacks on the Persian Gulf and on facilities he blamed for stealing Muslim oil.

There's a constant theme developing in this islamic quest to dominate the world, if the jihadists are not thwarted they're feeble attempts fail miserably. I dont think there's much to worry about and the illogical garbage we always hear and read about is directing more and more people to investigate for themselves what this M.A.D. religion represents...

Mr. Spencer and others... I have included a link to a story out of Michigan from September 10...
YEMENI MAN HELD ON WEAPONS CHARGE
He had a knife hidden in a carved out phone book and had a one way ticket to Yemen because he was "getting married"....CONNECTED TO THIS ATTACK?

From the Religion of Peace website:

While Western religion strives to make the world a better place, the goal of Islam is nothing more than Islam. In its history, there have been no contributions of significance toward science and knowledge. Its greatest cultural achievements have been to arbitrarily preserve what is borrowed from conquered peoples, be it African coffee or Hindu mathematics. Every technology that Muslims use today was developed in the West, including the cell phones and airplanes that their most devoted followers periodically turn into instruments of destruction.

Neither is there a legacy of hospitals or missions from a religion that is based on an archaic code of ethics providing rules for beating women and waging war, but none for helping those outside the faith. Certainly there was no abolition movement in the Islamic world, where slavery persists to this day.

The most impressive humanitarian accomplishment that Muslims can boast of is that not every infidel was put to death when the Jihad swept through the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe in earlier centuries. At least some of those who agreed to live in humiliation and complete subjugation were spared the sword. Some were even required to hand over their children to military service and forced conversion.

Clearly Islam isn’t like other religions. It doesn’t have the same history, the same goals, or the same morality. It does not inspire compassion and it shuns introspection. It is the most susceptible to violence and the least open to dialogue. It demands the very respect from others that it is unwilling to allow those over whom it has power.

(This isn't to say that there aren’t decent people who are Muslim, indeed there are plenty, but it is more in spite of Islam rather than because of it – an allegiance to a higher standard of ethics that transcends Muhammad’s harsh rules for 7th century survival).

Unfortunately, the nature of Western religion and the gods of multiculturalism seduce us into believing that all religions have the same ethical regard (or disregard) for human life and respect for liberal values. In our minds – and only in our minds – we contrive moral equivalence between cultures, religions and events that are in fact very distinct from one another, merely because doing so provides a sense of personal superiority.

Islam will never be a religion of peace until Muslims decide to make it so by taking responsibility. Until this happens, we must ensure the physical security and intellectual freedom of our children and grandchildren by having the courage to think critically and independently, seeing Islam for what it really is – rather than what we wish it would be."

The Muslims are now beginning to attack anything and everything that has even the slimmest connection with the western world. Do no rule out attacks on shipping, oil fields, tourist locations, hospitals, schools, embassies, cruiseships, airlines, and in general everything.
It does not matter if the the targets are even Muslim owned or operated, The terrorists have shown they will not hesitate to kill their own people.

One of the true tradgeties is that their own people refuse to fight back. Muslim behavior defies definition.

BUt the tide is turning and the people of the world are beginning to cooperate in fighting this evil known as Islam.

The people of the world are becoming hardened and are beginning to attack Islam as well it should.

The world is changing rapidly and, I hope, in the right direction.

Ban Muslim Immigration NOW.

from above:

YEMENI MAN HELD ON WEAPONS CHARGE

Maybe, he was preparing for an honor killing which sometimes follows a marriage. In Islam, til death do us part could be true.

I'm so sick of hearing that we're stealing their oil. Just because their owners(muslim leaders) don't share in the wealth, doesn't make us thieves. We pay top dollar for the oil.

The muslims are their own victims.

I can see your point 2joeymamma...,but solo jihad on a plane is doubtful to me. Now if his buddies where also on that plane and attempted the attack in Yemen, interesting.

Posted by: BIRDDDOG [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 15, 2006 9:39 AM

To BIRDDDOG:

Several things about these two stories made me suspicious.....my thoughts were more along the lines that this Yemeni man may have been going home to participate in todays attacks....

In the days following 9-11 it was made public that communications between hijackers and their funders used the term "wedding" as code for the attack date.

It also peaks my interest because the idea of having a carved out phone book with a knife in it and NOT KNOWING how it got there leads me to believe this was possibly an attempt to "test" whether it would be caught by security.

Not to mention buying a one-way ticket...I mean, that always raises a red flag

to Birddog ....another point....who is to say that his buddies weren't on the plane....he was the only one caught with a knife. We have seen from the past that they often board as if they don't know each other

Well if these yahoos think we are stealing their oil maybe we should. Just look at the pump prices and all the Rolls Royces the sheiks are driving instead of their usual camels. All the supressed sand monkeys should rise up against the rich sand monkeys and revolt....still in the stone age. Do they use flints to start fires or have those clickable fire starters?
Someone should invent exploding flags that detonate at 150 degrees F.

virtually every piece of oil drilling/processing/shipping equipment in the middle east was delivered/built/maintained by the US,Britain,Germany/France or Spain. No Muslim input whatsoever except to buy it.

Iran, despite all its wealth has built no oil refineries to convert oil to gas. They hate the west so much they will not allow the refineries to be built and they do not have the capacity to do so.

The elite few in power in the oil producing countries (commonly referred to as OPEC). have made trillions of dollars off the oil sales to the west. Anyone care to guess how much of this wealth goes to improving the average citizens life?

It seems to me the leaders of the Muslim countries are the ones doing the robbing.

Al Qaeda says they steal Muslim oil? Because he wants to steal oil from his fellow Muslims from land that is not his... so he calls his potential victim a "thief".

How sad we can't buy products from Muslims without their biting our hand. Like dogs.

Yet, what would they have today over there if they did not buy our technological inventions? Nothing. No toilets, no lightbulbs, surely no cars, nor televisions. No air conditioning. Nothing.

Islam has collectively ruined these once great civilizations of Babylon, Assyria, Persia, and Egypt... amongst others.

What is so sad is that God gave them oil, He gave them kindness, even though He punishes and curses their people and their lands constantly with famine, disease, war, and every manner of horrible thing.

Yet, they have spat upon God's kindness... and are using oil as a weapon... to draw in their neighbors so they can stab them in the back.

We need to produce alternatives so that we don't have to pay those apes a damn penny of our money for oil. We need to use less and be less sufficient on long distance transport. Remember it's long distance transport that brought those monkeys from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to blow up our buildings, buses and Underground systems.

Well..Well..Well

Now we might see some action from Arabs who thought "can't touch this".

When oil wells are attacked, an amazing thing happens. Arab nations start to take another look at their own glass houses.

I'm sorry the oil fields were not blown up. Had they been, maybe there would be a little more cooperation from so called "moderate Arab nations".

If you want to hurt Iran, don't nuke them...take out one of their oil fields for every time an IED goes off and I promise the IEDs will end as well as any support to radicals. Try it a couple of times and watch the Iranians cry.

Hello all! I just found this website tonight because I wanted to do some research on Robert Spencer. I've been listening to him on a local radio station (630 KHOW with Peter Boyles and Caplis & Silverman) where he has been a guest numerous times. I've been somewhat studying Islam but not in great detail, but enough to know that its not "the truth". I've been aware of the violence taught in the Qu'ran and the Hadith for quite some time and I was so elated to finally hear some one (Robert Spencer) finally speak out against it. I've been reading some of the articles and the feedback a lot of you posted and I can't believe how intelligent and articulate some of the comments have been. I am very impressed. I saw on one particular thread how some of you ripped Nasseem a new one. I was glad to see that some of you posted actual surahs as proof. I've had many talks with muslims in my attempt to convert them to Christ. Its not as easy to have a dialogue between them today given our current situation with the religion. We need to educate our politicians and eduactors about this religion (Islam). The only we can solve "radical" Islam (or just Islam) is to point out that its not the truth. Some one posted a comment that was straight to the point about Islam (The Qu'ran). Its false and it contradicts the Bible and contradicts itself. Those are the things I've tried to explain to my muslim prospects in the past. Chrisianity is a fulfillment of the Old Testament (or Judaism). From the book of Genesis and throughout the Old Testament talks about Jesus either symbolically or prophetically. Anyway, I know this is not a forum for preaching so I'll end it there. I am currently working on a master's degree so I won't be a regular here until after Summer '07. I will start posting my comments from time to time. This is a great service Robert. I am going to refer as many people as I can to this website. One final note in reference to the Pope's comments about Islam. Isn't funny how his comments (which were true) are now being confirmed by the actions (or reactions) of muslims? They are so brainwashed that they don't realize all of the violence and threats performed by muslims abroad are just validating the Pope's comments! I take that back, not all muslims are reacting in a violent manner but those who are have played into the hand of the Pope's comments. Anyway, I will leave for now but I will return shortly. Thank you all for allowing me to a part of this great website and cause.

Mr. P
