"We ask him to apologize this false reading of Islam," said Lebanese cleric Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, one of the world's foremost Shiite religious scholars."We do not accept the excuse of the Vatican that the pope was not targeting Islam and had not intended to engage in a detailed study of jihad (the Muslim doctrine of holy war)," he added.
Fadlallah recently praised Hizballah for waging "a new battle of Khaybar." Khaybar, of course, was a Jewish community in Arabia against which the Muslim Prophet Muhammad waged an aggressive campaign of conquest and exile.
Outgoing Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniya condemned the comments "in the name of the Palestinian people.""These remarks go against the truth and touch the heart of our faith," Haniya said after weekly Muslim prayers in a Gaza mosque.
"The pope should revise his comments and stop attacking Islam, which is the religion of more than 1.5 billion people in the world," he added.
Hamas, of course, has glorified and celebrated violence against non-Muslims for decades. And here's some more:

They are hypocrites. Only their " holy places " are holy. They use their mosques to hide in like the cowards that they are. We don't care how big Your numbers are. You live in the 7th century. We have the technology to more than eliminate the numbers.

And just yesterday the paid propagandist who writes those articles to which the name of Moazzam Begg is affixed, wrote that there are "1.6 billion" Muslims. So which is it? Is it the propagandist-ventriloquist for "tormented" ex-prisoner Moazzam Begg ("Yo soy un hombre sincero/De donde crecen las palmas/Yo soy un hombre sincero/De donce crecen las palmas/Guantanamero, yo soy un Guantanamero" and don't anybody ever forget the terrible injustice I endured) who is correct, with "1.6 billion," or the cleric above, with "1.5 billion" or could it be the "1.3 billion" we also hear from Muslim spokesmen, or the "1.2 billion" we also hear, at the same time. Or could it be that no one really knows, because the Muslims count up every last man woman and child and if they have not expressly declared themselves otherwise -- and would that be advisable in most, or any, Muslim states -- they count as Muslims, for the purpooses of propaganda and inflatable figures.
Here's my figure: 1 billion Muslims at the very most, and that is only if one assumes there are, in all those numbers, not a great many people who are whatever they are told they are, and could, with the right campagin -- nice American soldiers and missionaries in Darfur, for example, pointing out that Islam and Arabs have brought nothing but death and destruction -- a good deal could be done to decrease the size of this, the "world's-most-insistently-self-proclaiming-that-it-is-the-world's-fastest-growing-religion" religion.
"1.5 billion." Vzdor or, if you prefer, Chepukha. Betises. Stupidaggini. Nonsense, pulled from the thinnest possible air.

And how do the practitioners of the "religion of peace" react to words ...
Had Western education systems not been decimated for the past 50 plus years and replaced by lilberal-jibberish on all types of indolent pursuits and instead taught real history (not the socialist-diversity and revisionist-agitprop variants) - the Pope would not be facing alone the horde of bizillions or whatever amount of barbarians - for reminding the world of historical fact and truth.

Hindus can provide 10 million soldiers to back it up. Pope John Paul II supported Wahhabi terrorists that bombed on 9/11. Pope Benedict XVI is wisely launching Crusades on Islam. The 900 million Hindus of India wholeheartedly support new Christian Crusades on Islam and new Crusades of Democracy on Islamic Middle East. Pope Benedict XVI is right that Mohammad taught nothing new except Evil and Inhuman. Hindus support all what Pope Benedict said. Hindu India wants to have a Hindu-Christianity Pact of civilizations to tame Islamic barbarism. Hindu India is willing to provide 10 million Hindu soldiers to new Christian Crusades in the Middle East and on Crusades of Democracy to the Middle East.
(3) RECLAIM MEDITERANEAN AFRICA FOR CHRISTIANITY: Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco were thriving Christian civilizations, before they fell for Arab Muslim Bedouin invaders after 630 AD, and Arab Muslim killed all Christian men and took over Christian women by sword. The Christian Manifest destiny in 21st Century is to regain Christian Lands of Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco for Christianity again before 2050 AD. Hindu India is willing to join Christian Crusades on Mediterranean Islam and provide 10 million Hindu volunteers soldiers for this noble cause in the name of Jesus to regain Mediterranean Africa and Asia Minor back to the folds of Christian Civilization, to help Pope Benedict XVI realize his Christian Dream in first quarter of 21st Century Age of Aquarius. If Jews can return to Israel after 2100 years, there is no reason that Christians cannot return to North Africa after 1300 years and Turkey after 700 years. Victory of Christian-Hindu Alliance is predestined. Jesus shall rule over Turkey, Asia Minor and North Africa again before 2050, with the blessing of Hindus.
