Car Dealership Decried for Jihad Ad

Another intolerable insult: Fatwa Friday via Fox with thanks to all who sent this in.

A car dealership's planned radio advertisement that declared "a jihad on the automotive market"has drawn sharp criticism for its content but will not be changed, the business said Saturday.

Several stations rejected the Dennis Mitsubishi spot, which says sales representatives wearing"burqas"_ head-to-toe traditional dress for Islamic women _ will sell vehicles that can"comfortably seat 12 jihadists in the back."

"Our prices are lower than the evildoers'every day. Just ask the pope!"the ad says."Friday is fatwa Friday, with free rubber swords for the kiddies." A fatwa is a religious edict.

Dealership president Keith Dennis said the ad does not disrespect any religion or culture. He said it was"fair game"to poke"a little fun at radical extremists."

CAIR, predictably, is not amused:

It exploits or promotes misunderstanding in terms already misunderstood or misused.

CAIR is over and over again in the absurd position of asking us, "Who are you going to believe about Islam, us, or your own lyin' eyes?" Whether CAIR likes it or not, there is an Islamic element to Islamic terror.

Go here for a real cool Volkswagen Polo commercial. http://www.snopes.com/photos/advertisements/vwpolo.asp

I do not know where it has been shown, but the drivers sits on the right, a commercial made for the British or Australian market.

What a concept! We should encourage Madison Avenue and the advertising industry to jump in with both feet in using the Islamic Nazis as fodder for advertising. What a hoot that would be!

Remember during the Cold War there were ads spoofing a Russian fashion show. Imagine the take offs ads could generate on the latest fall fashions of Iran. As sensitive as these murderers are they would stay spun up all the time! What are they gonna do; kill us all? They are going to try to do that anyway. Keep 'em angry and let them show their true colors.

Obviously humor is against the Koran. Just like everything else that makes life a little bearable. No wonder they aspire to martyrdom.

And who was that guy kidding, saying he just wanted to "poke a little fun" at some marginal types.

He WAS delivering a message, AND IT WASN'T about some fringe element. And good for him!

That whole thing with the burqaas gives the game away.

There is not humor is Islam.
--- Ayatollah Musavi Ruhollah Khomeini

There is no humor in Islam. There is no humor in Dearborn, Michigan. But look at the bright side, the first law passed by the Ayatollah Musavi Ruhollah Khomeini after Jimmy Carter and Zbig sold out the Shah was to lower the street legal age to 9 yrs of age.

Praise allah. A haha ha ha.

Posted by: bigcatgirl13106 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 8:58 PM

Maybe I'm the odd one out here, but I'm looking at this as more as an endorsement of jihad, rather than a mockery of it. Why else plug concepts like Fatwa Friday, Burkha-clad women closing the sale, et al?

That said, if Muslims are going to avoid buying Eclipses and Monteros, I'd feel a lot better.

As for CAIR, if these terms are already misunderstood and misused, what's your problem?

Posted by: Infidel Pride [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 8:58 PM

funny stuff, but remember to "normal" humans, jihad is wrong.

I hear this commercial every morning on the radio. There's nothing wrong with it. It's good, clean, mocking of illiterate mad bombers and machete swingers.

The word Islam is not mentioned in the spot. Therefore, CAIR should take the hint and stop talking about it.

More commercials like this are needed. If CAIR hates this commercial, they ought to watch a Carlos Mencia episode. He'll make their eyes and ears hurt.

This was funny until alarmed pig farmer chimed in.

Listen you phuckwad, stop yakking about things of which you know nothing.

Of Operation Eagle Claw, I know more than enough, but the point is that the Operation was launched to rescue the hostages, because an outright assault or a war on Iran would have resulted in the deaths of the hostages.. a lose lose situation, the only chance to get the hostages out alive was via a rescue op.

Jimmy Carter did not cave into the mullahs and later to be president Ahmadinejad, he did the only thing he could have done.. and frankly even that rescue operatio would have ended in a disaster.

It was an impossible situation.. Iran declared war on America by invading the Embassy.. Carters choice was to wage war against Iran and thus hazard the lives of the Embassy staff (who most certainly would have been killed) or try to rescue them.

Clowns like you are idiot arsehole ideologues, no wonder this country is in such deep doo doo, clowns like you are ruining err running it.

Infidel Pride:

It's not as bad as all that. However do I see it as a bit of a double-edged sword;the good news and the bad news.
Yes, it sorta promotes/mentions islam,
but used in advertising most people will laugh about it,except guess who?

I guess the whole thing was inevitable really.
Ad agencies like to be a cut above everything.

It seems to me people in the past few days are pushing an envelope that really needed pushing.

The whole "culture clash" is moving at an accelerated pace.
It will be interesting to see where it leads.

Let's hope the car dealers don't apologise!

Nariz,
If you want to use profanity learn to spell!

Posted by: Gramfan [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 9:54 PM

If you read the whole story........ they're having Fatwa Fridays by "handing out rubber swords to all the kiddies"
I wish I lived in Ohio so I could buy a car from these guys!
Well done!

Posted by: IslamBgone [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 10:00 PM

The dealership has every right to advertise by poking fun at elements of Islam, though they could probably sell more vehicles by having voluptuous blondes in red, white and blue bikinis do the selling.

"...the only chance to get the hostages out alive was via a rescue op." - Nariz

No, it just took the election of President Reagan and his courage to stand up to Khomeini to get the hostages released. This defense of Dhimmi Carter is troublesome.

I'm still trying to figure out CAIR's objection/position on this. Either we take the jhiddists seriously and therefore CAIR being part of their group should be feared. Or we take the Jhiddists not seriously therefore we do not pay any attention to CAIR.

I'm just so confused!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: credit man [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 10:12 PM

"Using that as a promotional pitch when so many are dying from the criminal activity of suicide bombers, that's not funny,"chapter president Asma Mobin-Uddin said."I don't think it's appropriate when it causes real pain. It exploits or promotes misunderstanding in terms already misunderstood or misused."

So, let me get this straight: CAIR is accusing him of making fun of the victims of suicide bombers? I mean, I do agree with them that suicide bombers cause real pain. So, the real question is - if they are against shahid, why don't they do something about it besides harrassing a car salesman?

Very welcome......This is quite a large dealership Dennis has. he has several stores in Columbus......Pontiac, Hyundai, Izuzu, and the Autopoint....Dennis is one of the major players in Central Ohio Automotive, and he's aware of the whining that's going on by the CAIR pansies.

One does not see them very often, but the WW2 era Warner Bros. cartoons lampooned the Japanese and Germans severely. In the 50s they were shown on TV regularly. The Japanese especially were made fun of. They were shown as wearing thick glasses, having buck teeth, and were shorter than Elmer Fudd. Of course Bugs Bunny was always outsmarting Germans and Japanese. How I long for those days when we weren't afraid of insulting those people who were trying to kill us.

Amen about the dodgy knees, disillusioned one. I can tell when rain is on the way without looking out the window.

About this commercial. I think that I've been hearing a different commercial from the Dennis Auto Group, but with a similar tone.

I know that I hear him say 'Jihad on the automotive industry' in the commercials they air on ESPN Radio every morning.

The one that CAIR's creeping around about now must be a new and improved version of the one that's presently airing, and I very much look forward to hearing it.

that is one of the most hilarious commercials! of course muslims cant laugh at themselves.. l remember a few years ago, there were to Black muslims from Mich who were doing a comedy act about Islam.. well you dont hear from them anymore.. seems muslims cant enjoy any commedy, no sense of comdedy, its killing all the time..at least the Vikings new how to have a good time.

Geez, what's the big deal here? The cukoos must be upset(again) because these cars aren't equipped with special suicide bomber conversion kits.

Personally, I think the idiots are just jealous (again)that the dealership doesn't sell any cars manufactured in a Muslim country.

Posted by: ISLAMSFORLOSERS [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 11:25 PM

DCWatson, the Carlo Mencia clip is hilarious! That's a keeper, and thanks for sharing.....

Posted by: Bonniea [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 11:43 PM

Would you trust a car manufactured in Iran? I know that I would not trust such a vehicle. The Russians have not been able to produce a good car, and the Koreans are struggling to manufacture a good car.

The Mitsubishis are great cars, but for some reason their resale value is really bad. I drove a Mitsubishi for the past 14 years, and changed to a Ford earlier this year. (My knees and back are a bit of a mess). The Ford Territory is a really great car, and with our Phil Kearns camera, we are less likely to bump into things from behind. Alas, after having the car blessed I was banned from driving after giving it a little scrape on the side.

The commercials sound like they are very funny, Yes we do need to poke fun about these jerks who fanatically believe that they will get into heaven through the means of murder-suicide. NOT!!!!

Posted by: Maggie4Life [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 11:48 PM

Won-der-ful. Let the capitalism keep on rollin'. Thank you Pope.

Posted by: limes [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 24, 2006 11:58 PM

Actually, Iran has produced its own car-sort of. It consists of a horse pulling a wagon. The real cars used there are obviously from elsewhere (funny that they're not Muslim made, given how fanatical that nation's leaders are) since they're more interested in the peaceful use of nuclear power. Muslims don't produce cars because they'd rather produce trouble instead and that is easily exportable.

Nariz, it's not about me. It's about you, or at least people like you, of which there are so terribly many.

I've read over 80% of the Islamic scriptures (the hadiths are so long, as is al-Tabari), and all of Marx, from which the likes of you spawn.

Admit that Marxism aligns exactly with Islam. Admit that at least. It is apparent in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, if one cares to acknowledge reality.

Both Marx and Mohammed are ugly, demeaning, negative, devolutionary forces that rely on fictive renderings in order to grow. And, in the presence of so much intellectual fraud, such as your postings (which constitute unimportant but illustrative examples) both Karl and Mohammed are flourishing.

* 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 *

But I'll give you a choice: If you don't like it; lump it. It'll be people like me that bring loaded barrels to the faces of deeply offended Moslems when the street fighting starts. Which it will. Heck, I'm thinking about renting an apartment in Dearborn just for the occasion. Rents have plummeted there. That city has gone downhill big-time, what with all the social workers running around in Tauruses delivering checks to miffed Moslems.

Punk.

As our friends from Mecca unterstand very well, since their sharia calls for the humiliation of the infidel by means such as the wearing of different color shoes etc..., ridicule is the best way to strip someone or some idea of power.

Alas, if the West truly demands a two-way-street, it will not bode well for special protections where none are offered.

CAIR needs to open a Saudi chapter promoting the right of freedom of religious expression and quick, lets they look like they are trying to build a one-way street to the 7th century.

Remember when you were a youngster and it was so much fun to tease your kid brother or sister to the point of tears? Why? It brought great glee and satisfaction to have that power and control over your little sis or bro. It would take many years until the target of your fun matured, got smart and just ignored you. You tried and tried and tried to get their hackles up but to no avail. there was no point in teasing anymore, the main objective,(giggles and fun) was now over. We can all have a little piece of our childhood back thanks to the very serious muslims. just spell mehimud wrong, just draw a picture of mo, any imaginary slight will do and feet will start stomping, sticks and stones will come flyin, temper tantrums full tilt. Seriously, I feel horrid, discusting people deserve no respect. Sidenote: I'm sure c.a.i.r. is ok with the adds because muslim and islam were not specified.

Sorry to hear about your situation.

I know this is OT, but how exactly does it make business sense any more for companies to overload India with their work requirements, when India already is suffering from an acute labor shortage? And as more and more people gravitate towards Hi-Tech, this shortage has spilt into other areas, such as textiles, financial services and airlines. From a cost standpoint, it no longer seems to make sense - the annual salary increase in India is ~15%, since it's more and more difficult to retain workers there.

But I doubt anyone except Robert et al would have access to your e-mail - I think it's more likely that it was mined from the Internet. Just use your e-mail provider's spam report. I got a similar mail, and tried responding to the sender with some choice words about how Allah doesn't want his cash to be withdrawn from the African Development Bank, but the mail bounced. Just mark them as spam, and continue. Better still, create a new e-mail on gmail, and direct all your contacts there, and leave the old one on for a while for just your JW login. Hopefully that works.
