US plans sale of aircraft parts to Iran

No wonder the Thug-In-Chief in Tehran is so confident: he sees the suicidal madness that clouds minds in Washington. Or is this some grandiosely naive attempt to win the hearts and minds of the mullahs? From Middle East Newsline, with thanks to Lori:

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States, amid its campaign for international sanctions, plans to sell aircraft parts to Iran.

The Bush administration has notified Congress that the United States would export parts for U.S.-origin aircraft to Iran. Officials said the State Department and Commerce Department have recommended such a move in an effort to improve Iranian air safety.

The recommendation has been relayed to the Treasury Department, which bans all but humanitarian transactions with Iran. Officials said State and Commerce have designated a company for the aircraft spare parts export license.

Bush has lost his damn mind! Why not send some technicians over there too to help improve their "peaceful" nuclear program while you're at it? Honest to God ALL politicians are scum regardless of party and I will never vote for one again. Everyone involved in this insane scheme is a traitorous pig.

Khrushchev had his points. He could, as a command performance (with Comrade Stalin doing the commanding) play the echt ukrainische villager for visiting Western dignitaries, and also on Stalin's command dance the gopak for those same Westerners. Later he would recall how humiliated he felt, how much he hated Comrade Stalin for making him do it.

But Khrushchev was not the author of the rope-trick quote. That was Lenin himself. He was the one who predicted that the greed of the "capitalists" would be their undoing. He proved wrong. But then the Soviet Union never possessed as the result of a mere accident of geology the fantastic wealth possessed by ten Arab and Muslim states, and the Soviet Union never held out to Western businessmen the kind of financial inducements that those rich Arabs and Iranians can hold out, nor did the Soviet Union ever spend the kind of money on propaganda for Communist Revolution that the rich Muslim states spend on campaigns of Da'wa all over the West, and on providing the instiutions --- mosques and madrasas -- to shore up the Muslim presence in the Lands of the Infidels, and to pay armies of Western hirelings to serve as apologists and fixers and public-relations agents on behalf of Muslim states, Muslim peoples, Islam itself.

A sane policy would force the mullahs to face the consequences of their actions (e.g. support of terroristic islam in Lebanon and Iraq and Britain [the fatwa against rushdie], brutality within Iran, and trading with north korea). Those consequences include having their planes crash and burn. Selling iran spare parts is pure idiocy.

I am having an infidel seethe moment. When I read things like this I just wonder whose side Bush is on? When I was in the Persian Gulf in 1983 and 1985 we were absolutley thrilled that they had no spare parts for their F-14's, C-130's, etc. Even then they were having difficulty in keeping the stuff we sold them airborne. I hope and pray this turns out like the Dubai ports deal.

Why does this not surprise me, giving weapons and armored vehicles to Fatah (PLO), selling airplane parts to Iran, whats next? enriched uranium to North Korea? The only thing politicians ever see is $$$$, it's ridiculous. I'm almost embarrased to call myself an American when we have this kind of leadership in our government.

This would be the same as me giving the crack head down the street a gun so he can rob me.....what are our so called "leaders" thinking?

It is increasingly hard to see Kerry being worse than this, had he won the election. Maybe he would have been, but I don't know. Bush is giving Kerry a run for this money in the race to sell out America's national security. And irony of irony, it was the issue of national security that won him the election.

You know, it's funny. It's almost as if George is a muslim agent. Think about it.

1)He is spending hundreds of billions of dollars in Iraq to bring good things to those people.

2)He wanted to give the muslims control over our most sensitive ports.

3)Then he signed a deal to give UAE control over some of our aircraft industry.

4)Then he gave out 19000 visas so that young saudi males could come to "study" in America.

5)Then he surrounds himself with islamic apologists, including his secretary of state who has just stated the goal of dividing Israel and giving half to the PLO.

6)Then he agrees to send aircraft parts to our greatest enemy, iran.

7)Then he gives amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, some of whom are al-qaeda operatives

8)Then he refuses to confront Iran on its nuclear program, providing line after line in the sand.

I am sure there is more evidence that George Bush is an islamic agent, pretending to be an evangelical Christian.

What is this, the invasion of the body snatchers?

It wont be long before they start coming for the guns.

Posted by: KAOSKTRL [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 15, 2006 7:40 PM

Well said August22...our lives are at stake and the administration does not seem to care.

I'd rather see Bush expand diplomatic contacts with them, if for nothing else than for intelligence and deception. But he refuses to talk to Almondhead at the UN but he'll send parts to keep his airforce going. Like I said before, Bush and his fatheads are both schizoid and stupid.

Thats it! Any hope I had for the Republican party is dead and the Democrats are already dead. What can be done? Perhaps a new party should be formed. It can be done! Look at the way the Republican party was formed in the 1840s. It had a few basic platforms. One was slavery which at the time looks much like the muslim problems we are having today. People keep using the 1930s analogy but I think this is wrong. We first must fight the battle in our dam country before we can deal with other nations. It looks more like the 1850s. Bleeding Kansas is right around the bend folks. As muslims enter in the country in droves and their defenders in the left join ranks with them in a common fight with the USA which they hate. The idiots like Bush fiddle while Rome burns. They do it becuase like banks and businesses in the north made money off slavery they ignored "slave power" and allowed it to dominate politics. It was even for a time outlawed to talk of slavery in the congress becuase it might "offened" slave holders. How long before the same kind of talk enters into congress so we don't "offened" muslims and the left. Muslims groups are already attacking the constitution and Bush does nothing. Muslims are already setting up mosques all over the place and NO one is vetting these people to see if they are loyal and Bush does nothing. Borders are open to all and Bush does nothing. If he does so little at home in the USA to defend us then why is anyone suprised when he sells materials to Egypt, Iran, Arabia, and others that might hurt us Americans.

From the short article in Middle East Newsline: "... export of spare and replacement parts and technical data for the repair and overhaul of a "limited number" of U.S.-made turbine engines on Airbus aircraft."

This may not be as bad as it seems if there is no military use for these parts. Unless the Iranians have turned Airbus planes into bombers. Anyway, I hope we charge them an arm and a leg. Not figuratively.

Don't forget, Iranian Christians, Jews, and Zoroastrians fly on Iranian civilian planes. I presume.

That's the truth-a new party is needed as the two biggies we have now are only interested in catering to special interests. The Republicans are looking more and more like the Democrats of Woodrow Wilson while today's Democrat party should rename itself the Anarchists for all the mindless chaos they have espoused in the last 40 years. Both parties have become a disgrace to the nation and are leading us toward disaster against Islamania.

Yes, at some point they probably will come for the guns, but not without a fight.

Being that our government revolves around a hunger for money regardless of consequence, I would love to see a mass refusal to pay taxes.

The power of money is the only power we have left unless a viable nationalist 3rd party candidate emerges that reverse this insanity.

It was a component of the incentives package -- the one Iran still has not responded to (what's the deadline set at lately? I've lost track.) -- that Iran would receive:

Civil aviation cooperation, including the possible removal of restrictions on US and European manufacturers, from exporting civil aircraft to Iran, thereby widening the prospect of Iran renewing its fleet of civil airlines. (Iran Focus)

So with that, Iran has gotten a significant chunk of the incentives package without lifting a finger.

Pre-emptive appeasement for "hearts and minds."

"Don't forget, Iranian Christians, Jews, and Zoroastrians fly on Iranian civilian planes. I presume."

If the parts are designated only for a limited number of civilian aircraft, then perhaps it is an attempt by the administration to reach past the hardline government of Iran and help the common people, among whom are many silent dissidents. A gesture, of sorts, maybe? Seems unlikely that the news of the U.S. helping to improve airline safety would ever filter through the media censorship, though. The Great Satan, you know. Got to keep that image in front of the people.

ISLAMSFORLOSERS & David

The model for a third party to end all this madness is found within the formation of the Republican party. Perhaps we need a revolution to restore the party to roots. I don't mean some sort of conservative revolution but to the party of Lincoln and Roosevelt. The original party was filled with an assortment of Northern Whigs, Free-Soiler Party members, a couple of Know-Nothings and Northern Democrats who hated slavery. It was not a perfect mix but they all agreed on a few important things. They put aside the side issues to deal with these important issues. They were formed to fight the Kansas-Nebraska act which was the extension of slavery. Activists denounced it as proof of the power of the Slave Power (the powerful class of slaveholders) who were conspiring with powerful business and banks in the north to control the federal government and to spread slavery nationwide. Not too different from today.

Goals

No Slavery
No Corruption
No Aristocracy
Pro-Business (not associated with the slave power)
Pro-modernization (Banks to Education etc.)
Pro-Moral Values

Today we could just change the No Slavery clause to No Shria and may the revolution begin.

And we wonder why no one believes in Imam Abu'shila's "war on terror". This is from the same people who refuse to seal our porous terrorist friendly borders, who lobby for Dubai to control our ports, who are exporting our manufacturing base to an enemy country - China, and who refuse to use our immense trade leverage with China to force them to get rid of the mental case in Korea. They will fight this war on "terror" by any means as long as it doesn't interfere with the profits of their business supporters.

Good point, David. While tax evasion is a crime, why is abusing tax-dollars, not a crime?

Again, good point.

Is the USA making a rod for its own back ?

Let the USA study the history of the Muslim conquest of India. Let them learn how the Hindus foolishly let grow Islam in India and are now facing extinction from the Muslims.

As a Hindu, my advice to the USA is - don't deal in anything with Islam, except aggression.
