Robert-
I am listing to your podcast interview. You are Ghandian in your directness and truthfulness. It's quite remarkable.

Gandhi didn't mince words and he didn't back down. BTW, he once said that "Muslims speak about the brotherhood of man, but what they really mean is the brotherhood of Muslims." I didn't appreciate that comment when I first read it some years ago. I do now. He was remarkably direct and yet politically astute.

Looking forward to part two of Robert's interview on Shire Network News, to be aired next week.
The podcast host, Brian of London, during the pre-interview commentary produced this "zinger" to describe how Turks see Westerners: ...what a pack of bastard-coated bastards with chewy bastard centers, us Westerners are...(from the Muslim viewpoint). Delicious!

Islam is a religion that brings hope and comfort to more than a billion people around the world. It has transcended racial and ethnic divisions. It has given birth to a rich culture of learning and literature and science. And tonight we honor the traditions of a great faith by hosting the Iftaar here at the White House.
I'm so pleased our Secretary of State, Condi Rice, has joined us. Thank you, Madam Secretary. I'm pleased that Dr. Elias Zerhouni, who is the Director of the NIH, is with us. Good to see you, Elias. I thank Imam Eid, from the Islamic Institute of Boston, is with us. I welcome all the ambassadors and other members of the Diplomatic Corps.
And for people of all faiths, it is a good time to reflect on the values we hold in common, including love of family, gratitude to God, the importance of community, and a commitment to tolerance and religious freedom.
America is a land of many faiths, and we welcome and honor the Muslim faith in our nation. Our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens.

Sure looks our Harvard boy President does a lot of reading on Islam in his spare time doesn't it.
I believe George Bush has a secret plan to defeat Islam; it is so secret, that even he doesn't know what it is yet.

While listening to the podcast I cannot but feel that we are at a momentous moment in history. The beginnings of perhaps an awakening. We are reaching rock bottom. The enemy is using universities to advance their cause with the goal of building a sort of underground army to wage jihad within Great Britain. The same is no doubt occuring hear. If the governments do not show better leadership they will have to be voted out but that might happen too late. I will say it again it is the 1850s just on a global scale. Bleeding Kansas is around the bend then Civil War.
It is perhaps time that the non-muslims who fear this unite into a political party seeing how the two main political parties are not getting it done.

Our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens. spoken by GWB, our fearless and feckless leader.
How, pray tell, have muslims enriched our society? Give me one, just one, example.

Sorry, but both Algebra and "Arabic" numbers were both developed in India before Islam came into being.
at October 17, 2006 3:01 AM
Correction, algebra has Greek and Babylonian roots.
Arabs refer to "arabic" numerals as "Indian" numerals.
There have been no advancements in science or the arts that can be atributed to Islam. It denies science and degrades the arts.

Yep, they did help out a bit there. We find it useful to keep track of how many innocent people they've murdered. Or if the scum YOU have overseas are anything like the scum we have here in Australia, how many young women these pieces of sub-human dogs--t rape
fightback - I hope the YOU above doesn't refer to ME. I guarantee I have no love for Islam (et al). It is aboslutely a(n) heresy of Christianity, and the Crusades are agan in order.
I just hate when someone makes a blanket statement that has more holes than swiss cheese.
at October 17, 2006 3:08 AM
give me doughnuts - what about the historic flourishing of Islamic Universities - along with their rediscovery of Aristotle - that gave rise to the University of Paris (in countermeasure) and ultimately to the scholastic dicipline of Thomistic philosophy/theology?

That's why the Iranian Constitution now enshrines shariah (islamic) law I suppose.
and he went to Yale you fool...
Many people I know have also.
People like you are the biggest threat because you are blind to your own face because of the power you seek but the well is dry for you!!!
Okay. I'm not sure about the dry well part; it sure looks pretty full to me, but if you say so.
Either you want to help or you are a supporter and part of the problem.
I guess I'm a supporter; after all it was part of my tax money that paid for the Whitehouse.gov website, and the dinner for immams there.
I wasn't invited -- were you? Didn't think so.
do you really want the islamic terrorist to win because when you weaken the dike in one place the water will destroy the whole vally
You're right. It's much better to see them wineing and dineing at the Whitehouse -- at YOUR expense.
Next time you host one of these White House events Catherine (and YOU did with YOUR tax dollars), consider one of your squirrel burgers as their main course; with a side of your spider al la mode.

Same here! At least we don't worry about the squirrels coming to get us -- but they may be plotting to gather up other posters that I won't name.
A good laugh now and then makes it all worth while!

Oh yes, come to think of it; not only does the Iranian Constitution enshrine shariah law, but so does the newly minted Iraqi Constitution.
Yes, we are "fightin fur free-dumb" alright, although enshirning shariah law with all freedoms for women etc., is not something I generally have in mind.

Just got an invite the other day won't beable to make it.
Sorry about that.
But if you are going to pick on where someone went to school don't you think the right school helps, not MAKE you look like a fool??
I'm am still waiting for the mulsums who always say look it was a mulsum who invented Algebra no one seams to know the mans name I just find that very od!!
Our system of digits and numbers (instead of things like CXVII - XXXIX)
as for that # last time I cked those were Roman #s and we know about many of the Greek inventions and who invented them 1000 years before mo-ham-od was even a twinkel in his fathers eye??
hell look we even know who lived in Egypt during the time of the primads
So surely the mulsum would know who the mulsums name who invented Algebra
Kind of like one of the 7 wonders built in Turkey used to be a Christian Church but if you look at it now you would never know because the mulsums took Constanople and renamed it??

So we're supposed to "oooh" and "aaahh" over Islamic science for rediscovering Aristotle? He was never lost!
All the Muslim scholars and scientists that are lauded through history were reviled by the imams in their day. These learned men were branded as heretics and apostates. They were jailed, their books were burned.
Their advances were in spite of Islam, not because of it.
It makes as much sense as to give the credit for Galileo's work to the Inquisition.

Well squirrel hunter, refer them to Chapter 7 of Spencer's "Politicaly Incorrect Guide To Islam and The Crusades" for a little bit of a shock.
Next time you're invited to the White House, by all means go; and invite the muslims there to a squirrel roast on rye.
And do give George a copy of one of Spencer's books while you're there.

From greatcometof1577 post above
"...If the governments do not show better leadership they will have to be voted out but that might happen too late. I will say it again it is the 1850s just on a global scale. Bleeding Kansas is around the bend then Civil War.

You are right. However, I do not think there is enough time under today's circumstances to organize and finance a new and effective party, as much as I would like to do that. The Muzzys already have more political clout here than a new organization could muster before 2008.
The Republican organization has "boots on the ground" everywhere. Distasteful as it is to many of us, I think we have to hold our nose and work within that organization to get it onto a true track regarding Islam and other threats to the nation inside and out, by 2008.
There was a luxury of time - compared to now - between Bleeding Kansas and 1861. Today communications, nuclear bombs, etc., change everything, except the election process, which has to follow the rules. It would take a revolution to change the rules, and that is not in the cards, at least for now.
