Bangladesh: Pro-Israel Muslim writer beaten by mob including government officials

And charged with sedition Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury Update: "Pro-Israeli editor beaten in Bangladesh," by Michael Freund in the Jerusalem Post, with thanks to LGF:

A Muslim journalist facing charges of sedition for advocating ties with Israel was recently attacked and beaten by a crowd in Bangladesh that allegedly included leading officials of the country's ruling party, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, editor of the Weekly Blitz newspaper, an English-language publication based in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka, was working in his office on October 5 when nearly 40 people stormed the premises.

The mob beat Choudhury, leaving him with a fractured ankle, and looted cash that was kept in the company safe. Choudhury was briefly hospitalized.

According to a statement appearing on the Web site of the Weekly Blitz, the attackers were led by Helal Khan, international affairs secretary of Jasas, and included Babul Ahmed, Jasas's secretary-general. Jasas is the cultural wing of the ruling Bangladeshi National Party (BNP).

During the assault, Ahmed is said to have shouted at Choudhury, labeling him an "agent of the Jews."

In a photo taken shortly after the incident that was obtained exclusively by the Post, Choudhury can be seen hunched over a table wearing a torn shirt while a Bangladeshi policeman dressed in blue chats with two BNP officials. Both officials took part in the attack.

No arrests were made, and police refused to allow Choudhury to file charges against his attackers.

As the Post first reported last month, Bangladesh is moving forward with plans to try Choudhury on charges of blasphemy, sedition, treason and espionage in connection with his articles critical of Islamic extremism and favorable to Israel.

This only goes on to show the hysteria and fanaticism of Muslim societies and the rare instances of moderation.
Note that Nr. Choudhury was only advocating ties with Israel. This still doesn't mean that he is pro-Israel, only that a policy of opennes be pursued.
It would have been stupid to accuse Nixon of being pro-communist when he opened ties with China decades ago.
I have come to the conclusion that Islam makes its followers become utterly stupid.

By the way have you noticed that this hare-brained violence comes from the cultural (sic) wing of the ruling Bangladeshi National Party (BNP)?
"Islamic culture"

Re: Bangladesh: Pro-Israel Muslim writer beaten by mob including government officials

This reaction is normal with Muslims. Pope Rage, Cartoon Rage, Opinion Rage, Rage Rage. It's all the same. That's why the Muslim belief-system fosters no significant creativity, no new bold ideas in science and technology, in Saudi Arabia or elsewhere in the Muslim-belief-system world. The Muslim belief-system cripples the mind. Hence, they can use such things as the cell-phone (invented at Motorola-Israel) to destroy lives with their crippled minds but they can't invent anything new thanks to the Islamic belief-system.

Actually, I find The Omega Man a better movie for comparison. The mutant humans of that movie resemble the Islamaniacs in so many ways that I can actually see it come to pass.

Poor India-trapped between two basket cases run by fruit loops. It's almost miraculous there are any Hindus at all given the murderous proclivities of the neighbors.

This can't possibly be true. Afterall, wouldn't CNN be all over it? A brave journalist, standing up for enlightened ideals in the face of an oppressive fascist regime... Isn't that what LLL journalists crave?

Report it, CNN. We'll decide.

F*cking hypocrites.

Wonder if there's an injection of some kind they give all muslims to make them mutate.

Posted by: americaningermany at October 18, 2006 08:28 AM

No, the Koran does a good enough job of that. But I wish someone could give them an injection to cure them. Then we could all benefit.

Yeah, I can see it now. A secret meeting of the Israeli government is plotting how it can take over Bangladesh as part of its global conquest camapaign (dictated by the Protocols, of course). Now that Choudhury has been exposed it looks like those evil Zionists will have to target another Islamic paradise. Somalia beware!

In any of these crowd scenes involving raging members of the religion of peace, one has to wonder when we will have a return to the use of force to maintain order, the "whiff of grapeshot".

At what point does the requirement of the understood example of what will happen, the results, if one riots or is publicly and illegally aggressive, and its consequences, has to be projected into even the most backward mind of a repressed and excitable muslim ?

In all dealings with islam, Lewis's prescription, get tough or get out, has to be the order of the day. In a Western world infected with the virus of multiculturalism, here is one area where some equivalence in response to violence(one would prefer overwhelmiing force), would be appropriate.

Zombies.. Vampires.. they worship the moon.. they hide from the SUN! That explains the veils and the horrible beards and the weird hospital garb they wear.

I've been researching for ONE country where there is freedom from pigslam so I won't have to support these people with the fruits of my labour and my ingenuity - but I have yet top find one that is free of this scourge!

All the cool germans should maybe move to Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg and leave the rest to the commie fools and their mufti chages. The French and others should also move to areas in their countires where they are free to live in peace without the commies and multikultis ruing it for everyone else!

Just cuz they are miserable they shouldn't do it to everyone else!

Bangladesh is increasingly fundamentalist and it is necessary for American foreign and immigration policy to reflect that. The US should put sanctions on Bangladesh, including tariffs on its clothing exports, until the government stops supporting the fundamentalists. The US should also ban Muslim immigration from the country as Muslims are a security risk to the US.

The assorted awards for brave journalists, the things given by one of the Kennedy-related institutes, or by the well-endowed boys at the Walter Lippmann House who handle the Nieman Fellowships, or others, such as the Shorenstein Center or Centers, and all the others who hand out these things, will find their awards largely meaningless unless two names are included this year: one is Anna Politkovskaya, for whom an award should be given posthumsously. And the other should be given to Salah Choudhury.

And the award to Choudhury should not have to be given posthumously. The government of Bangladesh should be read the riot act by the American Ambassador, and the Bangladeshis should be made to understand that all those American firms -- the sneakers and the clothing firms -- that provide the Bangladeshis with what income they possess, will either willingly, or be forced by outraged consumers organized to boycott any goods that read "Made in Bangladesh" and, what's more, to boycott the companies that continue to do business in Bangladesh -- for if it has to it will come to that, in order to get their respectful attention -- will be leaving, and that pressure will be brought to make sure that other investors, including the South Koreans, take their business to China.

Save Choudhury's life. Or forfeit the right to make portentous pronouncements about honoring "brave journalists" and "fighting repression." Let's see if "brave" Nicholas Kristof will have a word to say about this, or the egregious Friedman. Work the circuit, from the Rayburn Office Building to Francis Avenue.

americaningermany,
The Night of the Living Dead. I am afraid it is worse than that. Have you ever seen this movie? The Island of Lost Souls with Charles Laughton 1932. The Lost Souls have a Sayer of the Law, what is The Law? Man will not kill Man. Of course, in the end they don’t follow the law.

When I think of a movie to parallel Europe and its Muslim problems I think of The Time Machine by HG Wells.

Eloi= Europeans: apathetic, weak, indifferent, hedonistic.

Morlock= Muslim: primitive, parasitical, predatory, malevolent.

Let's not forget "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes". Mutant humans who worship H-bomb vs apes.
Guess who fits each role.

Our BNP can kick the ass of their BNP. LOL

Hospital garb? That is interesting. They do dress like they are patients of a mental hospital, flailing their limbs around, unshaven, unwashed, running amok to and fro, a danger to society.

It really is like a horror movie. It's like someone opened the gates of the mental hospital, by mistake or by design, we are not told, and they have flooded into the nearby town.

The residents of the quiet, sleepy town of Danville, left to their own devices, the phone wires have been cut, a storm has flooded the bridges, are now forced to fend for themselves against the onslaught of the islamanics. The government says there is nothing they can do. We find out that the government has been infilitrated by islamaniacs, a la the body snatchers. The townspeople do not know who has been infilitrated by the islamaniacs, and who is still human.

With food and fuel running low, the fate of the town, and the nation, rests in the hands of a few stalwart fighters, handsome Koranologist played by Robert Spencer, and a beautiful hitchiker passing through town, played by Marisol, and an assorted cast of B movie actors, including Hugh Fitzgerald, as the town's crusty, but crafty old mayor.

Put me down for the first copy of the DVD. And be sure to include a special thanks to Allah in the credits. After all, without his wonderful creation of Muslims this movie would not be possible.

One has to admit that if Allah didn't invent Islam and its followers sooner or later a writer of director would have. it really is a horror show.

memos to americaningermany and germaninamerica:

The world HAS been living 'The Night of the living Dead' horror for 1400 years on now....

As we all know, things like 9-11 are not carried out by sane, healthy human beings. They are carried out by brain-dead,soulless, ex-humans who have been converted by their friendly Zombie-master imams into walking dead killer-Zombies that destroy everything in their path.

The best Hollywood horror-sci fi film to compare with the Islamic invasion of the western democracies for my money is "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (the 1956 version)!!

Islam: playing al-lah's favorite tune "6 Billion People Screaming as the Earth Goes Dark" like a juke box.

ps-Halloween is coming. My costume suggestion: Ousamah bin Looney Tunes or the 'dear leader' Kim Jong-il.

Had this genocide happened today Israel would be flogged by world opinion for backing the dismemberment of wonderful Pakistan. How the times have changed-for the worse.

This just shows that Islam cannot be reformed. Any time somebody in the Islamic world actually tries to do something sane, some Muslim comes and beats or kills him.

And the US actually sent an aircraft carrier to the Bay of Bengal to intimidate India into not helping the Bangladeshis. Not that Indira Gandhi was deterred. And now, those very Bangladeshis routinely oppose India for everything. hmmm.. pretty sad really.

I'm reminded of how Israelis don't say "I'm starving," they say, "It's like Bangladesh in here!"

Just a few more nails in the coffin.
