To deny this story about their role in the Minneapolis Sharia Cab Controversy. Charles Johnson's comments are apposite: "It’s the standard denial. This comes from the political and public relations wing of the global jihad. No need for them to threaten. When someone in their network goes too far, they’ll back down and pretend they had nothing to do with it. They’re in this for the long haul."
A portion of the letter, via LGF:
The Muslim Brotherhood (MB) denied completely any involvement in the current dispute caused by a group of Somali Muslim cab drivers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, U.S.A, who are refusing to pick up drunk passengers or those carrying alcoholic beverages claiming that Islam prohibits them from driving passengers with Alcohol. Dr. Mohamed Habib, the first Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood, affirmed that Muslim Brotherhood has nothing to do whatsoever with what these Muslim cab drivers believe or view mistakenly as religious decree. Dr. Habib described the cabbies’ position as “absurd” and added “Muslims must respect and comply with the laws and regulations of the countries they live in and be a good example for their fellow citizens”
The question naturally presents itself: is that an unshakeable principle, or a temporary expedient?

If you recognize the value of this video . . .yes, share the link . . .but don’t stop there. Purchase a copy and make sure your library, your schools and religious libraries have a copy to share. It’s important to get the message out in every venue, but don’t forget the message has a financial aspect. To encourage this type of production, we have to financially support it as well.

"Dr. Habib described the cabbies’ position as 'absurd' and added 'Muslims must respect and comply with the laws and regulations of the countries they live in and be a good example for their fellow citizens'"
--- from the article above
This is akin to the about-face of the imam Hilali in Australia who, having been secretly taped at his mosque making his remarks about women dressed in non-Muslim fashion as "meat" who deserved whatever they got from inflamed Muslim men (apparently likened, in the somewhat clumsy metaphor, to the beasts that are attracted to that "meat"), and after indignation had been expressed too loudly and consistently to be ignored, pretended he had meant no such thing and apologized for any malentendu.
Now we have the Muslim Brotherhood telling us the usual nonsense about about Muslims who "must respect and comply with the laws and regulations of the countries they live in." But that is not what Muslim websites say. What Muslim websites tell those who ask if they must obey the Infidel laws of Infidel nation-states is that they need do so only now, when Muslims do not yet rule, and only to the extent that those laws do not conflict with the laws of Islam.
Go to any of a hundred Muslim websits. Check out the various Ask Mr. Fatwas and Ask the Imam. Go to www.islam-online.org. Have fun. Find out what Muslims are told to do, and why, and why it is all, in the end, utterly phony, because they must do whatever they have to do, temporarily, to avoid arousing Infidel counter-measures, until such time as it is too late for those Infidels and their countries (countries carefully left unspecified by Muslims -- for who cares if it is the United States, or Canada, or France or England -- they're all just part of the Lands of the Infidels, part of Dar al-Harb).
How much nonsense do Muslim spokesmen and apologists of every kind think that they can continue to get away with, when any Infidel, at a click, can go to any number of Muslim websites and see exactly what is being dispensed as advice to Muslim Believers. How much of this stuff do they think they can permanently hide from the view of Infidels, when at the same time they keep disseminating it far and wide to Muslims?
The jig is up. Or will be. It's a race -- will Infidels rouse themselves from a deep dream of pseudo-peace and "understanding" in time to save not merely themselves but the legacy of the past that they hold in trust -- the legacy that creates, and was created by, that civilization we call "Western"? Or will Muslims practicing taqiyya, and their non-Muslim collaborators -- who include, inter alios: the bought-and-paid for (directly or indirectly, and usually with Saudi money); the antisemites who, but only becuase they can thereby do damage to Jews and to Israel, end up making excuses for Islam, or pooh-poohing the scope and severity of the menace; and the largest group of all, the merely weak-minded or the merely uninformed who remain too lazy to inform themselves, and of both kinds of the latter there are always a great many. The age's many distractions -- iPods, computer games, finding out how much Tom Cruise paid George Clooney for that villa next to the Villa Oleandra in Laglio (7 million euros, I believe, for a house that Clooney bought a few years ago for 2 million euros, but on the other hand -- there goes the neighborhood!)--also prevent focussing, at a time of maximum and unprecedented peril, especially in Western Europe, on the nature of Islam, the tenets of Islam, the attitudes which naturally arise in those who grow up in societies suffused with Islam, and from which it is hard to escape.

Hugh do you see their whine as an admission the truth is spreading enough to finally worry them?

Some are worried, and some are not. Some understand the problem of trying at the same time to disseminate to Muslims in the West the true, the real doctrine, and at the very same time trying to hide the true, the real doctrine being disseminated, from Infidels who might have the gall to eavesdrop upon Muslim-Muslim communications, whether they are easily retrieved on Internet sites (even if often in Arabic or Urdu or other relevant languages), or delivered in mosques, where agents of the Infidel nation-state now dare to observe, and even secretly record, these sinister khutbas.
They worry only about insuring that a sufficient number of Infidels are kept for a sufficient period sufficiently in the dark. So far they are doing fairly well. The Infidels have not yet disappointed them.
But many of those Infidels, and for the same reasons, disappoint us. Stamina, thick skins, self-assurance required.

You always have interesting perspectives. My gut tells me more “get it” now than in prior years, although we have a long way to go. I have more faith in our military now as the younger enlisted and officers both have been seeing the religion of peace up close and personal. I can personally name a dozen or more who have completed three trips into the box and many more who have done two. I think it will be hard for the PC crowd to convince them that moderate muslims exist and should be consulted. It looks to me as the arrogance of both sides’ works against them, our government has shoveled money at this problem for years with nothing to show for it. The muslims continue their propaganda blitz and rapid building of mosques, with nothing to show for it. I worry the winner will come down to the first one with a plan to effectively spend their money.
I do realize the muslims are light years ahead on the propaganda war as they do not have to worry about insulting anyone nor do the care what we as infidels think. We have to worry about insulting our friends. If you consider them as “friends” that is.

YouTube video titled The Project
Learn about "The Project. This vid is a good start, then google all about it. Learn about the global threat posed by The Muslim Brotherhood Project," dated 1982.Posted by: justamomof4"What Western intelligence authorities know about The Project begins with the raid of a luxurious villa in Campione, Switzerland on November 7, 2001. The target of the raid was Youssef Nada, director of the Al-Taqwa Bank of Lugano, who has had active association with the Muslim Brotherhood for more than 50 years and who admitted to being one of the organization's international leaders. The Muslim Brotherhood, regarded as the oldest and one of the most important Islamist movements in the world, was founded by Hasan al-Banna in 1928 and dedicated to the credo, "Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."
The raid was conducted by Swiss law enforcement at the request of the White House in the initial crackdown on terrorist finances in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. US and Swiss investigators had been looking at Al-Taqwa's involvement in money laundering and funding a wide range of Islamic terrorist groups, including Al-Qaeda, HAMAS (the Palestinian affiliate of the Muslim Brotherhood), the Algerian GIA, and the Tunisian Ennahdah.
Included in the documents seized during the raid of Nada's Swiss villa was a 14-page plan written in Arabic and dated December 1, 1982, which outlines a 12-point strategy to "establish an Islamic government on earth" -- identified as The Project. According to testimony given to Swiss authorities by Nada, the unsigned document was prepared by "Islamic researchers" associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
What makes The Project so different from the standard "Death of America! Death to Israel!" and "Establish the global caliphate!" Islamist rhetoric is that it represents a flexible, multi-phased, long-term approach to the "cultural invasion" of the West. Calling for the utilization of various tactics, ranging from immigration, infiltration, surveillance, propaganda, protest, deception, political legitimacy and terrorism, The Project has served for more than two decades as the Muslim Brotherhood "master plan". As can be seen in a number of examples throughout Europe -- including the political recognition of parallel Islamist government organizations in Sweden, the recent "cartoon" jihad in Denmark, the Parisian car-burning intifada last November, and the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London -- the plan outlined in The Project has been overwhelmingly successful.
Rather than focusing on terrorism as the sole method of group action, as is the case with Al-Qaeda, in perfect postmodern fashion the use of terror falls into a multiplicity of options available to progressively infiltrate, confront, and eventually establish Islamic domination over the West."

we have to remmember thatwhen the muslim botherhood claims it has nothing to do with the cabbys that they may well be practicing Taqiyya which means deception in Arabic is the cornerstone of Muslim relations with Kafirs (non-Muslims). Muslims are encouraged to deceive Kafirs all along. The technique Taqiyya was consistently used in warfare by Muslims and it was this which gave them victory over non-Muslims in addition to their schizophrenic savagery
when a blind person can get a ride with a muslim cabby because of the sirvice dog even though the law says he can something is wrong

islamakapigeaters,
The question to ask is not why they are attempting to enforce sharia law in a taxi. The questions to ask is why work at the airport? Why are they (muslims) cornering the market on transportation. Recent threads also reported hundreds of somali truck drivers attempting to get licenses for hazardous cargo. Is this a clue that the next attack will be on our transportation network? If you consider the failed port deal, this is one scary pattern. The are working the airports, roadways and ports, nah I am sure I am just paranoid, nothing to worry about folks, go back to sleep

I'm on the ground here in Minneapolis. I live 2 miles from the airport. These cabbie guys are beaten. No sharia for now, as their cover has been blown. Mr. Daniel Pipes, Katherine Kersten (of the StarTribune) and several hundred other people around the world like myself have seen to that. The larger issue now in this jurisdiction is Keith Ellison and his run for congress in the 5th district of Minnesota. In broad terms it is looking like a nominal 40-30-30 race, as there are three candidates. Today I am agonizing over voting for the candidate I want to win (Alan Fine) or against the candidate I want to lose (Ellison). But Fine probably won't get much more than 20%. That leaves Tammy Lee and Ellison. And Ellison must be defeated. God, how I love this country.

It goes without saying that temporary expedient is the more realistic assumption. However, to those of us initiate of the true knowledge of Islam this is a no-brainer. The rest have not a clue they are being lied to.
I am not quite ready to share in Hugh's sense that we are in a desperate race yet. The reason for that is that I tend to take the long view when it comes ot ideas. You see, I believe that the truth cannot be hidden under a bushel basket for very long. It tends to burn up the basket and break out into the open. Five years in a campaign to roll back political and academic shibboleths is not a long time. We have only just begun this process.
The advantage to Robert's approach is that he simply points out where the enemy obtains his justifications for jihad. He does not editorialize. What he elaborates is pretty much accessible to any person who can read and is sufficiently curious.
Joseph Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI, formerly Cardinal Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith, stated it rather succinctly in his interview with Father Fessio last year: Muslims believe that the Qur'an is a divine dictation. This is the mainstream Muslim dogma, not mere opinion. Anyone can look this up. In schools of theology this is more known and understood for all its starkness. The Karen Armstrong crowd are not the scholars of those communities, which pretty much seals the fate of the equivalizers and the folks who apply Western theological hermeneutics to Islamic scripture.
The fate of the West is in the hands of the Churches and synagogues. No offense intended towards non-religious persons is intended here. However, it is in the churches where theology matters and where one can more easily talk about it. Elsewhere, folks tend to revert to sociological and poly sci templates to debate the issues, with the result that the stark honesty of Islamic scripture tends to be downplayed. People in the churches understand religious motivations. The non-churched downplay them or write them off altogether as quaint anachronisms.
Thus, the real battleground is in our churches and synagogues. We are very equipped to carry forward the discussion, and can play a most salvific role in our societies (pardon the use of that word, but it works).

Oct., 06 - Imam Al-Dubya Speaks At The White House
From Lawrence Auster's Website View from the Right. Have your barf bag ready before reading.:
The annual White House Muslim suck-up festival
Carl Simpson reports on the latest doings of his favorite religious figure:
Here are the words of the Honorable Imam al-Dubya, delivered tonight at the annual Ramadan festivities in the Dar al-Washington.
“Islam is a religion that brings hope and comfort to more than a billion people around the world. It has transcended racial and ethnic divisions.*
“It has given birth to a rich culture of learning and literature and science. And tonight we honor the traditions of a great faith by hosting the Iftaar here at the White House.”
The Mahdi from West Texas (pbuh) hath spoken!
____________
* Islam is thus superior to America, since, according to both Imam al-Dubya and his First Caliphette, the Most Blessed al-Rice, America is still infused with the same racial hatreds that drove slavery, and Americans have a long way to go before they attain racial justice, while Islam, as al-Dubya has so graciously phrased it, has already transcended racial and ethnic divisions. MORE…

This is very strange indeed. Since when does the Muslim Brotherhood care enough about these things to issue statements about them- that is more like CAIR's job. Isn't the Muslim Brotherhood considered a terrorist organization?

Ronin, the reason why muslims gravitate to cab driver jobs when they get here, is that it is an obvious choice for them. As a cab driver they don't have to have any credentials, any education, any skills, and most importantly, they don't have to have to do any physical work, which as we know, muslims despise. They can sit in their cabs, read, smoke, chat, all the while waiting for a fare. And since so many arabs already have those jobs, they all know a friend that can get them one too.
Why the airport? You find that the airport is staffed mainly by third world immigrants. This is true. I theorize that the airport, being the first thing they saw when they arrived, holds a special place in their hearts. But again, once enough immigrants are working there, then it reaches a point of critical mass, whereby it attracts future immigrants for no better reason than familiarity, nepotism, and the attraction of an ethnic ghetto.
As far as the muslims that work in the shops, well, muslim society is a society of shopkeepers. In the arab world, they produce nothing. All they do is sell things to each other. That is why you find arabs running much of the stores in the West; convenience stores, smoke shops, audio/tv stores, dollar stores, furniture stores, etc.. Arabs are not producers. All they can do is farm, or sell.
Or drive cabs.

Mr. Spencer wrote:

Answer: temporary expedient.
My proof that the comment is a temporary expedient lies in the fact that the Islamic Brotherhood wrote to the Minneapolis Sharia Cabs while ignoring the rioting youth in France. If this was a matter of principle, there would be daily fatwas to the rioting youth in Paris to respect the country they live in. But the rioting Magrebian Moslems are the majority in these neighborhoods, so we can only conclude by negative inference that any comments made in Minneapolis are a temporary expedient and probably part of a greater plan of deliberate deception.

I replied to his comment as an "Editorial note" stating that I regard these posts by Muslims as "stratagem of war," or simply a disinformation campaign to lull people into a false sense of security.
