Four Muslims were arrested outside the Old Bailey yesterday during angry protests against the trial of a man allegedly involved in protests against Danish cartoons.Anjem Choudary, who helped organise the anti-Danish protests, was once more involved as was Abu Izzadeen, who confronted John Reid, the Home Secretary, on a recent visit to East London.
Mr Choudary said afterwards: "We should not be surprised at people doing something like 7/7. How else do you expect Muslims to express themselves?
"We are a community under siege. It's going to blow up one day in everyone's faces."
Male demonstrators, most wearing scarves across their faces, held placards reading 'Cartoonist free at large, protesters criminalised', 'Freedom to insult Mohammed, no freedom to defend his honour', and 'Biased government, biased CPS, biased police, biased judges'. Female protesters, in a separate enclosure from the men and wearing full veils, held placards reading: "Shariah — the only option for the UK."
Speaking through a megaphone, Mr Choudary told supporters: "Islam is the fastest growing belief in the UK, the fastest growing belief in Europe and the fastest growing belief around the world."

In a bit of Non-Sequitor:
This is from an excerpt from an AOL article informing that Al-Jazeera is trying to get air-time in America. I love (sarcasm) how Al-Jazeera is being portrayed has having gone through "a lot." Yes, I hear a lone sad and out-of-tune fiddle playig in the back-ground.
"We have an edge over the other networks: We're already based in the Middle East. And we have a different perspective," director Wadah Khanfar told a news conference at the network's Doha headquarters Wednesday.
Al-Jazeera has been through a lot in 10 years, with three staffers killed in Iraq, another locked away without charge at the U.S. prison facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and a correspondent who interviewed Osama bin Laden convicted on terror charges in Spain.

ha ha.
yes i don't expect moslems to express themselves in any other way.
However I do disagree on one point: islam is not the fastest frowing belief system in the world.
In fact, the dislike of islam is the fastest growing belief system at the moment.

I thought evangelical Christianity is the fastest growing religion in the world (don't forget China!).
But, assuming actually Choudary believes this hype about Islam, perhaps they think: Hey, it's working. Why change?

After reading this, does anyone still really believe that two or more diametrically opposed cultures/religions can coexist in peace and harmony?
Where in the world has this ever worked? Who in Britain, or anywhere else, is going to be the one to discard or modify their religious beliefs?
I'm waiting for answers....

Read: Shariah -- the only option for everyone, according to Islamic sources.
The few (allegedly) moderate Islamic voices we hear are not addressing the root issue, which is a literalist interpretation of the Koran. Huge swaths of it and the Hadith are going to have to be repudiated before any type of reform can take place.
I'm not holding my breath.

Well, they could try singing, dancing and a little art, but those things are haram. So Allah in all his mercy provided a way of expression, 'creative jihad'.
Those who create really beautiful jihad are revered as heros. Songs are sung about suicide jihadists, they love Bin Lousy and they go orgasmic over the dead Zarqawi. Look how they celebrated 911 and 7/7. The most creative jihadist alive today is the prez of Iraq that I refer to as Beasty Boy.
He is trying hard to create Mahdi as part of the most beautiful jihad ever. Mahdi is actually a nuclear weapon being manufactered in a lab, way down into the depths of the well at Jankaran. Aint that beautiful, and creative?
Choudary is right. We should expect nothing less than for muslims to 'express' themselves by ever larger, more creative, and beautiful, acts of jihad. How else do you expect them to express themselves????

Well, I'm glad that the hate-speech laws seem like they are being exercised equally at last. I was wondering just if the vitriol being spouted at those protests would meet with any response, and it has.
What amazes me is that a group making up just 3% of Britain's population has so much power. Surely the fact that Muslims are concentrated in certain areas would reduce their electoral influence to just a few seats? As I recall, Blair won the last election with a majority of what - a hundred or more seats? Seems he could ignore Muslim whining pretty comfortably.
Well, don't discount British police... they can be pretty old school when they want to be. I'm sure the guy who punched the officer in the face will have a nasty "accident" somewhere along the line. Nothing fatal, of course, but he will probably need a few stitches and some bed rest.

I'll bet it is. Put a gun to someone's head and they'll say anything. That and the fact that Islam offers plenty of ready made excuses for deviant behavior-those who want to molest boys, rape women and riot get a free pass because Allah says it's OK. What psycho wouldn't want to join up? Islam IS truly for losers.

What does it take to deport these Jihadist welfare bums? If I ran the UK they would be deported even if born on British soil. Change the laws if necessary. The Greeks were great believers in exile for criminals. Plenty of poor countries will admit them if paid off $5,000 per head.

What is superior, 'belief' or 'understanding'?
Once you properly 'understand' something, you dont need to believe it. Beliefs are wishy washy, they change with the wind and are highly subject to opinion. A true 'understanding' is solid. It requires no opinion, it does not require belief. Jesus said to the diciples' Oh ye of little understanding...in the Bible book of The Preacher it says: 'In all your getting, get understanding'. This just means that someone thought 'understanding' was of high importance.
In Islam the requirement is to be a believer, not an understander. No Islamic 'believer' understands God or Islam. They only assume that they do, while continuing to worship Allah, who has suspicious connections to moon worship, and commiting jihadic/terroristic acts in his name. If they really 'understood' Allah and Islam, they would apostate and convert to Wicca.
