I must say that Amerike attitudes about Islam are fuelled in part by political statements and media reports that focus almost solely on the actions of Muslim extremists.

Of course, to some people, this would mean they're doing a great job of doing whatever they're doing: tarring all followers of Islam with the terrorist brush in the name of safeguarding the Amerike from evil.

You peoples are getting a constant drumbeat of negative information about Islam. The drumbeat consists of news stories about bombings, violent demonstrations, demands that others conform to their religious practices, threats to obliterate other countries, beheadings, and so on.

That's "negative information," all right." Another name for it would be “Jihadwatch”.

This Mullah could be a moderate, simply saying what he believes his heart is telling him, he is pleading against misinformation, and doesn’t want trouble…telling you that this misinformation will whip up unnecessary hysteria amongst the misinformed “devout”. Nothing wrong with him expressing his opinion....is there?

YOU know in your hearts the reality that Muslims in most parts of the world just want to get on with their lives like anyone else, and they come from different cultures, and traditions.

It is also true that the vast, peaceful, majority of Muslims must take some of blame as there is little moderate push back.

For example on this blog there is only me Naseem, any other muslim that comes along …gets vilified by you peoples…they have no room to breathe …in effect they are hounded out of JW…but you are not gonna get rid of me that easily. Well then if we are too wipe out the mosques out of Constantinople and boot out the Islamists and give that area back to Greece --everybody is invited to my place for ouzo and souvlaki ! On my moms side we have distant cousins who owned 50 acres in that area just outside the city of course that was confiscated over 80 years by the muslim authorities.

If that whole area there goes back into Greek European hands then Turkey's socalled foothold into Europe will be gone so will their excuse that they are officially "in" Europe.

I envision a Greek Constantinople with a large cosmopolitan downtown, filled with Europeans from all the countries partying and rejoicing that Islam has been booted out. Germans, French, English, Americans all welcome (actually anybody who doesnt want to strap bombs to their asses and blow innocents up would be welcome)...I could see it now. Just as France gave the Statue of Liberty to America the US would do the same for the new Greek province as a housewarming gift (if Republicans are running the States): They would send a large duplicate of the Statue of Liberty and it would be placed facing away from the cliffs of Greece facing towards the muslim Mecca but instead of holding a torch she would be holding out an outstreched fist with the middle finger proudly outstretched. The threat to world peace is Islam, because it cannot tolerate any other way of life or thought. All other ways of thinking and living must either be brought in line with Islam, be brought down in submission to it, or be ruthlessly destroyed should ANY resist it.

I am criticising Islam, therefore I am a threat to THEIR idea of peace (bowing and banging my head on the floor towards some black stone in Mecca). My resistance to their demands that I submit to their moon god-worshipping, pedophile prophet is a threat to them.

IF these people had an intelligent answer to any of the criticism, they could speak it, and teach their people how to answer it in a civilized manner. The fact that they cannot speaks volumes.
