In this week's Jihad Watch videoblog at HotAir, I discuss the Saddam Hussein death sentence, and what still needs to be done in Iraq to protect women and religious minorities there.

Okay just watched it. Lots of respect to you Robert Spencer for bringing up the atrocities on the Assyrians in Iraq.

Read some of the comments on HotAir & someone asked 'if we demand that they (Iraq) suspend Sharia law, then will they still be a democracy?" One commentor pointed out that if people suspend freedom in favour of Strict Sharia law, then that would be forfeiting democracy. Bingo- and we'd STILL have an obligation to intervein on behalf of the people IF the law resulted in crimes against humanity - some good talking points in the comments sections there.

The only use of a constitution based on Islam is as toilet paper. Any government based on the madness known as Islam is no government at all. It is a disaster, pure and simple.
As for Saddam, hang him high, hang him proud.

I am not happy to see Saddam hanging, especially at the hands of an islamic government.
After Japan and germany were occupied following their WW2 defeat, they didn't end up with a tyrannical government.
The first thing the "freed" Iraq government did was setting up an islamic government and an islamic constitution.
Where is the improvement there?
