Where did Nabeel Ahmed Issa al-Jaourah get that idea? Could it be from Qur'an passages such as 9:111, which guarantees Paradise to those who kill for Allah? It says: "Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain." And there are many more where that one came from. We are always told these passages do not mean what they clearly do mean, and that no Muslims take them literally, and yet again and again we see that they do.

AMMAN, Jordan — A Jordanian accused of opening fire on Western tourists in Amman's Roman amphitheater, killing a Briton and wounding six others, insisted in court Wednesday that God "blessed" him for the attack and said the British are enemies of Islam.Prosecutors say Nabeel Ahmed Issa al-Jaourah fired a pistol at Westerners visiting the historic site in September, killing British accountant Christopher Stokes. Five other tourists from Australia, Britain, the Netherlands and New Zealand were wounded, along with a Jordanian police officer.
"God blessed me when I killed a British man and hurt others, because they are fighting the Prophet and his soldiers since (the) Balfour Declaration," al-Jaourah told the military court. In the 1917 document, the British government promised to support the creation of Israel.
"The British people ... insulted the honorable Quran and women who wear the head cover," said al-Jaourah, who is a Jordanian citizen of Palestinian origin. He was apparently referring to comments by British House of Commons leader Jack Straw, who said in October that face-covering Muslim veils inhibit communication.
Al-Jaourah has pleaded innocent to murder charges. But after his comments, the prosecutor said he had confessed and urged the court "to hand him the harshest punishment."
Al-Jaourah faces a possible sentence of death by hanging if convicted. The trial resumes in a week.
The Sept. 4 shooting was a rare attack on tourists in Jordan. Prosecutors have said al-Jaourah acted alone and had no links to terrorist groups....
In a separate case Wednesday, Jordan's military court sentenced two Jordanians of Palestinian origin to 10 years in prison for trying to infiltrate Israel with automatic weapons to carry out attacks.
Another defendant in the case, Osama Taleb al-Mahdawi, 25, from the West Bank town of Tulkarem, was sentenced to a year in prison, and two other defendants were acquitted. The five defendants, arrested Jan. 8, lived in the northern refugee camp of Irbid.
After the judge read the verdict, the militants shouted, "God is great," knelt on the floor, and started to pray.
In another trial, an Iraqi accused of being a member of al-Qaida in Iraq railed at the presiding judge, praised Osama Bin Laden and called Jordan's King Abdullah II an infidel.
"Jordan is one of the bases for the American attacks on Iraq and trains the Iraqi police who, with the Shiites, want to destroy Iraq," Ziad Khalaf Raja al-Karbouly said. "I accuse all the rulers of this era of being infidels, including (King) Abdullah bin al-Hussein."
He told the court that he is "proud of being a member of al-Qaida and a soldier for Osama Bin Laden," adding that, "We in al-Qaida, will continue our holy war and our reward will be the dear virgins of heaven."

This coward had to be hiding across the street. Thank God is was too scared to get close. This is even more proof islam has no “warriors” only cowards who prey on the elderly, the weak and conduct cowardly sneak attacks. At least this one is off the streets.

I'm a little confused about something. I thought that Muslims normally had sex with virgins in THIS life. (Hymen restoration is even in demand for women who didn't wait for marriage). So does this mean that sex with a virgin wasn't all it was cracked up to be in real life after all? And do Muslim men think that repeating the experience 72 times in heaven will somehow make it better? And seriously, was it really all that bad on just the second go round in this life that Muslim men dream so much of the virgins in heaven? And what do Muslim women think of that? Naseem, for instance? Did your husband think you were just one big disappointment after that first time? And how did that make you feel personally knowing that your husband must have thought that you were all used up after that first time and spent the rest of his life fantasizing about virgins in paradise? And how does it make you (or any Muslim woman for that matter) feel imagining him banging them? And those poor Marie Claire models. Do they spend all that money on accessories and silver stiletto heels only to discover that they're all used up after one test drive, like a used car that was so shiny and new until it was driven just once off the lot and now its value has tanked? This concept of virgins in heaven is really so very peculiar from a psychological POV that inquiring minds really DO want to know.

Oh yeah - and I thought that Islam had such great respect for women and especially motherhood. But by definition, mothers are no longer virgins. So this suggests to me that Muslim men think that all mothers (including their own wives) are basically "washed up". There's no indication at least that Muslim men fantasize about meeting up with their wives after they die - which appears to be a fairly common fantasy among Christians - that they will somehow meet their loved ones on "the other side", virgins or not. Instead, Muslim men appear to fantasize about meeting up with complete strangers, the only criteria for desirability being that they have intact hymens. How does this demonstrate a value for women? Especially for the most important women in their own lives - presumably their wives? Obviously it demonstrates nothing of the sort. If ordinary Muslim men and women cannot see that this notion of virgins in heaven demonstrates the absolute falseness of Islam - because it turns all normal human values and sentiments on their head - then they are simply hopeless. Obviously it's tragic but it's also so darned ridiculous that it's comic, which in my humble opinion makes Islam history's greatest "tragicomedy"!

this statement has so much truth to it, even from Conservative talk show hosts, they cannot fathom the truth even when they can read it off the pages of the koran. it is against the very core of western civilizations to take these muslim savages at their words, at their deeds..

1)The word "slay" does not have too many meanings other than to kill. What's to misinterpret there?
2)The British are the enemy because they set the stage for creating Israel. Well, if it wasn't that then this nut would have picked another reason for his "holy" work.
3)The British are evil because of the Balfour Declaration. I guess they weren't so evil when they helped find oil in the Mideast and developed those oil fields that pays for much of cesspoolia's insanity. Of course that little fact is overlooked.
