Hamas can now boast of having the Grandmother from Hell, along with the Mother from Hell. "Grandmother in first Hamas suicide attack in two years," by Mahmud Hams for AFP:
JABALIYA, Gaza Strip (AFP) - A Palestinian grandmother blew herself up in the Gaza Strip, lightly wounding three Israeli soldiers, in the first suicide attack claimed by Hamas in almost two years.
The mother of nine and grandmother of 41 became the oldest Palestinian suicide bomber at the age of 57, selecting as her target troops operating near her northern Gaza home in Jabaliya, seeking to curb near-daily rocket attacks on Israel.
"Troops saw a woman approaching them in a suspicious manner and identified her carrying an explosive device," an army spokeswoman said.
"They then threw a stun grenade in her direction but she managed to blow herself up," she added, adding that three soldiers were lightly hurt.
Within minutes the armed wing of the Hamas claimed the bombing. This was the Islamist group's first suicide attack since January 2005, when a bomber wounded seven Israeli soldiers in Gaza.
"The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades claims the martyr operation carried out by Fatima Omar Mahmud al-Najar, aged 57, in the middle of a group of Zionist soldiers," an online statement said.
The operation came two weeks after the radical faction threatened to resume suicide bombings in response to a botched Israeli shelling in the Gaza town of Beit Hanun that killed 19 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
Najar was shown in a clip from a pre-taped video message aired on mainstream television stations, wearing a Hamas bandana in addition to a white veil and carrying a heavy kalashnikov, fighter-style in her arms.
"I am the martyr Fatima Najar from the town of Jabaliya. I work for the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades and I sacrifice myself for God, the nation, the Al-Aqsa (mosque in Jerusalem, the third holiest Muslim site)," she said.
Relatives said Najar left behind seven sons and two daughters, plus some 41 grandchildren, but insisted they were proud of her "martyrdom," which daughter Azhar said was a direct response to the Beit Hanun shelling.
"She did this operation in response to the Beit Hanun massacre. She was very moved by what happened," said Azhar, speaking from the family home in Jabaliya where relatives came to congratulate Najar's nearest and dearest.
Azhar also said her mother had taken part in a daring rescue operation, staged by Palestinian mothers and wives, who acted as human shields to free more than a dozen gunmen holed up in a Beit Hanun mosque on November 3.
"We are really happy. It's a big operation. She told us last night that she would do a suicide operation... We are proud," said Zuheir, Najar's 20-year-old son. "'I don't want anything, only to die a martyr.' That's what she said."

My guess is "granny" had some illness that would burden the family and this was a great way out that would provide $$$ to the surviving family or at least not burden them anymore.
Or maybe she was suffering from depression and finally had a way out of her miserable existence.
I can't feel sorry for her because of her willingness to be a human shield (if she did go willingly) and to blow herself up.
Then I have to wonder: did she intend NOT to hurt the soldiers and only blow herself up by walking "suspiciously?"

This is so sick. Note also that al-Najar was one of the Beit Hanun mosque human shields. I hate to say it, but when you think of the Israeli's restraint, you have to wonder how many other potential suicide bombers were spared. Thank god al-Najar killed no one but herself.
The image of relatives coming to congratulate her children and grandchildren on her grisly, uneccessary death seems especially poignant today. It's Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S. We sing:
Over the river and through the woods,
to grandmother's house we go!
The image of grandma on this day is a of a woman surrounded by visiting family, taking hot biscuits and pumpkin pies fresh from the oven.
Even when this image is a bit inaccurate, it is usually because grandma is taking the family out to Applebees or Boston Market instead of cooking, not because she is at some lonely checkpoint trying to blow up Israeli sons and daughters.

They definately do breed like rabbits - mother of 9 and grandmother of 41 and counting (whats the odds that the grandchildren count goes beyond 50), and all of these grandchildren will be so 'proud' that grandma blew herself to bits, and will want to follow in her wicked footsteps. Don't apply Western standards to this story. Think strategy. What is your enemy trying to do? They want to put enough pressure on Israel to make them miserable, but not enough to make them act. Hamas knows that Israel can destroy them. But they don't want peace and they don't want war. So, they just continue to allow attacks.
But I think the strategy is flawed. These actions have their own "blowback" and cause a destruction of their own society.

French soldiers in Lebanon who feel threatened by aggressive Israeli overflights are permitted to shoot at IAF fighter jets, a high-ranking French military officer told The Jerusalem Post.
Wednesday, several days after meeting with an IDF general in Paris to discuss what he said was a "blatant violation of the cease-fire."
Last weekend, Maj.-Gen. Ido Nehushtan, head of the IDF Planning Directorate, traveled to Paris and met with military officials to explain why the IAF flies over Lebanon despite the UN-brokered cease-fire.
Nehushtan, new to his post and previously deputy commander of the air force, told his French counterparts that Israel was conducting the flights to collect intelligence on Hizbullah positions in southern Lebanon.
According to the French officer, Nehushtan apologized for an incident on October 31 when an IAF fighter carried out a mock bombing run over a French UNIFIL position in southern Lebanon, almost prompting troops to fire anti-aircraft missiles.
"There was a reality on the ground and it was important for us to reaffirm what we had seen and explain clearly what are the orders of the French soldiers to protect themselves," the French officer said.
The French told Nehushtan they would view further aggressive flyovers as a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
"No assurances were made to us that they [the IAF] would stop [the flights]," the French officer said. "The orders that the [French] soldiers have is that their weapons are for self-defense and if a commander will feel threatened, as it was about to happen on the 31st of October, he would have the right to use force."
Milos Strugar, spokesman for UNIFIL, supported the French position, saying that according to the UN resolution, UNIFIL had the right to use force in self-defense, even against Israeli aircraft.
"UNIFIL has the right to take all necessary action to protect UN personnel in self-defense," he said.
France's furor at the overflights was not divorced from French domestic political considerations, government officials in Jerusalem said Wednesday.
France is scheduled to hold the first round of presidential elections in April, and one of those reportedly considering tossing her hat into the ring is Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie.
According to these officials, taking a tough stance toward Israel on the issue - a position that grabs headlines in France - helps her raise her profile.
The officials said it didn't hurt Alliot-Marie politically to be seen as someone who needed to be "held back" from responding forcefully to the overflights.
France has said on a few occasions since the end of the war that it came close to firing at Israeli jets over Lebanon. In late October, Alliot-Marie told parliament that Israeli F-15's had dived close to French positions in southern Lebanon.
"Our troops barely avoided a catastrophe," Alliot-Marie told parliament. "Our troops find themselves in a position where they have to fire in legitimate self-defense."
Alliot-Marie is a close ally of French President Jacques Chirac, and if Chirac does not decide to run for a third term, he may back Alliot-Marie to thwart his rival, Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy.
The Foreign Ministry, meanwhile, has not - contrary to some press reports - asked the IDF to stop the overflights, diplomatic officials said. Rather, they have passed on to the IDF European concerns that the flights be performed more discreetly, and not in a way that could be interpreted by either the Lebanese or the Europeans as a provocation.
Nehushtan declined to be interviewed for this report and the IDF Spokesman's Office released a statement confirming that the IDF general had visited Paris.

GAZA (Reuters) - Palestinian militant groups offered to stop firing rockets into Israel in exchange for a cessation of all attacks on the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, an official said on Thursday
Islamic Jihad leader Khader Habib said the main Palestinian factions including the governing Hamas group, the rival Fatah of President Mahmoud Abbas and other smaller groups reached the understanding while meeting Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh.
"For the good of the national Palestinian interest ... there is a position supporting calm (a ceasefire) by stopping rocket fire in return for an end to the aggression against our people in Gaza and the West Bank," Habib told Reuters...

Habib said a deal would only take effect after Israel agrees and actually ends military actions. The offer was limited ONLY to rocket firing and did NOT include other forms of attacks by militants such as cross-border attacks and suicide bombings.

Suicide bombing is a strategic weapon which Hamas uses to balance Israeli military power. They don’t own planes, tanks, missles, etc. Suicide bombers are driven by 2 passions : the desire to please Allah and to force Israeli withdrawal from the occupied territories.
There is nothing to justify suicide bombing, and there is no way to justify occupation. Both Palestinian and Israeli sides provoke each other. Provocation is always met by provocation. Force is met by force.
There is no end in sight for their conflicts until both sides sit down to make some painful compromise to make a careful balance of the situation.

It occurred to me after the insulting way that CAIR's Legal Director Arsalan Iftikhar, attempted to equate American’s concern over the “praying imams” on the airline with racism, which Iftikhar says “caused” slavery in the American South; that it was islam that actually revolutionized slavery and made it part of the ideology.
In fact, had it not been for islam, slavery in America would never have existed -- because it was the islamic slavers in Africa that had a developed and thriving market from which to purchase ships full of slaves bound for palaces like North Carolina. It was the islamics that in reality “caused” slavery in keeping with quaranic mandates; not the white Southerners.
One could argue that it was the white Southerners who bought the slaves; but they had to buy the slaves from someone, someplace. Those ‘somebodies,’ were the islamics in Africa who forced other human beings into slavery in the first place!
In fact, because of islam, there is a thriving slave market in Kosovo and Sudan to this day. Because of islam, human beings in the 21st Century are being forced from freedom into a life of hell in chains – because of islam.
Islam has glorified war, murder, killing and mayhem that is unique to religious thinking. No religion in history has been guilty of the kinds of criminal acts against human beings, nature, and God as has islam.
Islam, has fouled everything in contact with it and has defiled everything that is good and decent in God’s creation.
islam has putrefied the beauty of the human soul; defamed God’s given truth, and has been a singular source of more hatred and human misery, than all of the murderous ideologies invented by ruthless men of history combined.

The BBC shows up to provide live coverage of the shivering grasshopper; with cuts to a video of the squirrel in his comfortable warm home with a table laden with food.
The British press inform people that they should be ashamed that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so, while others have plenty.
The Labour Party, Greenpeace, Animal Rights and The Grasshopper Council of GB demonstrate in front of the squirrel's house.
The BBC, interrupting a cultural festival special from Notting Hill with breaking news, broadcasts a multi cultural choir singing "We Shall Overcome".
Ken Livingstone rants in an interview with Trevor McDonald that the squirrel got rich off the backs of grasshoppers, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the squirrel to make him pay his "fair share" and increases the charge for squirrels to enter inner London.
In response to pressure from the media, the Government drafts the Economic Equity and Grasshopper Anti Discrimination Act, retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The squirrel's taxes are reassessed.
He is taken to court and fined for failing to hire grasshoppers as builders for the work he was doing on his home and an additional fine for contempt when he told the court the grasshopper did not want to work.
The grasshopper is provided with a council house, financial aid to furnish it and an account with a local taxi firm to ensure he can be socially mobile. The squirrel's food is seized and re distributed to the more needy members of society, in this case the grasshopper.
Without enough money to buy more food, to pay the fine and his newly imposed retroactive taxes, the squirrel has to downsize and start building a new home.
The local authority takes over his old home and utilises it as a temporary home for asylum seeking cats who had hijacked a plane to get to Britain as they had to share their country of origin with mice. On arrival they tried to blow up the airport because of Britain's apparent love of dogs.
The cats had been arrested for the international offence of hijacking and attempted bombing but were immediately released because the police fed them pilchards instead of salmon whilst in custody.
Initial moves to then return them to their own country were abandoned because it was feared they would face death by the mice. The cats devise and start a scam to obtain money from people's credit cards.
A Panorama special shows the grasshopper finishing up the last of the squirrel's food, though spring is still months away, while the council house he is in, crumbles around him because he hasn't bothered to maintain the house.
He is shown to be taking drugs. Inadequate government funding is blamed for the grasshopper's drug 'illness'.
The cats seek recompense in the British courts for their treatment since arrival in UK.
The grasshopper gets arrested for stabbing an old dog during a burglary to get money for his drugs habit. He is imprisoned but released immediately because he has been in custody for a few weeks.
He is placed in the care of the probation service to monitor and supervise him. Within a few weeks he has killed a guinea pig in a botched robbery.
A commission of enquiry, that will eventually cost £10,000,000 and state the obvious, is set up.
Additional money is put into funding a drug rehabilitation scheme for grasshoppers and legal aid for lawyers representing asylum seekers is increased.
The asylum-seeking cats are praised by the government for enriching Britain's multicultural diversity and dogs are criticised by the government for failing to befriend the cats.
The grasshopper dies of a drug overdose. The usual sections of the press blame it on the obvious failure of government to address the root causes of despair arising from social inequity and his traumatic experience of prison.
They call for the resignation of a minister.
The cats are paid a million pounds each because their rights were infringed when the government failed to inform them there were mice in the United Kingdom.
The squirrel, the dogs and the victims of the hijacking, the bombing, the burglaries and robberies have to pay an additional percentage on their credit cards to cover losses, their taxes are increased to pay for law and order and they are told that they will have to work beyond 65 because of a shortfall in government funds.

I just got off the phone with my step-son. He is quite the scholar. He is working on his MA in history as tells me that we are in historical times right now.
He claims that the Imams in Iran have given their blessings to a new growing industry. It is stem cell research. I asked him if he believed that we could see Islamic clones in the future. I just finished reading pages 57-58 of Roberts Book " The Truth About Muhammad" , It's the chapter which describes Paradise.
It's shocking that almost everything that the Faithful will receive in Paradise is almost all based on selfish desire and greed. things like Voluptous Virgins that will Forever remain Virgins , Thrones of gold and Jewel, Dishes and Goblets of Gold which their eyes could deligh, and oh of course Youthful Boys " Of perpetual Freshness " etc...

In another move France fired 5 Nuclear missiles at Israel, killing the majority of the Jewish population. The French government said that this action was taken to remove the main road block to peace in the Middle East, they stated that the decision was taken after an Israeli fly flew over a French army unit helping Hezbollah setting up one of their missile batteries. Another Government spokesman said at last we have got rid of that shitty little country that caused us all those problems.

My very own grandma told me tales of how she and other German womenfolk took care of Russian POW's in WW2 - as much as everyone'd been told to stay away from the POW camps. She told me they all knew the Russians to be enemies but they couldn't stomach to hear their cries for bread in the cold of night.
And she told me all the German women who snuck up to the POW camps at night to heave bread over the barbed wire had the hope that somewhere in Russia there'd be Russian women doing exactly the same thing for German POW's.
This may not seem like very much, but i guarantee you this would never ever happen in an Islamic place of captivity for one of ours. This took many years for her to tell me... not like she was very proud of it all...

When I grew up in post-war Germany all I ever heard was that there could never be as great an evil and a wrong as what we'd committed in that war. And it was quite demoralizing for such a young soul as mine.. and I am sure those of my young compatriots as well.
If *only* that Germany's collective transgression against Mankind would have served to give pause eternally to all Mankind to consider from now on what they do to their fellow Human Beings!
We believeved that the horror of the Holocaust to be a wake-up call to all Mankind - one which noone would ever wish to see repeated ever again.
We now know the opposite to be the case in the islamic world. Let it be known that now there truly is no more excuse before God. Not that there ever was before.
But to pursue these very same evils against other Wo/Men now that this has been clearly documented for eternity simply boggles my mind.
Too many in Europe seek to find a "cheap way out" of this moral quagmire by trying to find blame with Israel these days.. as if finding fault with the Jewish State were a way to find absolution of our guilt.
Instead of finding an easy way out we need to accept what we have done and the guilt that comes with that... and the responsability.. We cannot change the past for Chrissakes.. but we CAN influence the future.
THIS is what disappoints me most about my German countrymen.. they seem to seek a cheap way out of our guilt rather than owning up to it and from now on to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again!

What has NEVER AGAIN become in Europe, it means NEVER AGAIN by our hands, but we will sit on our hands when someone else does it.
I still find that normal people are still pulling for Israel, but it is the left and the elites and the leaders of our societies that want to destroy Israel in a misguided thought process that if the Muslims have this focal point of hate removed then they will calm down. What a sad sick joke that is.
At 13 years of age I cried watching a documentary on the holocaust.
I see the future for Israel and the Jews and I scream inside, how can we let this happen, how sick are our leaders, the shame of this is almost too much to bear, and I can do nothing, but prepare myself to grieve for the Jews that are soon to be slaughtered by this death cult.

Wa `alaykum As-Salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh to you for asking such an important question.
As you know, Islam is a religion that encompasses all aspects of life and secures guidance and light for all mankind....the Kafur is simply misguided.
The major purposes of marriage in Islam is procreation, as it is the divinely appointed method of propagating human species on the face of the earth. Islam considers children as a source of blessing. The Prophet exhorted his people to “marry and procreate.” Accordingly, Islam encourages having many children and has blessed both male and female progeny.
The common method of contraception at the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was coitus interruptus (withdrawal of the penis from the vagina just before ejaculation) thus preventing semen from entering the vagina.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said, 'We practiced coitus interruptus during the time of Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) while the Qur’an was being revealed.' (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim)
He came to know about it, but he did not prohibit it.'
There are a few Valid Reasons for Contraception:
1) fear that the pregnancy or delivery might endanger the life or health of the mother; Allah Almighty says: '... And do not be cast into ruin by your own hands....' (Al-Baqarah: 195) and, '... and kill not one another. Lo! Allah is ever Merciful unto you.' (An-Nisa': 29)
2)fear that the burden of children may hamper the family’s circumstances so much that one might accept or do something haram (unlawful) to satisfy their needs. Allah says: '... Allah desires ease for you, and He does not desire hardship for you...' (Al-Baqarah: 185) and, '... It is not Allah’s desire to place a burden upon you...' (Al-Ma'idah: 7)
3)fear that the new pregnancy or a new baby might harm a suckling child. Muhd SAW termed intercourse with a nursing mother, 'Gheelah,' emphasizing the fact that pregnancy would pollute the milk thus causing great harm to the suckling infant. 'Do not kill your children secretly, for Gheelah overtakes the rider and throws him from the horse.'
4) Giving birth is the right of both husband and wife, and neither one of them has the right to deprive the other from doing so.
5) It is prohibited to take any measure, which would permanently prevent pregnancy, or cause infertility.
3. It is prohibited to use any birth control method which would harm the body, as Muhd said: 'Do not (impose) harm, nor (inflect) harm.'"
From an Islamic point of view the ideal spacing between two children is thirty months.

You know, maybe there is more to it than what we are being told. Maybe she had some terminal disease or continuous pain that made killing hereself look like a good bet. Maybe all the "we're so proud of her" B.S. is just that. I'm guessing she had more motivation than to just annihilate a few Israelis. She had to have some other motive.
