More Internet Jihad. From WCBSTV.com, with thanks to Twostellas:
(CBS/AP) WASHINGTON The government issued an alert Thursday to U.S. stock market and banking Web sites about a possible Internet attack from a radical Muslim group, but said the threat was unconfirmed and seemed to pose no immediate danger. The notice was issued after officials noticed a posting on a "Jihadist Web site" calling for an attack on American financial web sites in December, said Homeland Security Department spokesman Russ Knocke.
"There is no information to corroborate this aspirational threat," Knocke said, adding that the alert was issued "as a routine matter and out of an abundance of caution. There is no immediate threat to our homeland at this time."
The Web site calls for attacks against American economic sites in retaliation for Muslims being held at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, which houses prisoners accused of ties to terrorism groups, said another government official.
The site called for attackers to use viruses that can penetrate Internet sites and destroy data stored there.

Interesting Robert ! a little story:
Coincidently, last week here in Canada , Friday i believe the entire Online banking network went down. Nobody could use their Debit cards or access their accounts for almost a full day . i remember this happenning a couple of other times a couple of years ago and i work in sales and for the day the business was crippled, the point is that it basically brings daily operations to a grinding halt. i don't usually carry cash and this incident really played havoc with me. I could not get money ,so i could not get food or Gas , or anything. I was at the Grocery store and there were a hundred people lined up ten people deep at each till with Groceries they coyld not pay for etc... Canadians are among the largest users of Debit and Interac banking in the world and hardly anyone i know carries cash anymore. lately i've been reading more about Online Jihad , and Computer havoc and the first thing i thought of when this happens was that it was Terrorist related. i think this is an area that we are VERY vulnerable. we place so much faith in the Cyberworld that i think this could seriously be am Achilles heal of Biblical proportions. in the matter of a few moments we were thrown back into the Dark ages so to speak.
it's terrifying and i'm becoming less and less confident in leaving my disposable cash in the Banks . I think it may be a good idea to keep a percentage of our money in real cash , maybe keep it in the mattress like in the ol days.
This is going to be a major problem if they are ever successful at crippling us economically like this. i think a lot of people think they will hit Financial centers , but this incident at home , although not terrorist related , gave me pause. they don't have to blow up a Finacial centre to cripple us . If they can Hack into the major systems , it is US who will be knocked back into the Stone Age.
It's Frightening.

Basically what i am saying is that we have Way too much faith in the Online world.
We are exposed.

Sad to say, DUGGY, you're right for the most part.
Actually you have a gift for understatement, lol
The "plastiphiles" will freak like chicken little...many of us are used to going back to paper if need be, but many are not.
Your take is good, though...much of our financials are based on electronic transactions.
Problem isn't attacks from without as they're easier to spot...but from within (yes, as in programmers who are sympathizers and wouldn't hesitate to do so).
There is one positive to consider...attacks of that kind are usually not announced (we've had several unannounced)...but we're still taking them all seriously.
It may be a bluff, but since asumptions are the mother of all F'ups, well...you get the idea.

Meanwhile, back in this country where hundreds of billions are now spent defending against Muslims here and abroad, two million dollars has been awarded to a Muslim in Oregon for being wrongly suspected of something and incarcerated for all of two weeks. In Saudi Arabia, Westerners have routinely been seized, tortured, imprisoned for years, and threatened sometimes with execution. And this happens in other Muslim countries as well. I have yet to hear of a single Infidel recovering, not two million dollars, but two dollars, for time spent wrongly in Muslim prisons, condemned by Muslim justice.
What's wrong with this picture? Why could not that Oregon lawyer have received an apology and leave it at that? He did not suffer any permanent damage. Since when are two weeks worth two million dollars?
Who is minding the store? Quis custodiet custodes? They are idiots, those custodes. Handing out hundred-thousand dollar bills, as if they were confetti. Why? Afraid of CAIR? Afraid of something?

Duggy,
It is precisely my concern with the electronic transfers and the possibility of not having access to my money that I still have checks, I do not use a check card either. I suggest that all should keep a stash of money in their homes like they should be keeping an emergency kit. Keeping it under the mattress as you suggested is just plain stupid. Invest in a good, waterproof, fireproof safe and keep enough money for your survival needs. I suggest about a week's worth. Keep all your important documents in a safe which is bolted to the floor. I live in tornado alley, so my greatest concern is having my house blow up. Still, my safe will survive!

If they don't like us HOLDING them there.. I suggest firing squads for 'instant martyrdom'.

So what happens when the dollar isn't worth jack-squat anymore? Do we start hoarding gold? Man things could get hairy...

This is a long time concern allready and they prepare for something bigger than that and not even shy away to announce it.
Most of the people play it down not realizing that this is just basic practical exercise they are doing at the moment.
How many websites have been hacked the last 3 months? Are there any statistics.
These jihadists are everywhere, in major internet companies, open source, yahoo just a few to mention.
Does anyone really believe that they are moderate?

"Residents use pig races to deter building of mosque"
is the title of aladdinsane57's link post. Its hilarious! lol. I wonder if we can start marketing a "Islam BE GONE" spray made mostly of eau de swine. The ad lingo could be "real pork spray to keep Muhammed away!" and we could have girls with burkas dancing around and when they are sprayed---the burkas dissolve to reveal beautiful infidel women in the latest fashions. hahaha Im all for that.\

This from a post on Dhimmi Watch.....
Sadly, Europe is dead, it just hasn't hit the ground yet. Demography is destiny and Europe's demographic fate is a mathematical certainty.
The birth rate of muslims within the UK is almost exactly ten times that of the "euro" population who are not even close to having enough babies to delay, let alone prevent, their eventual near-extinction and dominance by the muslim immigrant population. By 2040, every major city in the Netherlands will likely be majority muslim. Malmo, Sweden may beat that date by a significant margin. Today, one third of the inhabitants of France under the age of 20 are Muslims whose population enjoys an extremly robust, developing world birthrate which dwarfs that of european French. It is the same across the continent. Do the math.....
There are other posts similar to this one here and on Dhimmi watch but the solution to the above problem is really very simple.
The UK can vote BNP , the lesser of two evils.
No riots, bloodshed or bullets involved...just the
stroke of a pen...problem solved.
The voters have the option , if they do not take
it they deserve all they get.

Dog farms and racings at the other side would be appropiate too.

How are they taking care of their breeds? one must wonder.
OK, no schools and education for them we leaned already,
What else?

Pig racing is a great way to prevent muslims from invading your neighbourhood.
To do this in public, you would have to have permission from your local council. However, if people who were opposed to Islam were elected to local council, then they could give permission for Friday pig races.
Maybe streets could be blocked off, or something similar.

Back to the topic
What bothers me is that news talking about a possible qaida attack.
In fact its an attack from islam to destroy the same way as we see in Somalia, Thailand, Iraq and elsewhere.
They are riding Satan, not singular groups but ALL.
I wouldn't be able to stand my faith if I'd be a muslim.
Pretty clear
The world is just reluctant to answer to the war declared upon us by islam.
If continued like this we can't stand for long.

Found this on Anti Cair. Very interesting
Then there's the case of Muhammed al-Qudhaieen and Hamdan al-Shalawi, two Arizona college students removed from an America West flight after twice trying to open the cockpit. The FBI suspected it was a dry run for the 9/11 hijackings, ... Defending them was none other than the leader of the six imams kicked off the US Airways flight this week. Turns out the students attended the Tucson, Ariz., mosque of Sheikh Omar Shahin, a Jordan native. Shahin has been the protesters' public face, ... In an Arizona Republic interview after 9/11, he acknowledged once supporting Osama bin Laden through his mosque in Tucson. FBI investigators believe bin Laden set up a base in Tucson.

More to it,
"These people don't continue to come back to Arizona because they like the sunshine or they like the state," said FBI agent Kenneth Williams. "Something was established there, and it's been there for a long time." And Shahin appears to be in the middle of it ...CAIR asserts the imams are peace-loving patriots. "It's inappropriate to treat religious leaders that way," ...

To single out a few is the greatest mistake.
Look at their symbol of using veils, should tell a lot I guess.
It's a network intermingled with islam as a whole. Islam as an error is intermingled with t-error and vice versa.
We have to fight the cause altogether and not the symptoms(t-error) only.

WASHINGTON The government issued an alert Thursday to U.S. stock market and banking Web sites about a possible Internet attack from a radical Muslim group, but said the threat was unconfirmed and seemed to pose no immediate danger.
Oh come on now; you're not looking at the big picture.
The important thing to remember is that these people were given access to these systems and trained how to use them in the first place because THEY WORK CHEAP, and that is GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY.
Besides, Americans are just too stupid and unqualifed for these positions; are too expensive -- good gawd, you have to pay them sick time and other benefits; and besides American workers don't want these high tech jobs!
So there are a couple of glitches once in a while -- like the whole damn market system collapsing because of malicious coding -- it will all work out ... eventually.
But the good news is always: unemployment is at record lows, the economy is posed for record growth, stocks are healthy -- and all is right in the perfect world.
Remember: "think profits."
