Here is an idea- none of these goat-abusers are under control of any authority in the Middle-East. This is probably only part of the story; part of the problem was music the other part was the refusal to pay a “support tax” to the local jihadi recruiters. They don’t like losing money nor do they like the kids listening to foreign music. It might motivate them to dress and act western. I read recently on an Islamic web sites (Ask-Imam.com?) that music per se, is not forbidden under Islam, but NON RELIGIOUS music is discouraged. As long as the music advances the cause and glory of Islam, it is permitted, so Yusef Islam (AKA Cat Stevens) would still have a gig as long as he performed such hits as:

It is not just hardliners. My muslim neighbour's ( all living in Mumbai(Bombay) husband does not allow music of any kind in his house. It was mentioned very matter of factly as someone stating he/she is allergic to some foodstuff.

They are not the hijab or veil sporting ones but wear trendy clothes.

we are always reading about the importance of the Internet to jihadis, how they use it to keep in touch with each other, research bomb materials, track down their victims, etc, so won't this hinder their operations ?

All people have to do to find a parallel with the bombings of music stores that offer Internet service is read about the Taliban's rule in Afghanistan. Like the masked gunmen in Gaza, the Taliban banned music, movie theaters, television and even the Internet. The Taliban even destroyed stores that provided these services.

Furthermore, if there are any Suphies living in Gaza, they had better leave the area soon. Since Suphis sing and dance as part of their religious services, they would be targets for persecution by groups like the Swords of Islam.
