More on Derrick Shareef's jihad. "Feds arrest man on terrorism-related charges," by Natasha Korecki for the Chicago Sun Times, with thanks to Jeffrey Imm:
A Rockford man allegedly planned to set off hand grenades in garbage cans at a shopping mall near Rockford as part of his plot to let the world know “the time for jihad is now.”Derrick Shareef, 22, targeted the Cherry Vale shopping mall, which has about 130 retail stores. But in recorded conversations he said the mall was “just one potential place,” and that he hoped to one day “smoke a judge,” according to the federal charges.
Should he die before the attack, Shareef made a videotape statement to explain his actions.
“I am from America, and this tape is to let you guys know, who disbelieve in Allah, to let the enemies of Islam know, and to let the Muslims alike know that the time for jihad is now...be strong, oh Mujahideen...May Allah protect me on this mission we conduct...so do not cry, do not mourn for me,” he said, according to the FBI affidavit.
Oh, no worries. I won't.

Perhaps, then again they only report what comes over the wire services, but CNN did report that he is a convert to Islam.

If you listen to a local talk radio program out of Chicago wlsam -- they can't make heads or tails of why this crazy individual acting on his own, why JUST HAPPENS TO LOOK "Mediteranian" would do this sort of thing.
Must be the holidays and the holiday depression; but of course, you will have the IGNORANT BIGOTS who will presuppose that this has something to do with islam.

I would bet most victims would be women and children, christmas shopping. Muslim have a long history of killing women and children.. Just look at Iraq, Israel, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia, or anywhere else infested by Muslims.

Uh, what's this about Faux News?
Fox is the only one who is showing this story as their main headline online right now. MSNBC has it as a smaller story. Yahoo News has it. It's on the Reuters main site. Even the New York Times has it listed on their main page.
CNN? Zip. Nil. Nada. Zilch. It seems I can only pull up the story by typing in a search of cnn.com. If CNN that was the only place I read the news, I'd never know about this. Unbelievable, but I shouldn't be as surprised as I am.

These are the types that get recruited to blow themselves up in car bombs. They're not capable of planning anything, but they can do a reasonable imitation of a proximity fuse.
Islam is popular with convicts because they need never reform their behavior. It seems that they simply justify their malevolence using the words and perfect example of their prophet. But given Islam's popularity in prison, would it be reasonable to have every prison turned into a mosque...and every mosque into a prison?

Derrick Shareef should get the death penalty. We must send a message to muslims that there is zero tolerance for this behaviour. the only problem is that our judicial system do not have the guts to impose it.
