Here's a timely response dated March 24, 1944.

The second reason we are fighting is to defeat and wipe out the Nazis who started all this goddamned son-of-bitchery. They didn't think we could or would fight, and they weren't the only ones who thought that, either. There are certain people back home who had the same idea. Both were wrong.

The third reason we are fighting is because men like to fight. They always have and they always will. Some sophists and other crackpots deny that. They don't know what they're talking about. They are either goddamned fools or cowards, or both. Men like to fight, and if they don't they're not real men.

If you don't like to fight, I don't want you around. You'd better get out before I kick you out. But there is one thing to remember. In war, it takes more than the desire to fight to win. You've got to have more than guts to lick the enemy. You must also have brains. It takes brains and guts to win wars. A man with guts but no brains is only half a soldier. We licked the Germans in Africa and Sicily because we had brains as well as guts. We're going to lick them in Europe for the same reason.

There might be many peaceful Muslims in this country, but that is no reason for us to sit around waitng for one of them to go off like a time bomb, as with a Shareef. So long as those "peaceful" Muslims don't admit too, and confront, the murderous doctrines of their religion, we can expect these time bombs to go off at different places and different times so long as Muslims are amoung us.
Why should Christians, Jews, hindus, Budhist, and other truly peaceful religions have to live in fear of a faith that doesn't even share the most elementary understanding of what is is to be tolerant of other peoples beliefs -- and, in fact, consider it a duty to persecute them for their beliefs.
Our constitution's guarantee of religious freedom was never intended to protect a freedom to kill others in the name of God.
If Muslim "moderates" in this country can't admit candidly the violent character of their religion, and take strong and decisive steps to purge themselves of the murderous doctrines of their religion, they shouldn't be here among the rest of us.

I sit now listening to Michael Savage discussing this story, thinking "What's it going to take?" What is it going to take before the suicidal, arrogant, liberal fools of American finally wake up and realize just how evil and pervasive the threat of Islam really is? Not since the War of 1812 have we been actually been forced to fight on our own soil against a foreign invader. This time, however, the enemy didn't need to make use of giant armadas of invading battlefleets and giant cannon. Our own leaders, media, and intellectual "elites" foolishly invited them in under the pretense of politically correct "diversity." Now, to compound the disaster, they have allowed them to spread their Islamic propaganda openly to recruit dangerous, domestic criminals and losers such as this guy as allies.
All I can say at this point is "Thank God for the Second Amendment!" Any one of us on this site may be the victim of a planned attack like this at any moment in our own home towns. At least being able to legally own firearms gives me comfort that we still have the means to defend our homes, families, and friends if ever attacked......

I came across this story at work today while searching google news. The title was something like lone wolf wanted to strike mall. Buried in the story was him muttering something about Jihad. One other thing: As a convert to Islam, this clown obviously attended a mosque somewhere. I'm guessing that there were Imans or others there who stoked and encouraged his ideas. I want to know who they are. I want their names made public and then I want the FBI and other Federal authorities to either charge them with aiding/abetting or incitement. Failing that, they should at least be put under intensive surveillance until such time as a case can be built for their permanent deportation.
