UPDATE: Welcome, Esmayites! Unlike Mr. Esmay, we believe in free speech here: you are entirely free to express your opinions in the comments field below or in any other comments field here. (However, if you share your hero's taste for brazen misrepresentations and unprovoked, unhinged, slavering personal attacks, complete with spittle, at least wear a bib.) While you're here, I invite you to consider the evidence.
*****************************
Vote for the American who behaved in the most pusillanimous, abject, and/or suicidally stupid way in the face of Islamic jihadist bullying and intimidation, peaceful or violent. To avoid confusion, long tedious ballots, and hanging chads, we have placed only the six most-often nominated people on the ballot:
Note: last year many people were angry because I placed George W. Bush on the ballot. Allow me, therefore, to reiterate that I have placed these six names on the ballot because they were most often nominated here. If you don't like a choice, vote for someone else. Likewise, and in a very different way, it is ridiculous to have the yipping chihuahua Dean Esmay on this list, but again, I went with the most often-nominated people.

So many worthy choices. I would have gone with Carter except he's such a wordly guy these days that I felt he'd be better suited for the International division. Plus, he's trying his best to exterminate Israel. Rice and Baker also seem better suited for International Dhimmi for the same reasons. I had to go with Pelosi, the worst of the remaining cretins although they too are worthy of the dishonor-I felt Pelosi goes the extra mile for bringing us the joys of dhimmitude so I felt her efforts should be rewarded.

My choice would be determined by who has had -- or potentially has -- the most deleterious influence. My trigger finger thus initially twitched toward GW Bush for his two intolerable errors of 1) thinking Muslims desire democracy and 2) his vomitively reiterated mantra "Islam is a religion of peace" coupled with Ramadan celebrations in the White House and the like; but because he has also pursued eminently rational tactics such as trying to treat Muslim prisoners outside of Geneva convention rules, spying on American immigrants and citizens, and monitoring international finances of people without their consent, my finger wavered, and I remembered how influential the disastrously PC Nancy Pelosi will likely become; so:
I vote for:
Nancy Pelosi

I voted for James Baker cuz he's so amazingly craven, pompous, and dangerous at the same time.
The squalid Jimmy (who's been soiling his underwear all over the map for decades now) is becoming more of a tired joke and less of a virile vigorous Super Dhimmi.
Much more surgical in his operations, James is much more dangerous than Jimmy.
Jimmy, blinded by ignorance and not sated with the creation of the Palestinian Authority and the election of a terrorist government there, now wants to further empower the Palestinans and destroy Israel.
True, that's awesome Dhimmi performance. But James wants to engage the Syrians and Iranians to bring peace to Iraq, and in exchange America will relinquish the Golan Heights.
Now that's suicidally stupid.

Dhimmi Carter deserves a career award and shouldn't be eligible for the annual award.
What makes Baker the winner for 2006 is that, Quisling-like, he is bringing both left and right to accept Carter-like policy.

We have some real examples of pure Dhimmitude, where the person really believes it, doesn't just act on it. Carter is perhaps most that way.
However, I voted for Rice because she wants to mindlessly add Turkey to the EU.
Turkey has been the main enemy of Europe for over 500 years. To just give it Europe after all the sacrifice and deaths to stop it is the greatest betrayal.

This one is the easiest choice. I gave it to Dhimmi Carter for his long career of craven appeasement, incompetent leadership and general boot licking attitude. Pelosi and Baker are also deserving, but they haven't got the resume Carter does.

I vote for Bush because, as president, he can do the most damage as a dhimmi, and he has done lots by letting in all those saudi exchange students, some of which we know are terrorists in waiting. He has also allowed in and allowed to stay most of the illegals from Mexico. He has also been the highest ranking member of government to declare islam a religion of peace. He is also the up to his ears in saudis and their backroom deals. He has also allowed his administration to become infiltrated with islamic agents from a myriad of islamic organziations.
The others on the list are islamic sympathizers, a different category. A dhimmi is one who caves in to islamic power and demands. The others have not. They promote islam by their own ideology. Bush, is simply a dolt who accepts his islamic oil masters. A true definition of a dhimmi.

Jhimmi Carter deserves much more than 'American Dhimmi of the Year' - he merits a lifetime award
with oak leaf clusters for mendacity and plagiarism. (See the maps he stole from Dennis Ross and used in his new book on Israel)
What a vicious fool...

George Dubya.
Jhimmy Carter and the rest are very worthy choices, but Jhimmi is completely irrelevant and Baker should get the Cy Young. Jhimmi deserves a Lifetimt Achievement Award of Dhimmitude though.
But it is BUSH who is doing all the damage. And let's not forget how close he is with the SOWdis.

I would make the argument that Dean Esmay is far to insignificant an individual to make this list. Unlike the opinions of the others on this list, however misguided they may be, his isn't worth a tinkers dam, and is barely even worthy of ridicule. But I guess the other posters didn't agree.

As long as Jimmy is on the list you must vote Jimmy. No matter who or what has happened. He is and will always be the Dhimmi of them all. G.W. should be on the list and is a Dhimmi but no one will ever outshine Mr. Peanut.
In fact the American Dhimmi award should be a Giant Golden Peanut in his honor.

Using standard test-taking technique, I was able to cross dubya off the list right away, because he at least made an effort to break free of his dhimmitude... But how on earth does one differentiate between the rest????
Okay, I can narrow it down to Dhimmi Carter, Condi & BaKKKer. I would vote for all 3 if I could, but I will give the nod to Carter because, for him, it certainly is a lifetime achievement!

We should send them all t-shirts with the phrase, "We're not worthy" because no matter how much groveling they do toward Mucca and the religion of piss, they are still infidels until they convert.
Former President Carter doesn't have the sense to understand that appeasement never works with bullys or terrorists.
James Baker is practically a Saudi lobbyist and his Iraq report, no doubt, pleases his masters very much.
Nambla Pelosi serves whichever master can advance her political aspirations and elevate her above the masses. Her chief goal is self-aggrandizement at the expense of the inconsequential, little people whose values and beliefs prevent them from selling out to the puppet masters.
Condoleeza Rice needs to reexamine her dhimmi-placations and self-flagellations. Terrorists (Palestinians included) have nothing in common with the Civil Rights Movement. Rosa Parks never packed dynamite.
With leaders like this, who needs enemies?

My vote goes to GW Bush for being America's worst ever wartime President. First, he told people to go shopping rather than become engaged against the worldwide caliphate scourge. Then he babbled for years that "Islam is the Religion of Peace" despite all evidence to the contrary.
Bush has celebrated Ramadan in the White House, for heaven sake. Imagine if FDR had used the White House to welcome Japanese or Nazi militarists in 1942. Of course, Roosevelt never would have considered being hospitable to enemies during wartime.
All the while Bush has left our borders wide open for terrorists and Mexicans.

I know some may have expected me to vote for someone else...but this time, I have to vote for George W Bush, hands down.
Carter?...sourpussed loser who can't let go & was responsible for allowing islamo-fascism to proliferate...most of us laugh at him anyway.
James Baker?...his goal is to remain a relevant good-ole-boy in the american apparatchick of washington beltway politics. No cigar...
Esmay is merely a militant hyperpolitical partisan & qualifies for articles of treason & sedition...well beyond the scope of this poll.
An islami-commie brown shirt punk. Nope...
Nancy Pelosi...she's more involved in her own turf wars and not as pro-maniac as appears (although she is not in americas best interest, but for different reasons). She'll self-implode on her own. Nah...
Condi?...a Foreign Minister by another name, her rhetoric does obfuscate, but if push comes to shove, she's on Israels side, although she's only doing the bidding of her boss...which comes to the brass tacks.
George W Bush...I hate to say it, but his naivete is beyond colossal. He should know better than to try and accommodate some of those lunatics, especially some who have been invited to the White House. Although he maintains his position with iran, his attitude with the rest of them is beyond atrocious.
For the American President to do such things is irresponsible, naive, and downright suicidal, not only for our nation, but for western civilization in general.
His achilles heel isn't kissing up to them...his fatal flaw is POLITICAL CORRECTNESS.
The kicker is...I voted for him both times (not because he was the best, but the lesser of the evils. Had Joe Liebermann ran against him W would have LOST, and W even admits it too).
Hey...the shoe fits. Sorry.

Wow, read this attack by Deannio "you're a traitor if you disagree with me!!!111" esmay
they gather together a bunch of ersatz "research" that they intentionally slant in a particular way, then they demand that you "debate" them. When you refuse to play their head games, they then triumphantly announce victory.
Wow, that's pretty much his playbook on the HIV/AIDS link. He cites some discredited researcher (just one mind you) and demands you debate him; when you disprove all his arguments he gets spitting mad.

Gotta be Dubya, based upon the same criteria I used for the Internationale edition of Dhimmi. Recall his failure to detain certain Saudi nationals for questioning following 9/11. Recall his support of the UAE takeover of US portland management. Recall his ill-conceived invasion of Iraq with its shifting objectives: first to find WMDs followed by a Crusade -can I say that word?- to bring democracy to the benighted Iraqi people.
The other candidates are fools. Dubya is a fool and a knave.

Oh yes, he's redeeming himself trather nicely in the eyes of his investors, er i meant his masters.
Sorry, I am very disappointed how few votes this foolish and so very dangerous man is getting. He's like the captain of the Titanic. Iceberg? what iceberg? At least the iceberg hadn't lined the sad captain's pockets.
Bush has clearly done the most damage. all the candidates are obvously in worthy contention. But Carter is merely a foil for the much more insidious minion GW Bush. The worst that Dhimmi Cater can do is build mosks-for-humanity..
Better NOT give him any ideas. He MAY just do it.

Carter should know that the US is a great country, the ones wearing the "white hats", but he is most liberal looney around.
Truly this man was the worst president, remember him wearing those warm sweaters, telling people how to stay warm! He was such a downer, and depressing man. Well, as an Esmayite, I'll do my best not to slaver. Anyway, Esmayites and Spencerites alike, we all believe primarily in individual freedom. As voluble as they've been (often unnecessarily, on both sides), the differences are mostly in terms of how best to preserve those freedoms.
I don't always agree with Dean, and I think a lot of what Jihad Watch does is useful, as the media is largely too frightened and/or PC to take on Muslim extremists. OTOH, I think some of it is counterproductive or inflammatory, and tends to push moderate Muslims away from the liberal ideals we hope Muslims as a whole will embrace to a greater degree.

Glenn Reynolds does not allow comments on his site at all. Does he not believe in free speech? Meryl Yourish does not allow anti-Israel comments on her site, does she not believe in free speech?
The thing is that you can always write your own views on your own blog. However no one has the 'right' to say whatever they like on someone else's blog. Its just not a free speech issue.
