Bolton wants Iranian leader charged with inciting genocide

John Bolton shows himself deserving of this year's Anti-Dhimmi Award. "Bolton wants Iranian leader charged: U.N. ambassador says Ahmadinejad’s Holocaust remarks incite genocide," from Reuters, with thanks to Kemaste:

NEW YORK - Outgoing U.S. U.N. Ambassador John Bolton and former diplomats from Israel and Canada called on the United Nations on Thursday to charge Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with inciting genocide.

The U.N. International Court of Criminal Justice should charge Ahmadinejad for his threats against the United States, for calling for the destruction of Israel and for instigating discrimination against Christians and Jews, the group said.

“It’s important that if we are in this stage where we’re being given early warning, unambiguously, on what his intentions are, then it’s time to take action,” Bolton told a Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations symposium.

Ahmadinejad caused outrage in the West last year by calling for Israel to be “wiped off the map,” echoing comments by the Islamic Republic’s late founder, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Speaking at a Tehran conference on Tuesday that questioned the Holocaust, in which 6 million Jews were killed by the Nazis, Ahmadinejad said Israel’s days were numbered.

Iran is accused by the West of seeking to develop nuclear weapons, but it insists it wants nuclear power only to generate electricity. Ahmadinejad said in August Iran was not a threat to any country, “not even to the Zionist regime.”

“Iran and the government that President Ahmadinejad leads is not simply a regime that engages in hateful rhetoric,” said Bolton, whose temporary appointment as U.N. ambassador ends with the current U.S. Congressional term.

“It is seeking to acquire capabilities, which when married with the intentions that they talk of, has to be of very grave concern to the United States and all its friends and allies, in particular Israel.”

The Demoncrats and Republicans RINO will rue the day they ousted Bolton from the UN, this is one great man that Bush did not fight hard enough to keep and his party that became cowards. Strong men in the West like Bolton are envied and castigated because the left knows they are look even more weak next to great men like Bolton!

This is a bit off-topic but….

There has been some interesting discussion on this website.

Perhaps the most interesting has been the attempt to explain the psychology of Muslims.
For instance, the habit devout Muslims have of repeating the expression “ peace be upon him”
after every occasion they utter the name Mohammed.

The general consensus seemed to be that the reason Muslims do this is that, at some deep level, they harbour doubts as to whether he really is at peace.
They constantly have to reassure themselves that he was a good man who has now gone to his eternal reward.
Of course, when you consider the evidence for this, this doesn’t seem very likely.
The contributor who introduced this idea was described as “very perceptive.”

My own take on Islam? My attempt to produce a “very perceptive” insight?

Something like this.
To explain it I have to discuss the following point.
Why is the crescent moon the symbol of Islam?

Islam was once described as “an imitation of Christianity” by the great Christian writer G.K. Chesterton.
He made the statement in “The Everlasting Man” a book which is basically a defense of Christianity, a book which I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of becoming a Christian.
The remark, I suppose, bears some resemblance to the view of Oriana Fallaci who stated that Islam has always lived on ideological robbery.

That remark, Islam is “an imitation of Christianity” bears some thinking about.

It reminds me of a discussion I once read on a website by someone who was once thinking of converting to Islam.
What interested him originally about Islam was Sufi mysticism.
He said he found a spirituality there. He did not say wether he found any spirituality in Christianity. Perhaps he had never looked.
I have to quote from memory now. As far as I recall, this guy took a closer and closer look at the spirituality he felt he discerned. He read more and more Sufi literature and more of the core Islamic texts like the Koran.
He liked what he felt was the spirituality of Sufism but was disturbed by what he felt was the hate and violence in the Koran, in the life of Muhammed and in the history of Islam.

And so he came to the following conclusion.
The spirituality he felt he discerned in Sufi Islam had it’s ultimate source, not in the Koran or the life of Muhammed but elsewhere.

It is strange, when you think about it, that Muslims are proud that the symbol of their religion is the moon.
Is there a spiritual light in Islam? Well the Koran states that there is.

2:257 Allah is the guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of the darkness into the light;

If that sounds hopeful wait till you read the next part. Here the Koran reverts to it’s predictable approach of threats.

and (as to) those who disbelieve, their guardians are Shaitans who take them out of the light into the darkness; they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide.

Well, if Islam does contain a sort of spirituality where does it come from? Well, the argument I have been developing leads to the following conclusion. Islam is like the moon. The moon sheds no light of it’s own. All the light we see from the moon is a reflected light, the original source being the sun. Chesterton was right. Islam can be seen as basically an imitation of Christianity.

That, however, is only how it begins.

What might be seen as the spiritual side of Islam might be seen to belong to the early, Medina Suras of the Koran.
Later, of course, the message becomes much harsher. Warfare is demanded against non-believers. From being a derivative cult, it goes to being a cult of conquest.

Why is the crescent moon the symbol of Islam? Because it says somewhere in the Hadith that Muhammed cut the moon in half with a single blow from his sword.

Islam may begin as source of light which is entirely derivative, like the moon. It ends by splitting the moon in half. It ends in a nihilistic cult of violence. This is inevitable, perhaps, if you follow a false prophet.

Here, I think we have the essence of Islam.
Of course, I could go into this in more depth. I intend to write more on the subject of the role of the metaphor in Islam and Christianity.

More to follow.

Actions like this are long overdue of course. The Hague should be taking serious notes on these threats as well.

The red flags have been waving for more than a year now by this fanatic in Iran, Mahmoud Amadnutjob.

This breaks my heart we are losing the best UN Ambassador we've had in a long time. I also agree with what Zena stated above that the Bush Administration didn't try hard enough to keep him and they have become complacent to the new Democratic leadership in Congress. Even Tony Snow apologized to the jerk NBC reporter who is clearly biased in his reporting. We no longer have strong leadership and we also know what to expect from Pelosi, which is allowing every third world immigrant and terrorist in our country to have free reign all due to civil liberties.

Hats off to Bolton.

Pity that Ahmadinejad doesn't give a damn what anyone does or says. But he will when fire rains down on his head.

Posted by: Urban Infidel [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 15, 2006 11:13 AM

The UN is probably laughing at Bolton's idea like the hyenas most members of it are. To them, anything monkey man does to Israel will be deemed as justice. After all, those Nazi Zionists are holding up world peace and promoting terrorism by oppressing those poor palestinians. Better to finish the noble work Hitler began than to let the supreme victims be further denied their precious mythical homeland-so goes the logic of NAZI (Nations Against Zionists International).

Yep, this is so typical, unfortunately.

Santorum, the only senator with a real clue about Islam, voted out in Pennsylvania.

Bolton, the first non-pandering U.N. representative we have seen in...I can't remeber how long, leaving because he couldn't get confirmed, even when the Republicans owned the Senate.

He's right on target. So we reward him by showing him the door. Sad, truly sad.

interesting not_philip, especially considering muhammad practically admits all his recvelation was either stolen from the christians or purchased from the jews!,
consider this hadith:

Does muhammad admit in the qu'ran and hadiths that the jews brought him his scripture but they werent "given", muhammad purchased them! consider the following surahs and hadiths
SURAH 2-78-79-Among them there are some illiterates who do not know their Holy Book; they follow their own desires and do nothing but conjecture.[78] Woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say: "This is from Allah," so that they may sell it for a petty price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they have earned.[79] 2:[78-79]
SURAH 2-174-Surely those who conceal any part of the Book which Allah has revealed and sell His revelations for a petty price shall swallow nothing but fire into their bellies. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will neither speak to them nor purify them and they shall have painful punishment.[174]
SURAH 3-76-77-In fact, those who keep their promise and guard themselves against evil are His beloved, for Allah loves only those who guard themselves against such evils.[76] In fact, those who sell the covenants of Allah and their own oaths for a petty price, shall have no portion in the hereafter. Allah will neither speak to them nor even look at them nor cleanse them from their sins on the Day of Judgment. They shall have painful punishment.[77
SURAH 3-199-And there are, certainly, among the People of the Book, those who believe in Allah,in the revelation to you, and in the revelation to them; bowing in humility to Allah: They will not sell the Signs of Allah for a miserable gain! For them is a reward with their Lord, and Allah is swift in account. [199]
SURAH 5-44-Indeed We revealed the Torah to Moses, in which there is guidance and light: By its laws, all the Prophets, who were Muslims, judged those who call themselves Jews

(this is confusing,if the prophets were muslims ,why do the jews not call themselves muslim, and why do the prophets not tell the jews they are muslims)

and so did the Rabbis and jurists of law. They were entrusted the protection of Allah’s Book and they themselves were witnesses. Have no fear of people; fear Me, and do not sell My revelations for a petty price: those who do not judge by the law which Allah has revealed, are indeed kafirs (unbelievers).[44]
SURAH 16-95-Do not sell the covenant of Allah for a petty price. Certainly Allah’s reward is far better than all your gain, if you but knew it.[95]
In the hadiths, muhammads 1st wife, khadijahs'(cousin/ uncle) was an arab christian and he had set out to translate the gospels into arabic. Khadijahs uncle died too soon and muhammad needed scripture. the following hadith shows the depth of muhammads frustration.Hes been to the cave but hasnt recieved any scriptures, he is contemplating suicide.

9.111:
Narrated `Aisha:
The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good righteous (true) dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion (the cave of) Hira where he used to worship(Allah Alone) continuously for many (days) nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that (stay) and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay, till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read." (The Prophet added), "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, "I do not know how to read," whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read (or, what shall I read?)." Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said, "Read: In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to..... ..that which he knew not." (96.15)
Then Allah's Apostle returned with the Inspiration, his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and then he said, "O Khadija, what is wrong with me?" Then he told her everything that had happened and said, 'I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija said, 'Never! But have the glad tidings, for by Allah, Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good reactions with your Kith and kin, speak the truth, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guest generously and assist the deserving, calamity-afflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to (her cousin) Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin `Abdul `Uzza bin Qusai. Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle, i.e., her father's brother, who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to him, "O my cousin! Listen to the story of your nephew." Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" The Prophet described whatever he had seen.
Waraqa said, "This is the same Namus (i.e., Gabriel, the Angel who keeps the secrets) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Apostle asked, "Will they turn me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said: "Never did a man come with something similar to what you have brought but was treated with hostility. If I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, Gabriel would appear before him and say, "O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah's Apostle in truth" whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain, Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. (Ibn `Abbas said regarding the meaning of: 'He it is that Cleaves the daybreak (from the darkness)' (6.96) that Al-Asbah. means the light of the sun during the day and the light of the moon at night).þ

The very fact that we had Mr. Bolton as our U.N. ambassador for as long as we did gives at least SOME evidence that Bush is capable of doing the right thing once and awhile. I'm not a "Bushie" by any means, but I think that we can be objective about the man. "Dubya" isn't ALL minuses. He's capable of producing a plus here and there.

Posted by: yohannbiimu [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 15, 2006 11:22 AM

Why aren't the names of courageous men coming to mind of those who stand and fire back when these kinds of threats are made? Partly because aligning oneself with victim status is repugnant on its face, as is required to cry foul...and because we're currently in a "sticks and stones" wasteland regarding the Iranian madman. Mr Bolton has, to my perception, acted as only a truly valorous man can...that is, being afraid only of what he ought to. Replacing him with a likeminded soul will probably not happen. Holding ones breath awaiting a condemnation of any earthly entity other than the US or Israel would surely lead to an inglorious death.

Bush put forth his candidate, it was the rest of the Republicans that did not fight for him. If they thought he was the right man for the job or what the UN needed, surely they would have fought for him.

Besides, these UN resolutions etc.. don't really matter. It is simply a forum to bash the US at our tax payers expence!

the only allah khadijah knew was the pagan moon god allah and his three daughters lat, minat and al uzza the pagan arabs of mekka worshipped before muhammad claimed he recieved any revelation from allah.
also while muhammad was in mekka before he and his band of muslim thugs were run out of mekka and migrated to medina muhammads god name was ar rahman not allah!

"Pity that Ahmadinejad doesn't give a damn what anyone does or says. But he will when fire rains down on his head."

Fire raining down on his head?! Americans can't do that anymore - can't affort...and it doesn't work. You can see that in Iraq. That country was coming out of the dark ages, and beginning to come to the West - the society was openining up - there were women students in the professions and wearing pant suits at that! Iraqis were leaning towards the West and leaving the mullahs behind! The populace were united.

We ATTACKED THE POPULACE THAT WAS SYMPATHETIC TO US!
We have to recognize our mistake and not keep repeating it.

Now when we - the U.S. attacked them - there was no place for them to turn to in ideology except the islamic clerics, and the fracturing of the social structure- the imams filled the void. They love separation and strife.

We're NOT animals to just keep on doing the same thing - we have to try different things, now.

Right now, the populace of IRAN is leaning towards the West - they are sympathetic to the West - the "man in the street" in Iran, is Western in his ideal - THEY'RE TIRED OF WAR - yet they'e under the boot of the islamic rulers - they want to get the rid of them. IRANIANS DON'T WANT THEM.

And they're working to get them out. They're doing their best - Protest marches - resisting and getting arrested and jailed.

http://pnews.org/ArT/AiS/SOra.shtml

You can't change them from the outside - not any more. The people have to change from the inside out - and they're doing it! Esp. the women - are waking up and linking a social and political Reform movement is going on there.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/iranpx/

I've read the Iran blogs -seen photos of that country -it's a beautiful country and they're really going forward in everything.

Attacking and bombing Iran, is only going to turn these people against us and the West.

Let's just sit back and let the clown leader do his thing - he's only talking and wanting to provoke, he doesn't speak for THE PEOPLE. He's NOT going to attack isrl- he only said "It should not exist"- and such. That's NOT a call to attack Iran.

ANd how many more of our kiddies are we going to throw AWAY in another war front? Are we going to send the new batches of 18-19 yr olds?

Well, anybody that wants to bomb Iran and open a new Front: "Here's your plane ticket, your parachute and your gun. Go to IT!"

Bolton wants Iranian leader charged with inciting genocide

I agree. The problem here is the Pschotic-In-Iran is underestimated by Muslims and Unbelievers alike. He's a very dangerous and delusional person who could very well bring a Holocaust to the Mideast-including Muslims. The red flags are waving all over when I look at this guy. He may very well succeed in the mass suicide he contemplates as he attempts to destroy Israel. He's very similar to Hitler. Don't underestimate this guy. Kill him.

Mr. Bolton's intentions are both honorable and noble, but IMHO it's way past the time for the UN to "charge" Mr. Dinnerjacket with anything. This may have worked a few years ago.

He's announced that his country will have nuclear capability by March.

The UN is incapable of enforcing ANYTHING; It can only deliver usless reolutions, laughable strongly worded letters or dirty looks.

It's time for action before this twelver tries to bring about the chaos that his Mahdi requires. THIS GUY REALLY BELIVES ALL THIS SHIT! WAKE UP!

Posted by: ShortBoard Surfer [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 15, 2006 1:03 PM

There had never been a more competent US diplomat appointed to the UN in history, until John Bolton took the office there. President Bush knew this man could speak for our interests; unfortunately, at the time, many politicians in the House of Congress and the Senate had opposed vehemently to his appointment. The media had worked very hard to make his appointment unsuccessful, by announcing to the public that the democrats had said Bolton is a “kiss up and kick down” serf, unbefitting to represent the US at the UN, worried that the entire world would hate America—as if they had never hated us. Then, Senator Byrd spent two days on the senate floor filibustering, by reciting poems he had composed, and told many stories of his childhood, one of which was about breaking his neighbor’s window while playing base ball. There we have for a senator, paid over $300,000/ year, to prate about non-sense; of course, he is happily left there by the American voters—there are fourteen of them altogether, but I have only named one. That means, 14x$300,000 /year= $4,200,000/ year (which is a very conservative estimate by the way); evidently, Bushitlers don’t mind it a bit. “It’s worth it even if it takes to destroy the entire country to kick Bush out; despite he was elected democratically,” Bushitlers say.

Now, in regard to the west’s efforts of bringing charges to a thuggish Iranian president, Ahmadinejad, history has proven it useless. Osama had been charged, but still remains at large. Abu Nidal, a notorious terrorist who killed an American, was charged, and was never caught, though he died of heart attack in Iraq before the Operation Desert Storm. Accusation at the international forum is nothing but an empty talk, full of hot air.

Notice, paragraph 6 says, “Iran is accused by the West….” – What good can an accusation do, when the western nations have no guts to impose economic sanction on Iran. Besides, Bolton’s term will expire soon and not be extended, and when the next toothless diplomat takes it over, he will more likely to suggest more diplomatic fantasies, and sadly, most American do not care to know.

One time I mentioned Bolton’s great work representing the US, here at JW; most JW commenter had no clue about who he is, and there was a time someone said, “Who the hell is John Bolton?” Everyone only have Bush at the tip of his tongue, and most cannot carry on a political conversation beyond Bush-this-Bush-that, no doubt they feel smarter that the rest of the world. “How dare you insult me for being unpatriotic?” added with some huffing and puffing.

American cares only about politics, but not about the preservation of freedom they inherited. The forefathers fought for the freedom; we inherited and squander it. It’s so easy to squander it, while having not to earn it. Huffing and puffing, fist waving, and the shouting of obscenity—are all the patriotism we will find in America.

By the way, more than 50% of American citizens were born of foreign countries, which I am one; unfortunately, most naturalized American citizens do not see themselves as American first; they come for the freedom to exploit. Then, far worse than this, is a horde of native born flocking to join the foreigners to support the old countries from where they emigrated, and from where they brought blame America first mentality.

America, you don’t know you have it too good!

You say that Americans voted in byrd, but then you go on to say that 50% of the people here are not Americans. I submit that these non Americans in America have dumbified the voting pool beyond the capability of making a coherent choice. I do agree with you that a lot of these newbie’s are not Americans. Americanism is in ones heart, and not all people have it. There is perhaps a sprinkling of American like thinkers in any given country. It used to be hard to get here and tough to get in once you made it, so we got strong willed tough immigrants. Over the last several decades unfortunately, we have received in many cases immigrants that would be considered bad citizens in gaza, the dregs of their own societies. The day is coming when these non Americans are going to be asked to leave, you doubt that? Watch. BTW any proof of your cited stats?

The central problem of the UN is that it includes anyone regardless of standards. The UN has guidelines in documents like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but allows nations into its body which do not meet the stated principles of the organization.

To remedy the situation - a set of basic, measurable and objective standards need to be drawn up using the UN Declaration of Human Rights. The UN body needs to go through an accounting of member nations to see which meet the basic requirements and which fail. Those nations not meeting standards should be thrown out until such time as they can prove standards have been met. Those nations not willing to open themselves up for scrutiny should be thrown out as well. Such nations do not get access to the UN in any way.

This is how any 'club' needs to be run. The UN should be the country club of the world and the entrance fee is the practice of Rights Outlined in the 1948 UN Declaration. That will fix 'communication issues' pretty quick and will align the agenda of the UN with its principles.

Well said. As a first generation American, I think it is interesting how people forget to truly value freedom. Even those who intellectually seem to do so, don't really understand what it is like on a day to day basis not to be free.

Being an American is a great inheritance. Lets hope we prove worthy of it, and that the flame of West continues to shine.

Bolton is definitely the best UN ambassador since Jeanne Kirkpatrick, who mocked modern liberals in 1984 as those who "blame America first."

I hope Bolton finds a way to stay on the scene---maybe in a more productive Republican administration?

I am against human cloning, but I would make an exception for getting some DNA from Reagan or Churchill to make a new Presidential candidate. Of course, that person couldn't run for President until they turned 35---which would be too late.

tgusa,
You said all that I had never said. Perhaps you can not read.

Duh Ok, explain to me what I am missing?
“American cares only about politics, but not about the preservation of freedom they inherited”.
So, you are some kind of authority on what us Americans are thinking? I smell arrogance, add the insults, and we all know where that leads.

"Let's just sit back and let the clown leader do his thing - he's only talking and wanting to provoke, he doesn't speak for THE PEOPLE".

That's what was said by Lindbergh and others re Hitler in the 1930's. It's deception or naivete to assert that.

The problem is Islam. I understand why alternative belief-systems (Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, etc.) are harassed or forbidden (as in Saudi Arabia, e.g.) in Islamic societies. If the people in those societies ever get a real chance to study alternative belief-systems and be free to embrace alternative belief-systems they will run from Islam because they will have something to run to. Right now, most of the Muslim world is like a beaten wife with no place to go to find refuge, to escape the totalitarian nature of this foot-binding for the mind (aka Islam). They are supremacist out of fear of any competition to this "War is Deception" creed-belief-system.

Ultimately, the belief-system hates-fears the free mind. They want to create the kind of totalitarian conditions worldwide that they have already created at American airports-which only 10 years ago were places where it was almost as easy to get on and off a plane as it still is to drive a car someplace. All that feedom is gone because of the adherents of this deceptive and violent belief-system.

The Psychotic-In-Iran speaks for Islam or else his words would be protested by Muslims everywhere. The Psychotic-In-Iran speaks for Muslim people everywhere. The problem is Islam, not Israel, not America, not anything else.

JSobieski,
It's nice meeting you, and I thank you for reminding me of Jeanne Kirkpatrick, who was quite a brave woman; such a person is rare as precious gems. It's quite encourage to see a new blood like you being infused into America.

I understand you and I are only a small drop in a big ocean.

Merry Christmas and Happy New.

charging Iran's them themthug in chief with genocide with the international criminal Court in The Hague would be a good idea especially if he was picked up on a trip outside Iran on the other hand the trial would give Iran a ton of propaganda that they would twist to their own benefit

Personally I don't get the adulation a diplomat gets here. You have US troops, medics, support personnel out there every day hunting down Jihadis and killing them in two countries and we are honoring someone who makes speeches and gives press conferences?

Sorry, I will stick with the ones on the ground doing the real dirty work. I nominate the US soldier.

Some things are implicit and there is no need to further heap praise on the service man. They are not the problem and as individuals have little effect on policy..one way or the other. Their service is a quiet secret to the average citizen but the violence and physical and personal hardships of their service is not unknown to those who have been there. Take the admiration of your comrades(along with mine) and the casual admiration of others and try to make it enough, for brother it is more than some other American warriors have had.
The praise for John Bolton is well deserved as he is the first Ambassador to the UN from the U.S. who has had a pair and wore them proudly and he made a difference until the left finally had their way and dumped him..de facto.
If some leftist clown wants to point out that he resigned, please don't embarrass yourself. He resigned because he had no choice.

If President Ahmadinejad were to say his remarks on Israel and the Holocaust in certain European countries, he would be charged with saying hate speech.

Two people who ended up in European prisons for denying the Holocaust in Europe were Ernst Zundel and David Irving.

Mr. Pullman should take all of the information he has about Islam and create his own website about Islam. If that ever happens, the site should be posted as a link on Jihad Watch.

Christian,
The trouble with hate speech laws is… as they come and go, do those charged with enforcing them have any hate themselves? Maybe, maybe not but who can really tell, given the evil that some men will do if they get the chance? I would rather allow all speech that way if someone wants to kill me and is saying so, I might find out. Better than them lurking in the shadows,
Keeping their mouths shut and me finding out too late. Its laws like those that do more harm than good. What is everyone in Europe afraid of, words?

How do we show support for this guy? Is there a web site? Is there somewhere I can send him a letter and thank him for being a man and a humanist! Wow it's about time!
Thank God for Mr. Bolton

Bolton is right on, the only ambassador with guts to call straight shots. This detente baloney gets us no where. Why we support the UN is beyond me, it has turned into a big joke and has strayed from its original intentions when formed following WW2.
On another suject, to respond to the blog on Muslims/Mohammed, everyone should read the following book: The Life and Religion of Mohammed by J.L. Menezes. This book is easy reading and a real eye opener.
