Almost every person i have ever heard answer this Question gives a resounding YES to this Question.

Well here we are . Are we going to ask this same Moral Question AFTER Ahmadinejad Does the same things? Or are we going to ACT?

Are we going to look back with 20/20 hindsihght again, or can we take History's Lessons and stop the Tyrant NOW?

If I ran I Israel I would be thinking seriously of decapitating the Iranian nuclear program by dropping some ground penetrating nukes on their most sensitive nuke operations. 10 well placed nukes will take care of it. I doubt that an attack with conventional weapons will knock out Iran's nuclear program. I would also be thinking of turning Qom into a sheet of glass and wasting some key petroleum installations, ports, refineries

I don't know which history books he has been reading but I would rank it right up there with Robert Jordan or Terry Brooks.

I had a teacher who was a doctor of historical philosophy focousing on technology through history. The Hebrew people, along with the greeks, set western civilization on the path we are now. Both for the same reason. Language and religion. The hebrew peoples language consisted of a finite alphabet (25 letters?) thus making it simple for anyone with the will to learn to read. The religion angle was that instead of the world being full of spirits G-d gave man dominion over the world.

Looking at that I believe that we owe the Hebrew people a great debt of thanks.

As for the greeks I do believe most people have learned about their contributions to western civilization.

They plan to found a Holocaust Studies Center in BERLIN -- there's no chance that the German government, with its tough laws on holocaust denial or any nazi-type opinions, would ever ever allow that. And yet the moron from Iran has even appointed a diector, and all. Makes you wonder if they are really so mad and delusional as to believe Angela Merckel will welcome them, or if they are just stupid and have no clue?
It also seems, I've heard, not sure if it was here, that Amhedinejad has been furious because of underground text messages going around in Iran making fun of his doubtful hygiene habits. Would be fun to assist in that, maybe letters to the Iranian embassies all around the world suggesting he take a bath before appearing on TV denying the Holocaust again?

The shias are followers of prophet Ali ( a descendent of mohammmad) who was killed (in a very cruel way) in a place called Karbala by sunnis.

Here are some "moderate" translations of the Quran explaining how islam is in fact a Religion of Peace and Equality, but only to fellow muslim men. I have seen many more harsh translations then these.

I have seen translations without the "during war" part.

[4:91] You will find others who wish to make peace with you, and also with their people. However, as soon as war erupts, they fight against you. Unless these people leave you alone, offer you peace, and stop fighting you, you may fight them when you encounter them. Against these, we give you a clear authorization.

Don't trust the unbelievers even in peace.

[4:76] Those who believe are fighting for the cause of GOD, while those who disbelieve are fighting for the cause of tyranny. Therefore, you shall fight the devil's allies; the devil's power is nil.

[4:69] Those who obey GOD and the messenger belong with those blessed by GOD - the prophets, the saints, the martyrs, and the righteous. These are the best company.

I've seen translations that say not to take Christians and Jews in general as friends and protectors.

Iraq is under sharia law.

The fight in Iraq is about who gains ultimate control, Iran or Saudi Arabia not whether or not they continue to have elections.

Blair nor Bush have or are likely to have any positive effect on the outcome of the war that Islam has declared on the west.

I have been left puzzled about the muslim viewpoint, mostly due to lack of thought, but I had a Jordanian friend who made a big point of blaming the Jews for every. 'It's the Jews' he would say. I played along to see where it would go but he never said anything I could connect with. It all had the tone of pettiness. It didn't dawn on me that his viewpoint could be purely the product of brainwashing. Western naiveté at work.

This is actually relevant to the topic.

Muslims think long term and the word eventually was in the statement, I think it was at least. Since Muslims fully expect to control Berlin in our children's lifetime, that is if the Muslims allow them to continue breathing, it is not far fetched to think that this 'World Foundation for Holocaust Studies' could be headquartered in Berlin without objection.

Just another one of those negative thoughts that have been keeping me awake at night.

Serious question.. Does anyone know of a way that I can participate in something that might actually help our cause here? Something more than just bend every ear that will stand still and listen.

I tend to take the long haul view.

The architects of the Cold War probably did not envision where that journey would lead. The contemporary view of the Korean War(to cite one example) was that it was not worth the 50K US losses...but in the context of history is was one of the numerous "dots" that ultimately led to the collapse of communism and the "Iron Curtain".

Islamic fascism has replaced communism as the threat of the 21st century. It is not unlikely that it will take a journey of many "dots" before victory is achieved.

As it nearly always is, unchartered terrain is fraught with numerous and hazardous unknowns that must be dealt with as they emerge. The notion that even a machine as well organized and powerful as the US can envision and plan for every possible scenario, in advance, is absurd. Such an approach if attempted, would almost certainly lead to the well-known “paralysis by analysis”.

That mistakes and errors in judgment in both Afghanistan and Iraq have been made is not in dispute. But these are just two of the "dots" enroute on a long and difficult road. Just as Truman and Hull did not live to witness the defeat of communism, it is just as unlikely that Blair and Bush won't be around when the West finally prevails over the jihadists.

I believe history will judge their "first step" in a favorable light, regardless of the outcome in Iraq.

The trip to Iran was a nice gesture but it stalled and to quote the demorats themselves, 'cooler heads are now in charge' or words to that effect. These cooler heads will reverse any progress in a matter of weeks, or am I just not thinking strait?

Economics took out the morons in Russia, or do you really believe it was Korea? 50 years later, North Korea hasn't budged one inch. Are the old comrades really out of power? Putin isn't looking so good to me these days. Did you forget about Russia's new law that basically gives Putin the right to murder anyone that talks nasty about him or Russia? The 'fat lady' lost her voice?

By the way, thanks for taking up the other side. To defend my statement regarding Bush and Blair, I will point to the other more relevant issue of the birth canal. In my worst nightmare, Islam wins without firing another shot. This is the one issue from which I cannot find refuge. Help me out, take on that one for me. I need help with it, not a contest, I just want to feel better about the possibilities.

And by the way, I do not see the similarities between the Korean war and the Koran war :)

Help purge the enemy of common sense...called political correctness.
Startwith yourself and your home, and work outward from there. It will help you think with a much clearer head and reach the most logical conclusions...as well as clear away all the cloudiness broughton by islamofascism and the islamofascist-friendly press who also adopts politicall correctness in everything it does and says...which is reason #1 people are so confused.
