An update on this story, from an Americans Against Hate press release: "Senator Boxer Rescinds Award to CAIR." (Thanks to RF.)
(Coral Springs, FL) Americans Against Hate (AAH), a civil rights organization and terrorism watchdog group, appreciates the decision made by United States Senator Barbara Boxer to rescind the award her office had presented to the Executive Director of CAIR-Sacramento Basim Elkarra. Both CAIR and Elkarra have exhibited the type of extremist behavior that is not worthy of awards or accolades. Former officials from CAIR are currently in prison, serving time for terrorist-related crimes involving Hamas and Al-Qaeda. In fact, CAIR can thank Mousa Abu Marzook, the second in command of Hamas today, for its very existence.
Unfortunately, too many in America's government, media and religious institutions have made CAIR out to be a legitimate group, rarely mentioning its numerous ties to terrorism. AAH and its subdivision CAIR Watch were created to expose CAIR and others like it for having these ties.

It must be the phony santa suits that have fooled these people that Boxer refers to; at least if I read this correctly, he is one of the few willing to do the right thing for a change.

This is tremendous news, because it shows the power that can be wielded by simple grassroots groups like AAH who are willing to call out and expose one of the most radical leftist senators in U.S. history!!
Hopefully this is the beginning of a groundswell of protest against the insane anti-profiling legislation being mentioned by such pro-Islamist congressional hacks as John Conyers and Nancy Pelosi!! I suspect they are on some level in collusion with CAIR and the notorious '6 imams' who are attempting to portray themselves as the 'Rosa Parks' of the Islamist movement!!

We all know that Boxer is no real ally in protecting this country. Yet, for this appropriate dissing of CAIR, Sen Boxer, we thank you. Could you please clue in Senators Levin and Stabenow--your liberal colleagues-- that we are watching and demanding a cessation of the islamization of our nation.
JWer's take heart--our message is starting to get through--let's call it "the Goode News" in honor of the new tone setter of the day Virgil Goode. It is time to get down business and enlist our families and friends in the cause--we need a constant stream of email, phone calls and snail mail into our congress to get things done.

I recognize that weasel politicians(basically all of them) must pander and ingratiate themselves ad nauseum for donations. Im also aware that most often staff, not the office holder approve these types of awards, assured that points of some kind are scored with constituents or donors.
Now im left with the suspicion that some of the senators staff suports CAIR, the senator herself supports CAIR and its aims and objectives or they all do and laid down their public support only after being called on it.
No way to dress this little piggie up.

What is up with these women pols in Ca.? They are as sneaky as the enemy.

They get the vote less than 100 years ago and with these types leading them they wont have it for the next 100. Just look at one of their press conferences and you can see the America haters gathering around their leaders. We must call them out on every issue no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.

Finally, a show of brains.

How's that for a little Christmas present? A rather memorable day-better mark it on the calendar because things like these are hardly ever seen.

Senator Boxer is a liberal. She is nuts. She only rescinded the award because of tacit financial advantage.
Proud to be a crusader!

Only reason she rescinded it was the enormous amount of bad publicity...even from the left out here, which is saying something.
She's no "liberal", she makes Stalin look like Rush Limbaugh...and only people from the san fran-sicko "chronic" newspaper are fans of her (It's also why their paper is tanking, too...it's pravda revisited).

Here is Senator Boxer's email address:

Instead of calling her "nuts," etc., I think it would be nice if others, especially those JW readers in CA, would take the time to send her a *positive* email to thank her for her decision to rescind the award. I've just done so.
I have friends who've worked for Senators and Representatives, and they will tell you that the overwhelming majority of correspondence politicians receive is when people are complaining. Contacting them to thank them for doing something *positive* (which rescinding the award to that CAIR scumbag certainly is!) will definitely make an impression.
I wish all my fellow JW readers a very Merry Christmas, Hannukah, and anything else you care to celebrate (or not)!

kaffirchick,
Good idea, I think I will do that. You are right, honey works better than vinegar every time.

Wintness,
I think you "type-oed" (sp) and your "he" should have been "she". Minor but worth mentioning. We must be politically correct... no?

even politicians can learn, but they are like the mule that you need a 2 x 4 between the eyes to make them listen and Barbara boxer is like a mule. Especially coming from the land of fruits and nuts. Maybe all the bad publicity. She's gotten over even given this award might make her think in future

Senator Barbara Boxer to rescind the award!!!!????
Isnt America coming up to elections??? wouldnt this go against her chances of re-election???,,,could this be the reason for her rescinding this award, and will it be given again after the elections???

Maybe someone told Barbara that Muslims aren't feminist, and, in fact, her and her constituents back home, wouldn't last as long as a snowball in hell in an Islamic country.
Let's hope so.
