I also think the anti-Islamist movement is growing every day in the US, not diminishing. We have our trusty Islamists to thank for that, who just can not help themselves in their words and actions. Their deception tactic grows more superficial with each passing moment.

There will be a push to pass "hate crime" legislation on the Hill. As such laws always do, it will serve to stifle free expression that reflects negatively on the protected class or classes such legislation covers.

Rep. Carl Levin D-MI and Sen. Nancy D-CA have already indicated that they'll reintroduced the proposed criminal legislation proscribing "religious profiling" (i.e., profiling for Moslems). Look for Rep. Keith Ellison D-MN to be a named co-sponsor on this bill.

I also look for the introduction of a separate "hate crime" law proscribing religious intolerance (i.e., criticizing Islam) during this legislative session.

It'll be a big day when this undemocratic crap rolls up to the Supreme Court.

Surely we can tolerate some small limitations on freedom of speech in order to serve the cause of peace. Hateful insults and disparaging remarks about Islam and its Prophet Mohammed serve only to humiliate and offend our Muslim brothers and sisters. When the islamophobes responsible for such anti-Islamic activities are jailed or rendered bankrupt in civil proceedings, American Muslims will no doubt feel more welcome in this country and will refrain from violence.

I have no doubt whatsoever that "hate speech" laws will be enacted. For one thing, nobody will fight against them, and most liberals will actively support them. As for the President and the Supreme Court acting as a final barrier, I have one word for you: McCain-Feingold.

I have been lurking reading the comments on this website for quite some time. I think we need to get serious if we not wish this century to be the century where our children have to deal with the fallout of the spread of Islam.

As far as I am concerned, the 1900's had to deal with the totalitarian systems of thought called fascism and communism. That has been won. Nobody seriously beleives in them anymore.

The 2000's will have the problem of Islam to deal with. And to my mind the battle is mostly with thought-forms and ideas. Becaus without a doubt, having read the Quran and seen quotations from various Hadiths and the Sira, Islam is totalitarian. It brooks no rivals. And it seeks to dominate the earth where non-Muslims and controlled by Muslims.

But first, there is a bigger problem in the West. And that is in most Western governments and instituations (e.g. judiciary), liberal thought is the guiding thought-form. Frequently it goes hand-in-hand with political correctness. And frequently it is not democratic but paternal (witness the European political elite trying to overcome the voters of France and Holland who said "no" to the constition. Naturally the European political elite "know" best - which I find avuncular and arrogant). I think also the USA to some extent is better off than Europe over this matter.

And in the case of Islam versus the liberal establishment, Islam has and will - run rings round it. It will make use of it. The liberal elite will constantly seek to appease Islam just like Chamberlain versus Hitler. It has invented that propaganda word "Islamophobia" and it trying to persuade liberal Governments to pass anti-hate laws and so stifle debate on Islam.

I have read Robert's books, Oriana's books and others (Alan Deschowitz's : The case for Israel), Lawrence Auster's papers, Daniel Pipes, Walid Phares, Bat Yeor's books.

So to my mind, we need to get more political.
We need to educate all non-Muslims and in particular the liberal establishment.
We need to convince them the danger is real.

From all that I see, I don't beleive that President Bush or Tony Blair are aware of the danger. Their thinking is that there is a "decent Islam" when in fact, history, to my mind, teaches that Islam goes through periods of dormancy. Dormancy should not be mistaken for decency.

I have had and still do have Muslims as friends. On a personal level, I have no problem with them as human beings. I have cooked halal food. What I object to is the thought-forms that Islam teaches. And while they believe that, they are a danger to myself and my family and my nation. Even if they are benign, who is to say that their sons or their sons sons will be benign?

I watch most things that go on this planet very carefully. I read what goes on in countries far from my own. And I am aware of what the world is likely to be like in the year 2020. On a daily basis I watch what goes on HIV/AIDS world (and Hepatitis), read all the UN reports on HIV/AIDS, follow what goes on in demographic trends, notice what Ultrasound has done in India & China hospitals, the assassination of Theo Van Gogh in Holland.

By the year 2020, Russia is likely to have a significant Muslim population. It could be 40%.
Part of that is to do with fact that the average Russian man lives no longer that 59 years (due to poor health, alcoholism, drug injection). Putin's State-of-the-Nation address commented that year-on-year they are losing 3/4 million people. And part of it is to do with the low birth rate in Russia (as it is in much of Western Europe - except France). Russia is likely to decrease from 149 million to below 100 million in the next 20 years. Murray Feshbach at Georgetown University, Washington DC has been watching Russian demographics for decades.

Other European countries like Germany are likely to shrink in population from 80 million to 60 million (while France grows from 60 million to 8 million). Britain will increase slightly - mostly because of loss of control of the borders.

But in all of this, with the indigenous population in Europe shrinking due to people having no more than 2 children, frequently just 1 - the big thing will be the Muslim population will grow as they have larger families. Both France and Germany are expected to have large significant %'s of Muslims (20%? 30%?).

I wouldn’t worry much about laws stifling free speech. We have laws against speeding but you all do it, I do it and our children will do it. Liberals trick themselves into believing they can control us with “laws” but despite all attempts to crush the pro gun lobby, it still remains a powerful force. Other attempts to change us or our moral beliefs also fail. None of our changes in our long history are a result of “laws”. We changed slowly and adapted to what benefited the majority. Islam benefits no one.

Americans can not be controlled. Our differences are our real power and can not be hidden, ignored, combined, tweaked, modified or silenced.

Some will fall under the spell of Islam. We will lose the weak, the scared and the easily intimidated. The rest will stand, they are already standing both here at home and overseas. What bothers me is that, if our Dhimmi government passes laws like this, the FBI will be busy trying to infiltrate message boards like this to see who we are and trying to track us done for disobeying the law instead of trying to find muslim terrorists. I'm sure the Dhimmi's in congress will see to it that tracking down anti-muslim folks is more important than thwarting terrorists, well until the next plane flys into the Capitol Building while congress is in session.

i don't think the problem is the immigration. i think it has more to do with a complacent citizenry. very few vote. most just complain about things, but never actually ever do anything about it. its like they don't have a stake in this society.

i think we should limit citizenship to people who have done public service, either as a civilian or in the military. we know THOSE folk have a stake in this society and culture.

What do you consider to be public service? Some of our most dedicated "public servants", from judges to senators to presidents (past and current) to civic groups like the ACLU are busy destroying our society in the name of political correctness and winning the next election.
You stumbled onto the truth when you suggested that they were the only ones with a stake in this society and culture. They're taking it away from everyone else.
We can talk amongst ourselves about the danger Islam poses to our society, but we can't change immigration laws and we can't take unilateral action without ending up before a judge. We have rule of law and we respect it. We can't have too many children because we want to be responsible parents. So I guess that makes us losers. We won't go to the depths of those who would destroy us from the outside and there are too many well-meaning people on the inside who are destroying our society all on their own.
What do we do absent a revolution?

There should be a test similar to obtaining a Driver License before we are allowed to vote. Simple questions about our system and history. We could throw in some trick questions such as, do you think Martians are working with the guvment at Area 51?, to weed out the nuts. Too hard you say, can’t pass no matter how hard you try? Tough, this is important stuff we are dealing with not the laundry list. We should limit the voting pool to those who are not getting guvment assistance. Programs like Social Security that some of us pay for by working should be exempt. In the beginning it was only Landowners that had the vote but now any who qualify should be allowed, except jihadists of course.

Incidentally the words Al-Kuhul come from the Arabic and it is contained in its distilled form in many medicines, ointments and cosmetics throughout the Islamic world. Think, about it: If it weren't for the internet, we'd know nothing of the happenings in Thailand or the Phillipines or wherever else Islam is threatening.

Obviously, this is bad news but we need to look down the road a bit and towards the future. Most news will be broadcast from the internet instead of tv, radio and newspapers. This could put a whole new spin on anti jihadists getting their story out there.

But yes, it is still bleak news.

Since there are no accurate figures available about the population of Muslims, it is actually a pile load of BS that they keep on claiming they are the fastest growing religion in the World. It is not even clear if they are meaning by numbers of the rate. Rate would be meaningless if they don't know the number of Muslims accurately.

Now it boils down to whose estimate that one would believe. Definitely not the exaggerated posted by the Islamic sites such as CAIR.

that "boiling frogs" can be interpreted two ways.

1. we're the frogs, and the water is kept cool enough for our cold-bloodedness so that we don't notice that it will be raised ever so slightly and then faster and then boil--and we will try to hop out, but to where?

2. they're the frogs and we turn the heat up now, fast, all the way up, and watch 'em hop back to the umma, taking the native frogs that have joined them (one Douggie something-or-other and Keith what's-his-name) back with them.
