This morning a lot of people have been sending me this story from Newsweek about Senator Barbara Boxer rescinding an award to a CAIR operative.

Yes, first with Jihad news most of the time!
But check out this link:

Sept 17, 2001 -- isn't that six days after Sept 11?
Isn't that bush meeting according to the caption, Nihad Awad of CAIR second from the right, in a mosque/cultural center?
WHY?
I'm not sure if I am overly cynical, but why do I not get the impression that bush is mourning the loss of 3000 people in New York -- if the time frame is correct??
Why is

Whoops.
Oh well, given the Christmas holidays and all, it is not surprising that some people missed some stories - even a person as diligent as me...

Ironing out news briefs about the Boxer story... someone's gotta do it.

The Newsweek article should be seen as providing eye opening information to an ever widening audience.
As a California resident, I send letters to both Senator's Boxer and Feinstein about Islam on a regular basis.
So far, her responses, though timely, have been uninformed boilerplate.
Perhaps this embarrassing situation will help her rethink her understanding of other Muslim 'advocacy' groups, and even Islam itself.
I've faxed a thank you note to her with the suggestion that she not meet with CAIR for any reason.

By calling Virgil Goode a bigot, the establishment now has the credentials to start telling the truth about CAIR. Goode will be forgotten, because they don't want to recall that he spoke the truth.

Not true! This site is always first with Jihad news and fresh information on militant Islam. I have learned so much from this website. I have received the best education in Islam. I come here every day

Wondering if Boxer will now use her recent revelations to accuse Bush of lying to us again?
Boxer, being what appears to be a committed Multiculturalist. Now telling us that there are some things we shouldn't embrace?
Could someone please ask Boxer who she hates more. Bush or Radical Muslims.

Let another example of how too many of our politicians are simply not paying attention.
As a Californian; I am embarrassed by the liberal senators and congresswomen like Boxer, and Nancy Pelosi that we have here and just don't seem to get it. They apparently demonstrate that they are way behind in what is going on around them and along the Potomac River just down the road from the Pentagon along what some have referred to as Muslim drive.

And Bush Does??
Come now GW looks pretty pleased surrounded by his CAIR friends in that picture.
I will give Sen. Boxer some credit. She saw the light even if she is still wrong on 10,000 other issues she at least appears to have gotten this one right.
Good for her...
Now will Bush make a similar declaration??
Does Bush understand the danger CAIR represents??

The move outraged CAIR officials who charged that the liberal Democratic senator was responding to the writings of Joe Kaufman, a blogger who has expressed sympathy for slain Jewish extremist Meir Kahane in the past , and whose columns regularly appear on the Web site of conservative activist David Horowitz. CAIR has formally asked for a meeting with Boxer and demanded that she withdraw the action—which one top CAIR official said smacks of “Islamophobia.”
(from the Newsweek Article)
The sheepskin disguise has been blown off in the wind once again exposing the CAIR wolf beneath. Hear them howl. Boxer should not accept the invitation. Hopefully Islamophobia will spread after CAIR's origins are revealed to such a large audience and people will seek further available evidence of this groups attempts to undermine America's politics and culture.

"Boxer, and Nancy Pelosi that we have here and just don't seem to get it". -Mackie
They get it. I'm sure CAIR looks upon them like an overbearing-controlling-boorish Muslim husband who has suspicions about his wives. In the case of Boxer, the suspicion turned into reality. Nancy is cut from the same cloth-LOL. CAIR deserves such deception, and faithlessness.

Posters here, and conservatives in general, need to ask the same question of themselves: who do you hate more, the Democrats or the jihadists?
If Boxer, for example, came out tomorrow and said that Islamic terrorism is motivated by the Qur'an, would the response here be "Oh yeah, she's just doing it for political points", "she's such a scammer", "flip-flopper", etc. etc. etc.? But when GWB changes his rhetoric from "war on terror" to "war on religious extremists", many here are fawning all over his "great insight", his "patriotism".
When a politician of any party takes steps to curtail, or at least recognize the existence of, the jihad (and not just the violent jihad, but the equally dangerous jihad by taqiyyah/bribery/corruption), I would gratefully acknowledge it. When a politician of any party continues to parrot the "Religion of Peace" line (Jimmy Carter, please pick up the white courtesty phone), I would criticise it.
Are there liberals who fail to understand Islam and jihad? Yes. Are there conservatives who fail to understand Islam and jihad? Yes. We should be helping all of them to learn what they need to know, not playing petty politics with the issue.
This is one of those rare issues that transcends liberal vs. conservative. There is no benefit to either party if jihadists attack us violently or if they weaken our laws and our ability to speak freely.
The left has strengths (willingness to serve in the military during times of war, desire to protect free speech) and weaknesses (desire to include everyone, no matter how vile their beliefs), and the right has strengths (committment to Judeo-Christian values and loyalty to the flag) and weaknesses (historic tendency towards isolationism and resistance to civil rights) too. We should be playing to the strengths of each, and working around the weaknesses of each. We all win if either succeeds, and we all fail if either continues the way things are now.
Ca-can't w-w-we all just (sniffle) g-g-get along?

It is unfortunate that more often than not, the Left in the West gets it wrong. Look at the Left in Islamic countries. Even if they aren't Quran thumping loonies, they still share the hatred of Infidels in the way that Jihadis do - they are with the Left as far as the West goes, in Pakistan, they are as anti-India as Lashkar-e-Toiba, in Arab countries, they are as anti Israel as the Ikhwan (see both Saddam and Assad) and so on. This is a major advantage they have over us. Out here, we can't even capture the entire GOP, let alone both Left and Right. There, there are hardly any pro-Infidel factions. As far as will goes, they are way, way, way ahead of us.

Barbara Boxer Rose Queen? See below for details.
Barbara Boxer: Where to start? There is so much, but first I would like to apologize for all the harm she has done to this country and for the harm to come. As a third generation Californian, I am embarassed that anyone can get elected to office in California, if they are a Democrat, support abortion, equal rights for any and all minorities and women, and say the right things about the environment regardless of inconvenient details. Sort of like Barbara S. famous environmentally concious singer and Boxer supporter, poluting Malibu beach with her septic tank sewage runoff.
Supply Side Barbara:
Did you know she is an economist? That was her degree, however, numbers are not her long suit. She wrote 143 rubber checks on the house bank over three years, totaling $41,417. She supplied the rubber checks and we supplied the money to her.
TV Drama Barbara:
The Kenedy's got nothing on Barbara, Camelot west turned into Dynasty when daughter Nicole Boxer married Tony Rodham, Hillary's brother. This is a merger marriage of Latin American proportions. Maybe Hillary and Barbara can duke it out in a major cat fight a la TV's Dynasty.
Pepsi Girl Barbara:
When Barbara was ekected to the Senate in 1992, she did so on the back of Anita Hill and her questionable accusations against Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas. She beat Bruce Herschensohn with a late charge after it was learned that Bruce was a knuckle dragging oppessor of women, when it was learned he visited a strip club.
Rose Queen Babs:
If you wish to tell Barbara what you think of her good or bad, I suggest you send the message on a rose. Not just to honor the Rose Bowl game, but to congratulate her on her effective stand on the American electorial process. If you go to the Wikipedia under Barbara Boxer you can see her possing like a rose queen in her office for her stand on elections. When she introduced a resolution in Congress that the Ohio 2004 electorial college results should be invalidated, the vote was 1 Yea, 47 Nay, She is so far out there she is on her own.
Rust Belt Babs:
The previous postings about how she gets it, are soooo wrong. It really is too bad she lied when she said she would retire in 2004. When she starts her hearing this year on global warming and CO2 emmissions, all I can say is hold on to your wallet and hope you still have a job to pay for the utility bills, while you tool around town is a car that yells ass-clown. Meanwhile, the manugacturing jobs will leave the US even faster to move to countries like China that don't give a rat's posterior about CO2. The entire US will be Cleveland if she has her way.
To the previous posters that had anything good to say about Boxer, you have no clue. It is truly amazing how an empty head like Babs could rise to such a position of importance. But then what do you expect from California.
