France begins to awaken to the obvious. Global Islamic terrorism today arises from the jihad imperative within Islamic theology. It is absurd to assume in any case that terrorism in Indonesia or Kashmir would cease if the Israeli-"Palestinian" conflict were somehow resolved. But of course, that has never stopped anyone. From Israel Today, with thanks to Fjordman:
An official report published recently by the French government says that resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will not bring an end to the threat of global terrorism. The report, named “Internal Security vs. Terror Threats” is an official publication of the French government. The report says that “since Europe is closer and more accessible to the Middle East than the United States, it serves as an alternative to anyone seeking to attack the “distant enemy.” Europe contains a variety of appropriate targets, some of which are connected with the United States and with Israel, and a strike on one or more of these targets would draw huge international attention.”
In addition, the report says, Europe has a large population of Muslim immigrants which creates an area where there is direct contact with the conflict areas.
The report also says that “some of the conflicts in the Middle East are mentioned extensively in the rhetoric uttered by the Islamist terrorists. However, the resolution of these conflicts would have no effect on ending global terror, which is functionally disconnected from these conflicts.”
Sources in Israel have attributed great importance to this report and the that it separates the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, along with other conflicts in the Middle East such as the situation in Iraq, from the phenomenon of global terrorism. This distinction in the report is important, they say, mainly because there are many in Europe and around the world who believe that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is at the root of global terrorism, and once that conflict is resolved, global terror will end.

They woke up?
I hope so, it's for their own, Europes and for the worlds sake.
Feed them with facts and truth about Islam. They need to drink the milk to get mature and not to get lost again.

I am constantly amazed that the people who rule us and no doubt have access to reports from all over the world on the continual violence being perpetrated by the ROP are not able to connect the dots. Then there are all the treats issued by Immans,Terrorists and even leaders of Governments all citing the 'Book of Hate and War' (Koran) as their justification. It seems to me that they really cannot be that stupid but if that is the case why dont more western leaders stand up and be counted, and I dont mean 'The War on Terror' bull lets say what it really is Islam against Civilisation. Could it be they have to keep quiet to keep the oil taps open?

"Could it be they have to keep quiet to keep the oil taps open?"
I think you are exactly right.
Every now and again a politicion will pop up to praise the "great and noble faith of islam". But it seems like its always a token gesture like a diplomat or an ambassador trying to court favour.
The way I see it is that the rich are exploiting the poor(Is it possible for them not to?). I mean why do they dump the immigrants in the poorest areas? The poorest people have little or no public standing or influence so they are easliy dismissed as racists/bigots if they complain.
I believe when the middle classes start experiencing difficulties with mass immigration, thats when things will get done because they are listened too.
Im not good at putting my thoughts into words but does anyone else kinda get what im trying to say?

"I believe when the middle classes start experiencing difficulties with mass immigration, thats when things will get done because they are listened too."
Such optimism. Would that it were true.
Elites in America don't care what ILLEGAL immigration is doing to the middle class. Mass immigration? Here the two are one and the same. It means more votes for whichever party sees it as a net gain. It means cheaper labor for all employers, no matter their political persuasion. It means the further dilution of the middle class, making it easier for the elites to have their way without fear of the ballot box. It means more regional and multinational governments, a la the EU.
We could start large scale protests and we would only end up in jail. The illegals, many Arabs and Islamists among them, will reap the benefits.
Our leaders (Europe and the US) have sown the wind. We, the people, will reap the whirlwind.

Almost every country does this. Look at President Bush and his relationship with the Saudis. He said "Islam is a religion of peace" and has not recanted.

I have been looking around the web for a while for a link to the report but I have not found one, only a link to the Israel Today story. Does anybody have a link to this report. I'll believe it when I read it.
